Hi Linda. We walked from the port to the Municipio metro. Took 5 mins. Three stops to Garibaldi train station. Then 5 mins wait for circumvesuviana train, then 40 minutes, passing Pompeii station to Sorrento. So in total about 1 hour. On way back from Sorrento, we took the hydrofoil back to port and that took 50 minutes. Hope the video was clear and this reply helps. Ray
@@RaySuesTravelChannel Great thanks Ray it’s very clear. I have a trip next month and will do the same. Train ticket was bought onsite at the train station or online?
@@lindawu5890 Hi Linda. We bought all the tickets on the day. Metro was €1.60pp, train was €3.40pp and the hydrofoil was €14pp from the sellers you see in the Sorrento port on the video. Total €19pp for the whole trip. Hope your visit goes well. Check out lots more content and tips for travellers on our channel if you like. Cheers. Ray
@@dianez9211 Hi Diane. Yes, the cumulative time for walk to metro, then metro to station, then train to Sorrento was about an hour. The train journey is around 35minutes. This is easily doable in an hour. You could also stop off at Pompeii Station and see the ruins then continue your journey to Sorrento. We spent about 2-3 hours in Sorrento then got the 2pm hydrofoil back to the cruise port as you have seen. If you dont want the cheapest option and the great views from the circumvesuviana train, then direct hydrofoil to Sorrento takes around 45 minites.Hope that helps. Ray
