@@emilybabye7187 it's a big flex. is extremely difficult to serve toss a ball that straight, consistently, then you need perfect timing as it comes back down
@@Baratheon. Bencic is one of the best in terms of Ball toss and "perfect timing" The way she returned the ball on the rise with such power and accuracy, the way she hit on a high ball during rally, the way she finish point in front of the net. It shows us how good she is in term of "perfect timing"
13:18 Osaka has to do more of this IF she wants to be competitive vs. Bencic. Redirecting the opponent's pace is crucial in their encounters, Bencic has done this better in 2019 than Osaka. In a deep squat redirecting the ball down the line for a winner, a very tough shot to execute but that's what it's going take against Belinda!
@Jan Valach at times Belinda was making me think of Federer by the was she played, her game forward and at the net. No doubt they are both skillfull. But Bianca won the match only with tenacity, composure in the big moments and fight spirit. I can't wait to watch her next match. Me I prefer Belinda, she look very humble.
@Jan Valach u have a big crush on belinda. Its funny how everyone just remembers her just bc she is the cryptonite of osaka that will tell you much. You cant compare grand slams winners and big title winners as anreescu and osaka to average player belinda bencic. Whats her best achievment? 2 semi finals in grand slam? Oh it is just sad... And she is older than both of them
100% agree! I think it's because they r americans and they liked all the buzz there were with Osaka and Gauff the american the previous match, and also cause Osaka was n°1 and champion in title. But as a Bencic big fan, I feel it so unfair and not nice. I watched the match but didn't remember it was like that... So sad Bencic lost in the semis, cause she dominated Andreescu, she should've win, she had 1 billion times more break opportunities for 1 set and a half. Bianca has been soooo lucky to win the 1st set where she faced a looot of break balls and didn't obtain even 1. In the second set, it was 12 break balls for Bencic to 0 for Andreescu. What s shame this result!
It's specially shoking to have that few applauses after the match point. Very mean crowd. Osaka rarely smile, Bencic always, so, she should be more appreciated.
Once could see here is that Bencic has a far more varied game than Osaka. She can play at the baseline & at the net. And she used all these options tucked in her sleeve magnificently at the right times leaving Osaka with a clueless look on her face. Really like how the Swiss picked apart Osaka's game here.

"There's gonna be a new champion in NY" at 14:21... How did the commentator predicted that? Wasnt Serena was also in QF that day, eventually reached the final?
I guess he wasn't counting Serena winning the tournament. Neither was I. Bencic was really close to win that US Open. The match against Bianca was real close, she had her chances, and both of them were playing better than Serena - well, aside that Serena was choking badly at finals due to pressure: she went from 90% 1st serves to barely 55%.
Their style is so similar it's like playing yourself, the main difference between them is Osaka has a bigger 1st serve and Bencic has better volleys. 11:52 the perfect rally to illustrate their strength at one point, Osaka's firepower vs. Bencic's depth and ability to change direction.

renju rai nope you are wrong and ignorant. She had come off an injury and Mary Carrillo and Pam Shriver later announced at the next tournament confirming her health problems during the USOpen. Any trainer will say if one isn’t fully recovered you wear a brace. You don’t wear that big a brace when fully recovered.

@Lady Wander Serena reaches finals so I doubt Nike has a problem with that, she does not play often. I do not see Osaka winning since people have seen her weakness and it can be easily exploited; she reminds me of Sharapova as there seems to be no willingness to improve in speed/movement and netplay. She also clearly has no idea how to handle pressure and the media will constantly remind her of what she could have been. It depends on their contract but I am sure if she fails to defend her AO title they will cut her pay drastically.
@Amanda Cerny the reason she got signed for so much money is because she is a 2 time GS champion and former number one; Nike did not go looking for her before that happened so the notion of it not being performance based is a joke. Doi is another Japanese player and gets nowhere near the same amount of money
