When you have anxiety, your perception of yourself is way different. She has a beautiful personality. She’s a real down to earth person. Anxiety is lying to her.
@@ParArdua you’re right..it’s possible shes in a very deep, dark place.. maybe even in a psychiatric facility. People really just never know what the next person is going through... that’s why it is important to be kind. That quote was real... Humans are evil and selfish. People care more about the game.. some people have taken their life for depression and anxiety. It’s very real and I have dealt with both for most of my life. She literally can just go retire and go live whatever life she wants. I believe she’s gone to heal and is going to come back stronger than ever 💪🏿 🎾 🙏🏿
Never saw her interview before (and happened upon this after hearing about her $15K fine and depression issues) but am absolutely charmed by her quiet and genuine demeanor. Wish her a quick recovery.
Exactly. She seems like a very kind hearted person. The press rules are vague and against people of different cultures. I think thats why the Japanese snooker player naoyuki oi simply blabbers stuff on mic and leaves. Pakistani cricket players also have this difficulty communicating in media. doesnt mean they should be slapped with fine.
Let’s just hope she doesn’t turn out like Serena - a diva (wannabe) & a bully. Serena was sweet & she when she first started. Then she started winning grand slams & her poise & charisma went out the window.
@Explore Video yeah, as long as you’re not the linesman/woman, referee or tournament director. Of course you’d love her if you’re on the tour as a player. Birds of a feather, flock together!
I am japanese and i am soooooo proud of her🥺 i love that she speaks english in an american accent yet i still get the japanese vibe from her. Her dry humor gets me every time i watch her interviews too
too bad she's not Japanese. She's American. If she wasn't a famous tennis player and she lived in Japan, your people will look down on her because she's not pure Japanese.
Ellen trying her hardest but Naomi gives away only what she wants. She seems like if she's your best friend she would truly be your ride or die best friend, but with common sense that wouldn't let you put yourself at risk lol
"Please block me" Bahaha. I love that she's herself! She's not putting on a front or facade like some people do in general. She is really funny and super cool!
The exchange about her sister at Stanford, but not at Stanford, but in Florida, in college, but not in college, very funny. Naomi capping it off by asking if the reporter had been reading wikipedia, or something, was also funny. Japanese reporter makes a detailed statement instead of asking a question, and Naomi deadpans, "Yes." 😄
Naomi is so likeable. I hope she recovers from her current injury. People need to recognize that injuries come in many forms both physical and mental. She is my inspiration.
What a humble and charming girl. She's now struggling with anxiety and depression disorders. Wish her the best. She deserves privacy, not being exposed and RESPECT. MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!
Came here to hear her after the news of her leaving the French Open knowing nothing about her and must say she's an excellent interviewee and just a very humble human being with great comic timing. I think she's great but can understand how stressful the whole fame thing must be. Loom after yourself (not that she's about to read this!)
That's why I love her. Shes just so down to earth. Hope she'll bounce back soon. I'll miss her on court. That shy smile tucks at my heart strings. Get well soon Naomi. Your fan from South Africa. 💗💝
Very interesting to see these clips. Clearly Naomi Osaka is a sensitive and intelligent woman who has an engaging personality, but who also sends out messages from time to time which have been studiously ignored like "I'm not good at talking." Surely the contribution Naomi can make to tennis is more valuable than having interviews with the media with no apparent boundaries. Hopefully a mutual understanding between players and the media can be established regarding the scope of her interviews because I am sure most tennis fans would rather see her play in tournaments. In the context of tennis tournaments, one has to ask whether or not the media is bigger than the tennis. Surely not?
Imo She doesn't need to be the tennis GOAT. She's such a beautiful and interesting person...Personally I wouldn't mind to see her try her hand at acting. She'd be great in a Quentin Tarantino flick. The way she presents herself off court, subtle yet deep, would play nicely onscreen...
She is extremely kind, humble, sincere and very natural at the press conferences. I love her and her humour, these answers are pure gold. It's sad that the press conferences are stressing her so much that she needs to opt out of the tournaments. Get well soon dearest sister.
Adorable girl. One of the best on the tour. There's Naomi and Simon Halep, Kvitova (can't remember her first name at the moment - ah, Petra.) Naomi has great natural humour.
I’m not a girl but at this time you are definitely my favourite player and I am not new to tennis. When you entered into the Tennis World I liked you immediately 🙏🤗❤️
You are my favourite tennis player after Federer and Nadal. You are awesome ! Love your sense of humor. You are a beast on the court and a bunny off the court :) Love from Sri Lanka
