Now THAT is how to demo a guitar and make it wanted! He dug in on that first guitar good and hard, no babying, and hell now I really want one in the trans. black!!! Great demo guys!!!
Man it do worth it, I was about to buy a beasty strat and found a Godin Icon Type 3. Bought this guit and can tell you it way better than any fender or gibs hand down. my next guit will also be a Godin for sure
The Montreal Prem looks to be a real alternative to you-know-what which can only be A Good Thing.Have to smile though at what some people call "clean" --3:49
I like Godin guitars for the most part, but the model name on the headstock in that generic font is not inspiring to me. I think it detracts from an otherwise nice-looking guitar.
On the Montreal Premiere, I love the concept, but having binding on the body and the headstock without including it on the neck looks goofy and unfinished to me, kind of like old Gibson prototypes. I guess I'm kind of an "all or nothing" guy when it comes to binding, but I would not buy this guitar because of that design omission..
Guitar companies kill themselves trying to duplicate the Gibson 335. Just can't be done. Save up your money, and just buy the 335. So many guitarists own like ten cheap guitars, really all you need is a few good ones. Sorry Godin
