So proud of you!!!! I feel like NaNoWriMo is as much about habit forming as it is about hitting an arbitrary word count. The act of writing every day is the ritual of building a version of you that writes almost or close to almost every day. The version of you that writes everyday is way more likely to publish a book in the next 10 years because you are doing the thing every day! Very proud of you!!! And I will continue to repeat that YOU MUST MAKE ME A BETA READER!

Hell yeah, fictional beach day and coffee run -- those are always fun episodes in anime so why not?! I've struggled with the dream of wanting to be a published author, but lately, I've been trying to reframe how I think about it --> I tell myself that the point of dreams isn't to make me miserable and how could I live these next few years writing with joy if I lead with the belief that I KNEW I was going to be a published author. When I take the uncertainty off the table, I'm able to do more and enjoy it.
Congrats on making it all the way to the end!! Getting into the habit of writing every day is so important and is going to make such a difference over time. I believe showing up every day is so much more important in the long run, even if you don't show up exactly the way you want to. I hope you keep it up, and please send me an arc on day 🥰

I think the time of getting published is why I turn most of my stories into roleplaying games I run for groups. I have people ask me with all the world building I do, why I don't just write them as novels. My answer is that the first story would probably take years of shopping around and editing to get published. And I'm fifty stories deep. I like the feeling of instant gratification when I can see the players really get into what I've built. Or to be able to tell that it's falling flat and I can correct course. Nonetheless, I still try to get some stuff down on paper for when I'm not working constantly at my job. I do pity the poor characters I create, though. You're way nicer than me. I put most of mine through pure hell! If there is some weird dimension where one of my characters met me, they would be so angry and disappointed. Everything they go through just for some mild amusement. Maybe I should be a little nicer and not burden them with my own angst. Awesome video! Congrats on getting through the month in one piece! I'm so jealous of you -- I need to get better world-building skills in order to create my fantasy story. lol and characters need conflict in order to grow -- I could stand to be meaner to them. But that last day of nano, I was like, "This is your day, buds. We're just gonna do banter and beach days until I hit 30K words" lol
I'm so impressed you pushed through! When I know I won't hit 50k I usually quit...quitter Camila is lame, persistent Jay did amazing! Writing every day is wonderful! I know what you mean about your longest dream being a published author. I'm the same. And I'm probably nearly 10 years older than you. You're not running out of time! But it's good to take the time to work on our dreams rather than only think of them. And you writing every day is part of that! You can do it! If you ever need some eyes on a draft I'm here with no judgement :)
