@@rayanebelfellaj6167 yea he's comical, fun rapper with mostly witty punchlines. He's good for laughs. I prefer conscious rappers with clean cadenced flow and message that I can learn from.
It’s so weird, lil Wayne is usually uncomfortable during interviews and walks out sometimes, he seems to be enjoying himself. Can’t believe I missed this.
That's the Nardwuar effect. Everyone loves Nardwuar. Funny, polite, does his research, doesn't ask stupid questions, charismatic, entertaining... He's the GOAT of music journalists. The only rapper I've ever seen uncomfortable around him was Kid Cudi, and that's probably because of his depression and anxiety issues back in the days.
All these people he interviews are big rappers and celebrities, but when he starts handing them things that remind them of their childhood or early ages, it's interesting seeing them as "normal people" and kind of humbled
@@sosilverraider7119 of course its why he does it look at the way he asks the questions and his facial reactions when he puts the mic up to their mouth hes just eaiting to get a reaction out of them its cool
Wayne is very very articulate , he doesn't talk in the same way other rappers do and can convey his thoughts is a very clear, direct and well spoken manner.if you watch alot of his interviews you will see how he can hold conversation and doesn't talk like a guy straight out the hood who talks like they have never been to school.
+IFreakingEatPeople I always knew he was an intelligent person because he did very well in school but that's on an academic level I'm just impressed with the man's general knowledge
in all of these interviews i gain a lot of respect for the artists he is interviewing because they all have a real level of knowledge and intelligence about music
+RyanCreatesThings I don't think you understand. Watch Jay-Z's Interview. Wayne is actually down to earth and he's not half-assing the interview. He's not answering with dumb remarks. I actually learned stuff in this I never would have known had nardwuar not asked, or had he said something else or would not have gone into more detail. Thats what people appreciate.
I've seen a few people say that Lil Wayne didn't recognise the greatness that was in front of him, but I don't think that's true. He's just probably super relaxed and high. At the end he cracks up laughing so hard and says "I fucks with you homie belie' dat", called him a crazy ass dude in the rhyme... He was definitely showing respect
Nardwuar interviews are so key, they can literally change how I feel about an artists personality just based on how they treat him. Lil Wayne was mad respectful here, which is dope but so far Nardwuar interviews have made me lose a lot of respect for Kurt Cobain and Travis Baker.
@@fourpvrk kurt was super smacked out i think? or just doing that im too cool for this. but the 3 part interview. he opened up more. but remember i dont think kurt was in a good place to begin with. the others esp krist was a dick. even courtney seemed more chill. the sonic youth eipisodes are the worst. the drummer from blur, outright mean. and henry rollins ptst vibes..
Something so wholesome about seeing Wayne participating in all of Nardy’s shenanigans. Wayne during this era was a loose canon. If he didn’t like your vibes or was in a bad mood, he’d just walk off 😂
If you actually listened to all of his pedigree you'd been known he was a smart ass dude. No question why he was able to establish a fan base that spanned across so many different demographics.
I’m too big of a Wayne fan. But the reason he is relaxed and receptive and different then other interviews is because he’s fresh off performing a concert. He’s always in a good mood after.
Nardwuar is absolutely the best and it seems like all the hoodest people love the fuck out of him. Of course, it really just goes to show that people are basically the same deep down, which is another nice underlying theme to Nardwuar.
Glad you said that... I feel the same way. What he does for his interviews transcends any color lines and takes people back, and it seems anyone and everyone respect it.
he showed up in the hood where i wa at one night waiting to interview an artist that was in the area. it was a trip he did the statue thing until i said doot doot.
the reason i love these interviews is because Nard has a way of getting these artists out of their celebrity "act".... about halfway through these videos the artists literally transform into actual human beings that i think i could actually chat with..... and im surprised by how much they actually do seem to know about music and music history. Who wouldve thought that under all of the fame and bloated celebrity are actually really knowledgable and passionate artists and lovers of art in general.
Like you said, it’s all an act. Anyone who reaches the highest levels of success is usually highly intelligent and knowledgeable, regardless of how they portray themselves publicly.
Not to discredit Nard but this is what happens when you treat someone with respect and don’t ask backhanded drama based questions trying to get the headlines. He interviews artists with an almost childlike curiosity and does his research as well.
His ability to make a celebrity feel some comfortable and human is amazing. These interviews let you see what these guys are like with people they know.. and his ability to get people to like, trust, and respect him is unmatched. Truly one of the greatest interviewers of all time who has mastered his craft
yet again, nard has a celebrity deliver the best interview they've ever given. props to nardwuar as always and lil wayne whos literally still sweating and just got off stage after a long performance, could've tried to cut it short or snub nard but he embraced it and made for a classic.
Dude I can honestly say I hardly ever subscribe to people but this man deserves it. I’ve never been the person to like interviews but man this guy can make peoples faces blow up with excitement and it just makes me happy! Keep it up man
This guy knows human interaction way too well. As soon as they shy away he brings them back. For the most part he keeps the control. These rappers are busy. For him to come in and do this is amazing.
Deshaun Daley Wayne been doin it since he was 9 and just dropped the dedication 6 Go listen to big bad wolf U said prime should say greatest of all time
if you hate on wayne you obviously dont know that this nigga was on top of the game for a straight decade ! he might be fucking up now but gotta admit he was killing everyone back in the day
@@thelofipimp yea kinda lmfao but he was having a lot of fun and doing what he loved, that album helped make him one of the most hated artists in the world but he never lost his skill. Can't believe that comment was from 2016, he was at the peak of his lyrical ability back then
The respect amongst these two, makes this interview absolutely incredible, I watch this like 4 times a year and I will forever say, nardwuar is the goat
I miss Weezys hairline so bad! Wayne if you reading this i beg you to cut them out and try re grown them... Birman put too much stress on ya roots my G!
Nardwuar interviews make me so uncomfortable (in a great way) because you get to see artists actually be vulnerable and real. He's truly the best interviewer of all time.
