5:42 ...nope. For those who've read the World of Kong book, there was, indeed, a whole species of Kong apes out there (Megaprimatus kong). The onscreen Kong is the last specimen of that population of apes. The species became extinct courtesy of a multitude of factors, among which was the intensive hunting at the hands of the Vastatosauruses. King Kong is a very particular specimen: larger, stronger and smarter than his relatives, which is why he managed to outlast other individuals from the same generation as him, the last generation for that matter. Basically, V.rexes hunted kongs to extinction, that besides a whole bunch of other stuff. All of this aside, awesome, detalied review as always. Man I wish there was an articulated version of the V.rex to go in scale with the SHMA 2005 Kong. And some JP/JW theropods as well like Rexy, Spino, Giga and I.rex. My life would be complete. Please Bandai!
Well Gorosaurus is a homage to the T-rex from the original King King movies from the 1930's. So by that logic, a new Monsterverse Gorosaurus would be based off the V-Rex!
Hopefully there will be. Bandai making an SHMA Kong 2005 without giving you the option to pair it up with a V.rex is just lackluster work on their part.
