I love Nami's cards in Legends of Runeterra. They are a big diverse cast of Marai. Plus the interactions in-game are nice (particularly Nami's interaction to Diana herself)
@@nymradjoshuadaulayan883 They technically do by synergizimg with spells but they are weaker compared to other cards in Targon or the prank archetype in Bandle City.
I prefer the interaction of Shelly with the dark merman (We're doomed). I'm a simple guy in terms of humour after all. Funnily enough in-game Shelly is broken and the dark merman is awful.
@@nymradjoshuadaulayan883 on paper they do, to be fair. Small spells are good nightfall activators and also fuel Nami and Shelly, plus there is a 2/3 elusive nightfall, and the 2 mana 'refill 2 spell mana if you behold a nightfall unit' follower
Fizz's tribe might be dead but that doesn't mean this species is. So there might be other tribes of yordles that look just like fizz and have similar practices and lifestyles.
Nami, Loto and Tama are all actually in a poly relationship. So they are actually in love with each other. It was confirmed by a Rioter (I believe Nami's writer) on Twitter. Polyamorous relationships are also confirmed to be canon on Runeterra now, specially amongst the Marai.
@@JurgenKristoff not all Vastaya are shapeshifters, most aren't, those are the Oovi-kat, who are much closer to the ancient Vastayashai'rei than most modern Vastaya.
Nami's tale: Brings up her being already on her way to find the Lunari to do their old exchange, meaning they'll eventually have to get to that plot and possibly reveal the reason behind the Solari being so against the Lunari to even hide them even having existed Necrit: "But why do all the Marai *love* Nami? They can't mean it in a more platonic sense like relatives love each other non-romantically, right?"
Bro, there are different kinds of love. The kind of love I am getting from the tribe is literally familial love. Some of it might be deeper, but for the most part I see a deep knit community supporting the one person who can save them all with all their heart.
Yeah in tribes all around the world, there are people living differently than us in our cities, and there are peoples who have been loving other members of their villages/settlements/groups for generations in an intense platonic way, because it's tradition there (so it goes into the way they talk and behave)
Oh my gosh the Loto qoute actually made me cry. Loto is down in the dark fighting the abyss for his entire tribe. Day after day and I felt Tama had a deep respect for his role and dedication to their people. Vastayans love Vastayans.
Necrit, do you know about the Battle Bonds card? Check it out, Pantheon is likely going to be the next Targon champ, so that should be the reason why Nami was placed on Bilgewater.
@@FreeTheRats_ Yes, the GOD Pantheon is in the celestial cards (Also Atreus appears both in the Warrior and in The Arbiter of the Peak art) but the HUMAN (Atreus) is an entirely different character

Curiosity: The River Spirit Nami skin is based on a brasilian Folklore character named Iara, wich is a mermaid that sometimes is described having green hair and is found singing sat on the rocks of river banks, seducing people with her voice. That's also why this skin is called Nami Iara here in Brasil.
People usually have different interpretations of what love means, in the west you usually say you love someone either because you hold them dearly and/or is in a romantic or sexual relationship with them, in some cultures and religions, "love" is often used to describe other things, like family as a whole, or the sentiment of brotherhood and companionship. An example of this that happens in the West are Christian churches, where it's not rare to see people saying that they love one another simply because they view themselves as siblings through faith. I think that the Marai may have some kind of unity and companionship between them that they chose to translate as "love", with that not necessarily meaning romantic and/or sexual relationships.
We do know who's with who, tho. Nami, the Marai Songstress, and the Abyssal Guard are all in a relationship with one another. The three of them are in a polyamorous relationship

One of the authors (Meaghan Bowe) confirmed that Nami, Loto and Tama are in a polyamorous relationship between themselves, so they do love each other romantically :D
Quick thing to your channel or more to you directly Necrit :D Friends and i were playing pen and paper yesterday and during a quick food break i showed a friend of mine (who enjoys your content as much as i do and holy shit we love your content) your reaction to the pentakill stream and your reaction to you being named be dissonance viego. His first reaction to me pointing to a comment that said "Holy shit Necrit is canon in Pentakill lore" was: "You know what that means, do you?" Me: "Uuuhhhh." Friend: "Welcome to the League of Legends Champion spotlight featuring 'Necrit, the Keeper of Ancient Stories'" And we both just lost our Shit xD
Fun fact, it was actually confirmed that Nami, the marai songstress and the abyssal guard are in fact in a polyamorous relationship and that polyamory is common amongst the marai which is a really cool represantation of both bi and poly folk :)
Maybe the relationship between Loto, Tama, and Nami is just like the relationship of Valmar and Kai, it is based on traditional practice and ceremonial stuffs, something like that. Like, the Tidecaller, The Guard, and the Songstress all must have "this kind of relationship" or something
And the fact that the background of the ocean yordle clearly shows that he is in the Yordle realm could also hint that Fizz's tribe had decided to return to Bandle city or at least part of it.
interestingly enough her voice lines in LoR are filled with water sounds as she is swimming her way through her quest in contrast to her appearance in LoL where her voice is crisp clean
Yeah, I don't think any of them are couply couply. They're simply a very close knit tribe, in her card interactions she calls the Songstress "Beloved" too.(or as you said all of them are)
too be fair Nami seem to have 2 partener in her interaction ludo seem to be her "hearth" and the songstress seem to her her "soul" what ever that supose to be (may be the hearth is more the physical relationship and the soul more the psycologic one? I don't know it just in her card interaction tho to be fair I do think you are right they just kinda like each out and doesn't fear say it like humain does just everyone like each other in there culture it seem ...)
I think that spirts and people like Nami are just really loving towards everyone. Or maybe all that was just some weird marketing tactic in the spirit blossom event. I’m not sure.
i saw somewhere that the marai songstress, nami and the abyssal guardian were all in a relationship, like a tri-couple(?) a polyamorous relationship. Don't know if its cannon but if it is i think it would fit the whole "mermaid" theme around the marai (them being more free-flowing and more open to love more than one person) or im dumb and they all just talk like that with everyone in their tribe, but that would be kinda meh tbh
the marai warden didn't have feet but a tail with 2 tips, just like different fish have different tail types for different swimmers, although they were meant to look similar to legs
Isn’t the shark trainer located inside bandle city? I mean you can see in his artwork the bandle tree and floating islands with waterfalls in them. So it’s possible that fizz’s tribe is in runeterra while the shark trainer is living in bandle city and would still make fizz the last of his tribe.
