I have only scanned up to about 10 pages and saved as a PDF. While I don't have any experience with scanning very large documents (eg. over 1,000 pages) I have Googled and discovered that the PDF file format doesn't have a limit on the number of pages ... but you may run out of system resources with very large documents rather than hit a PDF file limit. So I suspect that using NAPS2 to scan documents with 1,000s of pages may well hit system resource limits rather than a NAPS2 limit. Good luck ... I hope NAPS2 works with your big documents. Save interim PDFs as you proceed with the scanning so that you don't lose everything if there are problems. And if there are problems - it may not be NAPS2 at faults but a lack of system resources that is causing the issue.
@@Helpful-Stuff I scanned several documents of over 100 pages flawlessly . I was able to easily import and move around other PDFs, add, delete and reorganize the pages. This is an amazing piece of software! I sent them a $50 donation so I hope they'll keep it up.
Fantastic news :) ... I have been using NAPS2 for over a year now and I have never had a problem with it. I typically on scan 1 or 2 pages ... nothing as long as your 100+ page documents! I am glad I made the video to promote this excellent software :)
Thanks for the detailed how to. But i hope you can help me: the options of my scanner in the windows setting doesnt show naps2 as an option. How can i resolve this?
You do not need to select NAPS2 in your scanner settings. It works the other way around .... You select your scanner in the NAPS2 setup - watch the profile setup that starts at about 30seconds - the "Choose device" button is where you select your scanner. Then when you scan a document your scanner will use NAPS2.
Very good sw i will use with old pixma without catridged i restarted to trick printer the catridge inside and used scanner with these and win 7 driver in win10.
I tried to get my old scanner/printer to work without ink cartridges and totally failed. It was a pity because the scanning function still worked OK. I had to throw it in the bin and buy a Brother DS-740D scanner. Given the amount of electronic waste I think printer/scanner manufacturers should be forced to allow the scanner to work without any printer ink cartridges.
@@dragandragan6469 I have a Brother DS-740D ... I have made this video about my scanner ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pUtAOTvgoZU.html
