There is only one real set of rinnegan, which were originally Madara's that he awakened when he was old and close to death. Those were put into Nagato, so the Pain eyes we saw were originally Madara's. Then Obito took them and put one of them in his own socket. Madara's reanimated eyes were Rinnegan because that body had eyeballs and they took the form of Madara's eyes, which are rinnegan. (Recall how reanimated Itachi still had his Sharingan even though his real eyes were inside Sasuke at that point.) So when Madara came back to life for real, that body became his own body, which has no eyes at this point because they are elsewhere.

Y'all don't realize it's been a month since a nonfiller episode when these were first aired. Yes the flashbacks get repetitive, but it's needed to an extent. Your viewing experience is so much different from ours

Suraj, it’s not really that ‘modern anime’ have stopped doing extensive flashbacks. The main difference is that the vast majority of all the other animes that you guys have reacted to have been seasonal series’ with set episode counts that are released every few years. Whereas Naruto is one of, if not THE actual first, the first long-running continually airing series that you guys have checked out. These sort of extensive flashbacks are always much more common among the long running, continually airing series than they are among the shorter, seasonally released anime. Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, DBZ, etc. are all much more prone to tons of filler and flashbacks than other series because there were times during production when the episodes were getting close to being caught up with the manga chapters so the studios had to drag out a bit of time while they waited for more chapters to be written.

Madara's pokemon adventure in next episode is gonna be epic.

the rinnegan everyone is using is madara eyes which he unlocked after ingesting and cultivating hashirama's cells after their final fight when they were alive. the reason the real madara has no eyes is because before his death if you remember he gave them to obito who gave them to nagato, then obito took both back from nagato's corpse, but only used one because he couldn't handle the chakra strain of using both eyes. so madara is simply taking back what is his and now he can actually fully use them because he has absorbed sage jutsu and more specifically hashirama chakra so he is essentially the sage of the 6 paths. he is essentially fighting blind while using sage jutsu to sense his surrounding like naruto can.

Think of it this way, There is only one pair of rennegan out there that originally belonged to Mandara, but now he doesn't have it. Madara, now that he has absorbed Hashirama's sage chakra, he can now see far better and sense almost every small change around him even with his eyes closed. He now has senjutsu activated for the rest of his battle.

Madara awakened the rinnegan a little prior to his death -> obito couldn’t handle both of them in it takes too much chakra (nagato is apart of the Uzumaki clan, which are known for having deep chakra reserves) -> obito gives them to nagato-> pain uses them and dies -> obito goes to get them from nagatos corpse and says he’s there to get them back -> Obito puts one in and still has his original sharingan -> madara comes back to life and his artificial rinnegan disappears-> needs to get back his eye from obito and black zetsu has the other one hidden

Go Rana! For remembering that Madara's eyes were fake. And the Choku Tomoe (Straight Pattern) is a concept they didn't explain fully ever. It just implies that some people manifest a special Mangekyo Sharingan pattern that's straight line and gives you fluid movements. No Madara did not absorb all of Hashirama, only the sage jutsu. Madara is 10x more dangerous alive than he is as a reanimation. He can absorb chakra to replenish (infinite chakra) and then he actually has to fight with caution now. All of his skill and technique and experience is about to burn through everything with full force.

God... knowing how much crazier this will get on top of what already happened is pretty exiting.

Madara's original eyes he had implanted in Nagato and one of them currently Obito has with the other one hid. Kabuto hypothesized (him & Orochimaru did through their experiments) that Madara was able to awaken the rinnegan due to taking a portion of Hashirama's power in their final fight which was to believe where Madara died. Madara confirmed this and the reason why he has Hashirama's face is DUE to this hypothesis. Because of that hypothesis, Kabuto theorized that he could in a way "force" the rinnegan to awaken again as an edo tensei for Madara. It worked, hence how Madara was able to use a rinnegan when he was a reanimation. Now, he couldn't fully maximize the rinnegan's ability since a REAL rinnegan can control the Gedo Statue cause it is the outer path jutsu, which is the path of the rinnegan that has control over life & death. A reanimated rinnegan can't have such power, otherwise Madara would've just summoned the Gedo Statue and hence why Obito knew Madara needed him and allowed him to take the lead Madara's plan was for him and Obito to force Nagato to use rinne rebirth and then take his rinnegan out of Nagato to then cast the infinite tsukuyomi once all the tailed beast had been put in the Gedo Statue. So Madara's plan still happened even though the specific step-by-step plan failed ever since Nagato used the jutsu after Naruto vs. Pain

Hey guys, love your reactions to Naruto! I'm typing this down on my phone as I am watching an Naruto OVA that still hits the feels of my nostalgia. It is called The Story of Naruto vs Sasuke. It is basically a music video of their whole story with a bit of a twist of the final Naruto vs Sasuke fight since this came put way before. Obviously watching it after finishing the series is the best but it basically has no spoilers so far so hope you guys can watch it and maybe react to it.

Also remember that like the sage of six paths sons the uchiha clan had power in their minds and the senju/ uzumaki clans had power in their body. Sasuke susanoo is the power of his mind, like a hollow astro projection, like the skeleton, the mummy, or the hollow armor. While naruto's kurama mode is the power of his body. It looks like a giant fox with power of the sun. A force. So when sasuke rapped his susanoo around naruto's kurama tailed beast mode it was kinda like mind over body. It's the same reason the uchiha can control tailed beasts. Not a spoiler it's just one of those things you to have to figure out for yourselves.
