Another great vlog Will, great work with the gearbox. I have the DJI Mini2 drone and I can tell you it takes quite a bit of getting used to, they say if your a gamer then the control pad is easier to use as you already have the muscle memory. I can recommend 2 apps the first is Drone Assist which alerts you to local fly restrictions, the second is Airdata UAV which tells you if the atmospheric conditions are ok for you to fly. Anyway watch RU-vid there's loads of content with regards flying drones. Anyway buddy take care and I will see you on the next one.✈✈✈🙃😉😊😁

Well will another interesting and informative video from you. Which is very helpful to a lot of people who own a narrow boat. Unfortunately people have no idea that they have to make sure that the engine and gearbox have to be lined up.. I have seen Axel's ripped out because people have not lined up the gearbox after changing a clutch. To be honest I hope you never have to use a disabled scooter to get about.i have know someone who was living on a narrow boat who was severely disabled.. They had filled a electric ramp to the boat and a stair lift to give him access to the the inside of the boat..I believe that it went up for sale earlier this year. If I remember rightly he used a folding electric chair to get about when he visited the shops.i under stand that many times he had run out of battery with his wheelchair... Perhaps that's why he sold up.and moved. Anyway will keep smiling mate keep safe and well.filthy thumbs up 👍👍👍.

This reminded me of my late grandmother. She use to always say, "If you're awake all night with a troubled head, just sleep with a gearbox under your bed". 😊

I'm so glad you went up there to recce my holiday for me, it was a bit like travelling on a Narrowboatwill theme canal... "oh that's where he moored up that time... oh yes, recognise this bit... ooh, this is the water point he used, I remember it well... " 😂 It was a great trip, best cruise was from Hest Bank over the Lune Aqueduct, through Lancaster and on to Galgate. Cruising on a sunny morning and we only passed one boat after four hours! Nothing behind us, nothing in front... we owned it... until that boat... 💪🤣

You have to pay the grain mafia if you want to enjoy your rest. Think you could build that mobile thingy. Next project? 😂😂😂

Hi Will. So thats how alignment is done, always wondered. Those mounts are shocking aren't they. Inappropriate material for the environment they operate in. Pretty much a consumable like oil and filters. Good job as they say. Keep up the flow of vlogs.👍👍. Paul.

I wish I could see you getting into the canal see how deep you sink into the stinking silt. It's awful stuff. I do hope you throw away your boots afterwards if the silt is deep they're never gonna smell nice kept in the boat lol. I've seen a small boat inflatable rib fly down the canal and I mean flying but with grown adults in, they fail to see what damage the wake does to wildlife and banks. When in my kayak the wake from the boats is as close to surfing as you can get on inland waterways lol. 😅 Your drone was a good purchase I hope we see some footage soon. Flying lessons eh Will. Amazing what a bit of oil does to a rubber mounting. I remember the kerfuffle you had when you fitted those mountings a couple of years ago.

You should make your own mounts by removing the rubber and adding better rubber

Hi will,I remember when I rebuilt an original mini I used non rubber mounting bushes. I think they might have been silicone based.

Do you reckon you could get those oil seals out and replace them without splitting the box? Or would you not be able to undo/tighten the output flange nut without being able to get a firm grip on the shaft (ooh-err…)?

In the film “Flower of Gloster” they drained a short pound to make a dry dock to fix the boat.Maybe l shouldn’t give you ideas 😂

It's surprising how much grief a little gearbox can give you lol , but they do seem to put them in awkward places don't they ? , anyway , no more droning on 😅😅

Will We have same gearbox (your new one) When you checked the gearbox oil is it ok to hand tight the dip stick i tighten with a spanner but could I be doing damage ? How often to you check the gearbox oil When I first got the boat I was checking nearly every time we cruised (it never altered) Now about every fortnight any thoughts ?

Knowing that there’s rubber composites available,more suitable for your engine mounts annoys me.Maybe try some automotive mounts instead of that “ marine rubbish.Can’t believe you flew the drone inside the boat 😂

What have you done with your ex wife Will, thought awhile ago she was coming to stay a few days? Enjoyed this video, but I dare say you’ll be sore after doing this fiddly job. Keeping the old gearbox under the bed, good move Will. 😊

I've had to skip the last 2 1/2 vlogs. As a tradesman my self I can't watch people do DIY. Drives me nuts. It's like waking up on a sunday morning listening to skill saws.....eekkk. I haven't watched Will but I'm sure your followers have enjoyed. Prefer the banter of tiller man and the undulating brown waters of the canal passing by.
