I just noticed that Drake seems like an actual person now and that Nardwuar makes everyone he interviews seem normal and like an actual person instead of an icon.
Honestly I was hating on Drake for so long but I cannot deny his talent. He’s funny he can sing he can rap and he can act. Looking at this HOUR interview he does come across as a cool cat. Me and plenty people have labeled him soft but he’s just a regular dude
Vernell Thomas drake don’t get enough credit for his rapping ability, everyone jus says he’s trash because a lot of his music is soft and meant more for females but if you actually pay attention to his rapping, especially on projects like IYRTITL, you’ll know he can actually spit, I ain’t denying that he’s made some terrible songs but his entire discography isn’t trash
I think that's probably what keeps nardwuar going and drives him to keep the quality up are the interviews where the guest shakes off their PR persona and just talks like a regular person. And to watch people genuinely appreciate what Nard is doing.
11:43 I love how Drake was about to ask "How do you know this?" but he realized midway that he was about to get the "You are Drake, we have to know this" and stopped.
Nardwuar be like: Do you remember this sock Drake? This sock here Drake? Do you remember this? THIS is the first sock you ever beat off in way back in the year 2000. Here Drake this is for you. But we love Nardwuar for how prepared he is lol big ups!
+M I G I Yeah, this is the one of the most difficult problems in my life! Everything is always about "How do you make friends?" "How to be cool?" Whatever, just some bullshit. But no one cares to explain how to keep in touch with people and not make it feel weird...
Nardwuar: "What is the most that you've thrown at a strip club?" Drake: "I think it was like $50,000" *Looks at Nardwuar for a reaction* Nardwuar: "And I have some gifts for you..." LOL
@@Byemyself00No it wasnt drake is lying. That was literally a twitter theory he ran with nobody believes ts check the dislike to like ratio on his new track
+Yung 2K God i think it has more to do with environment, so no i dont think he should use it because he is from a pretty good white neighbourhood in Toronto, yes his dad is black and from Memphis but Drake aint from there..
Trey vert thank you so much honestly bro much appreciated 🙏🏻I don’t keep up with pop culture like what’s going on and all but I was really curious thank you so much.
Thats how i look at :A...someone who i see being succesful and just being proud :B ..the girl i my bed right before ...its about to go down (kevin hart voice)
NARD: "Why should people care about drake?" DRAKE: "Well, umm... I mean, it's an option to care about drake if you want, but, you know, uh..." This dude's gotta hire a ghost writer for his next interview
I am not the biggest Drake fan, but after watching this I definitely am going to listen to his music differently. Hes a humble guy and I guess I never saw that side until now. Big up Nard.
11:43 Drake: "How do you ---- nvm.." He was about to ask how he knew this but he knows Nardwuar is just gonna say "You're 40 and Drake, WE HAVE TO KNOW!" im dead
+2stepracing if u believe that ghostwriter bs just listen to the music and dont try to go behind the scenes because u obviously dont know how music is made
nardwuar knows music like ive never seen. that man loves music, and loves what he does, gotta rrspect that. plus he out here givin more gifts that oprah.
I have no clue why the universe has kept nardwuar from me until today BUT I'm so happy to have found this. This is my 7th straight video and I'm hooked. Nardwuar, your passion for music, interviewing and just straight culture is beautiful. Thank you
+Zaire Lewis I met him in a urinal before he played in his band and he's always on fire. A Canadian legend, the greatest musical interviewer this world will ever know.
all interviewers should take notes and be like him..every artist that has done a interview with him wants to do one again. free gifts that are hard to find and he knows alot about who he is going to interview keep up the good work
