The Last: Naruto the Movie - Group Reaction

I actually find it funny, comparing the dynamic of Naruto and Hinata to Minato and Kushina - how they were basically exactly swapped between the personality types. Minato was more quiet, reserved and kind but deadly serious when need be, Kushina was brash, overzealous and reckless but fiercely loyal and loving to the ones she lets in. And it's the fiery one that gets her eyes opened to her feelings, in a moment of being saved by the quiet one. Naruto is basically Kushina almost entirely personality-wise, while Hinata fills much of the Minato role in terms of personality (especially in The Last). And it's Naruto, just like Kushina, that has his eyes opened during the process of a rescue mission, only the situation is reversed with him filling the rescuer role like Minato and Hinata the rescued role that Kushina was in (and the one needing rescuing even being stolen away from an inborn trait beyond their control in both cases - Kushina for being a jinchuriki, Hinata for being the Byakugan princess/heir of Hamura Otsutsuki). It's funnily and cutely poetic, if you think about it. And it's a great strength of the film to condense the Naruto-Hinata relationship blossom into the runtime in a way the show/manga never had time for, but still make it feel natural. Same with how the show/manga handled Minato and Kushina's history. Edit: And technically, Hinata did actually pull the full Minato - going solo against stacked odds to rescue Naruto - when she jumped in vs Pain. It just didn't work out well for her at the time. Though I actually like the role inversion of the "eyes opening to feelings" between Naruto and Hinata. Kushina falling for Minato because he was kind and saved her life by herself (complimenting her hair in the process, which she was self-conscious about) is understandable especially at her age at the time. Naruto being the one doing the rescuing and in the process having feelings bloom and at an older, less impressionable age and with someone he's already known for basically his entire life...idk that's such a neat and interesting contrast that I haven't seen much of. Like not falling for someone saving your life, but trying to save someone's life and, independent of that, coming to terms with your own feelings for them and making the rescue take on a new level of significance.

Sakura literally overpowers Mind Transfer too. Even when someone does manage to hit her with a genjutsu, she typically gets out before anyone else and is back to having full conversations like it was nothing.

They say jinchuriki who tamed their tailed beast can't fall under a genjutsu but Naruto fell into one , I don't understand please someone explain or am I wrong

@@cdxfox That's only if one of them is under it and only if they are cooperating fully. That's literally why Obito was able to control Yagura despite him having Three-Tails. Kurama was likely also affected by the bubbles.

@Robert Rodriguez he did and from that point he was adamant abt training her in genjutsu resistance. In the assault of the sand, he mentions he was happy he did so, as she's able to notice it immediately and release the genjustu on others. I'm glad someone else remembered too ^^

Even then, Sakura woke up almost immediately and was back to talking in full conversation. Knowing that she can overcome even Mind Transfer, I feel like even she could resist Itachi's Tsukiyomi for a little bit.

She always been good at getting out of genjutsu because of her chakra but this is the first time it was told she has become resistant to it. Like this just shows her ability have improved

@@Orlando1127 Dojutsu-based genjutsu is MUCH more difficult to get out of, and even then, she quickly recovered and was back to having a full conversation right after.

You also know if Sakura or Hinata asked about who gave him the Scarf earlier, they would have gotten together much quicker

Fun fact, Kishimoto was asked if people still do things like give small gifts like a scarf in a form of symbolism. He responded by saying his wife gave him one once. The whole room went silent.

If you all notice at the start of the movie, Naruto is still depressed despite all his great accomplishments. He's the favorite to be the Hokage, everyone admires and loves him, he saved the world, world peace is now a thing, he's the most powerful Ninja that ever lived, and yet he still goes home to the same lonely apartment every day. That's why when he holds the scarf, he looks as sad as he does. By the end of this movie, he hasn't become the Hokage yet but he finally has the one thing he wanted above all else, a family of his own. That's why he's so grateful to Hinata. That's why he's finally at peace by the end. He no longer goes home to an empty apartment. He goes home to her.

I actually need a reason why Boruto’s a bad character that’s not y’all actually getting offended by him saying what he said to Naruto 🙄 he acknowledged that he was being arrogant and a brat and that kept him from pressing him bout his backstory, Naruto was also part of the problem as well since he ain’t grow up wit a dad but they sorted it out in a good family talk and now they have a great father son relationship.

