Nice will your well set up Your right it's cheaper to fit oil filters and save costs on repair from poor service spot on use a top quality antifreeze and you get good service from it with anti corrosion inhibitor Well done great to see your looking after your engine looking like new well done really clean it looking like it's just been fitted like it 👍

Brilliant vid will.so many of the boaters get ripped off when getting ther engine serviced basically because they don't understand how things work. Extremely helpful :)

Always surprises me that narrowboat engine bays dont have a whole load of small LED light strings under the decks and around the swim to illuminate all the nooks and crannies. Good vlog Will, happy 2022.
I do have led lights in my engine bay and around my T V. Surprisingly they use a fair bit of power to keep on. I don't want to illuminate all that dust in my nooks and crannies Rob. Ha ha

I have the same engine and lovely it is too, just once or twice I have found my engine bay soaked above the swim, for no apparent reason, just the same as yours in pools, dried it off and not happened again for a few months, if you work out why it happens could you post it, cheers
I looked in the engine bay again today and all the walls are dripping condensation. Pools of water in the engine bay and at the back. Bloody hell. It's got to be a reaction from a hot engine and cold steel. I'm giving it a clean out tomoz. Thanks Eddie..Great idea about the pump...
Good work Will, I love watching your maintenance videos. Have you ever attempted to change the glow plugs? I’ve sucked up loads of videos on removal of glow plugs but they are on general Diesel engines and like you I have a Beta 38 so I’m a bit apprehensive. Mine is a 2004 boat so I doubt if they have ever been changed. Any advice apart from, “don’t do it!” Cheers mate & happy New Year.
Just get a socket on them and give it a go. That's my advice. That's what I'd be doing. I recently removed the glow plugs from the Taylor's Isuzu engine and they came out quite easy. Go on go for it Paul. Cheers
The build up means building down and getting rid of most of your stuff. I didn't film that part I wasn't blogging then but that would be really interesting to see what I do have on my hard drive. Let me have a look. Happy new year to you buddy.

Hi Will beta recommend the same oil in my gearbox as the engine wondered why you use transmission fluid, thought that was for automatic transmissions ?
No I phoned Prm and they said the clutch needs a high compression oil able to with stand alot of pressure. What gearbox have you got. Later gearboxes may use engine oil. I know the 150 uses 15/40.