What irks me is he was supposed to get Byakugan originally but Kishimoto forgot to give him Byakugan before releasing the final chapter of Naruto

well he has some type of ocular thing, but we don't know exactly what it is yet. It was called Jougan or something like that, been a while since I watched the show or read the manga. The only thing that I remember is that he is barely aware that he has it, doesn't know how to activate it or use it and the enemies that saw it were pretty frightened and scared to see it ahaha

Naruto loved Sakura who also developed feelings for him; they actually had growth and development in their relationship but Kishi never went through with putting them together. Sakura was actually there for Naruto more than Hinata and Naruto was always there for Sakura compared to Sasuke. Neither ended up with people they should based off how the writing was in the manga

He actually truly was beginning to think about having Naruto and Sakura end up together, so yeah it was kinda about to NOT be the Endgame pairing lol Even then I agree with the guy above, thanks to Kishimoto's sudden mind change at the start of Shippuden, Sakura and Naruto ended up having suprisingly more moments together than Naruto and Hinata did lol

wouldn’t be the first time Kishi’s personal life directly affected the story IIRC the birth of his son is the reason why he had Naruto meet his parents in the story. Also allegedly he was having father issues around the time of the war so he had Madara cut off Minato’s arms lol.

I really hate the messaging and portrayal of Naruto in this friggen movie🤦‍♀️ the only thing I agree with is he never really like Sakura. I HATE that the entire build up of NaruHina is: Naruot sidnt realise Honata loved him becoz hes stupid and actually he always loved her but he didnt know becoz hes stupid. And the minute he realised she lived him is when he "realised" he loved her🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😒 Naruto may not have much experience... but hes not friggen RETARDED which you'd have to be orphan or not to not know the difference between loving a favourite Food and romantic interest in a PERSON! Naruto is one of the most empathetic people in this universe He has SEEN many variations of love including from his parents and peers! Hes also very intuitive about his OWN feelings theres no way he didn't notice that he felt something specific about a person, which brings me to my next point I HATE that the message of this movie was "He always loved he just didnt realise it" FUCK THAT. its lazy, stupid and WRONG. Naruto didn't live Hinata. Period. He barely liked her more than hes other friends, Infact Hinata, Shino, TenTen and Kankuro are on the same level of friendship. He could love Hinata becoz he barely knew her, he barely spoke to her or interacted with her! He never Thought about her! Heck thier personalities don't mix! Even by shounen standards thats proof that NH is a dead ship! Other shounen have poor build up and practically zero romantic writing, but they still make it clear that the protag cares about and even love waifu or will end up with her very quickly even if they have little to no interaction. Naruto DOESN'T SO TAHT WITH NH!

For me I don’t think Naruto’s love for sakura is rivalry thing. May be at the begin it was but Naruto isn’t a character to love someone just for rival. But he moved on sakura and he falling in love with Hinata. It is okay you can move on and love someone else. And if we look naruto hinata’s conservations naruto always respect hinata so much he wasn’t like even with sakura. So hinata wasn’t his first but she always his last 😌

@MD I agree, I think when he brought in Tsunade and saw how Sakura reacted to Sasuke waking up, there was a very clear shift in his feelings for her. I think he still had an attraction, but I think he compartmentalized it as something that was not meant to change and accepted that. Their relationship remains the same for the most part and matures over the years, and I think that's why he didn't see her later confession as genuine. I think for a while he's understood that at least. I think Naruto couldn't pinpoint why he felt so protective and behaved gentler w Hinata than most people, so while he may not have always been in love with her, I think by the time he was , he was able to understand his behaviors more and Sakura was agreeing and confirming those ideas. Personally, I really loved Sakura in the movie because she was so patient w both of them and she knew both of them so well that she was able to help them both figure it out and I rly like that development for her and Naruto as friends. It was rly grown up of her.

yea that is not what a direct descendent is direct descendent: a person who is in direct line to an ancestor, such as child, grandchild, great-grandchild and on forever. A lineal descendant is distinguished from a "collateral/inderect" descendant, which would be from the line of a brother, sister, aunt or uncle. Hamura went to the moon some of his descendents became the Hyuga, the others became the Otsutsuki in the moon. the branch line within the moon mistook Hamura's teachings and stole the eyes of all the main branch of Moon Otsutsuki to create the tenseigan divise. both the Hyuga and the Moon otsutsuki are directly descended from Hamura. as Hamura had children who formed the Hyuga and Moon Otsutsuki clans. for Toneri for example to be a Collateral/inderect descendent of Hamura would require him to be descended from Hagoromo. but he isn't he is directly descended from Hamura as Hamura is Hinata and Toneri's great great great great great great great great and so on grandfather. just like Naruto, Hinata, Sasuke, tsunade, and all Uzumaki, Hyuga, Uchiha, Senju and Uzumaki all being direct descendents from KAGUYA

Honestly, i don't like sakura but most of the fans did not notice that sasuke was her love but she grown up with naruto and they are best friends.Both in og naruto and shippuden sakura cares about naruto.
