Not exactly a ghostwriter. But Jay electronica helped nas write the untitled album. It's super obvious on the Intro track If you know both rappers because because Nas straight up uses old bars Jay electronica used in the past.
Nas is more lyrical, better stories and wordplay. No disrespect to rakim he helped pave the way for alot of rappers like nas but it doesn't mean hes better.
yeah its a dub over. But when i first heard nas was going to use the juicy record, i immediately assumed that they had the lyrics ready and just went over the urning and revised some lyrics so it shouldent have been different from what they were gonna do.
Good point. I think Illmatic's theme was flawless and it should not have any radio singles. Juicy would have fit nicely on It Was Written since it was more pop but it still kept it's lyrical credibility.
Tony Francis I love Life is Good! But Nas' catalog is to good and it wouldn't be in my top 5. And It was written is really good but I've never heard anything better composed then Illmatic.
Kyle Taylor Untitled Album def in top 5..specially tracks like America, Yall My Niggas, Slave & Master, Black President, Untitled, Queens get the Money, Sly Fox n more from that album
I think it would of definitely messed up the dynamic and taken away substance from the album. But that doesn't mean it would have had to been featured on the LP. It could of been a promo single or something.
Ain't no apparently nothing dude. You must not be familiar with Nas' work. It is not apparent b/c J.Elec (with his sellout ass) is greatly influenced by NAS. Which is why J. Elec was prly called upon by Nas to shoot some ideas / hooks for the album. KNOW-THE-LEDGE (know the knowledge) before you talk.
jay didn't write the track, but he produced the track.Jay was supposed to produce the whole cd "untitled",but it didn't work out that way.Why would you find it hard to believe? that's nas all day.Nothing different from the music he's done in the past.
at this point in Nas career ghostwriters shouldn't even be a topic the nigga proved how deadly his pen was yrs ago and plus cormega been said other dudes would throw Nas a line or two which is not unusual there's a difference better needing ghostwriters and using ghostwriters
So when Jay Electronica and Stic.ma heard about what she said they set the record straight. Nas had originally planned to record the whole album with J Electronica as producer, but it didn't work out, so the only collaboration that made it on the album was Queen Gets The Money. Nas is Jay Electronica's idol as is well known, he was honoured that Nas would even want to work with him. A collaboration between producer and MC is an exchange of ideas, but Jay isn't lyrically on Nas's level.
" Juicy " beat is true , at that time Nas was helping biggie making his album , freestyles In big house , session , Nas was laying the blueprint for him how to work with mentor multiple djs etc . Same way he helped az Les. Big storytelling is all from Nas that's easy man . But after big album dropped , big got too cocky arrogant spit on Nas hand , and acted like they never knew each other! 1. Bited Nas album cover 2. Storytelling from Nas 3. Nas gave juicy beat 4. Nas dissed him in " Iww" multiple times , and big too scared to mention him in " kick in the morning" or either diss or not !!! Ain't no such things as half way crooks ! Big was a commercial phony who would did anything for money
You ain't gon' see me writing this on a gay ass wayne video or all those other puppet mainstream rappers, just the videos with the lyrical rappers with meaning; we have similarities; Jeezy Taylor, LOST Vegas Rapper, just go to my channel and my big head gon' appear lol its not a whole song just samples of my rap with famous instrumentals haha, listen cuz i know you got nothin else to do :} gimmi your feedback then after get back to what you do ;}
jay spits real shit but it gets masked by niggas in paris but for real i dont know how either one of them can keep giving us raw albums 20 years deep especially nas coming out with life is good
I love tha talc on ghoatwriters, but i dnt beleive Nasir used any. Jes a ghostie himself, so i dont see him baccslidin like that. Kurt i love that CRenshaw gear, i gotta get on that.
I find it hard to believe that nas wrote"Queens Get the Money" produced by jay electronica...He's should've been honest becaues NO DOUBT JAY E WROTE THAT TRACK ALSO....Go check it out...
frankie790 hahahahah ya right, good one. That's a rumor that has yet to be proven and i honestly wouldnt even call it a "rumor", its a step below a rumor. good luck trying to prove that sh*t.
even asking nas if someone ghost wrote for him is disrespectful but i can understand cause he nas is still amazing idk if that tech nine thing is true though cause large professor once confirmed that the accusation jay z said on takeover about the showing him his first tech on tour was true who cares though idk who the hell could ever accuse nas of being fake
@JMS13579 please explain how Nas bit Rakim style when Nas is a story teller Rakim ain't have too many u would be better saying he borrowed G Rap style u must not know a lot bout hip hop
i must say that back then you used what was giving to you...no internet or downloading was a lot more fun then now. the digging for records from shop tp shop n shit like that.
i ALWAYS KNOW AND FEEL what albums I will be album to listen to without skippin< and LIFE IS GOOD is no doubt one of those. THANK U NAS for that AUTHENTICITY. ITS RARE THAT U BUY AN ALBUM AND FEEL LIKE U STOLE IT CUS IT WAS WORTH WAY MORE THAN THE COVER PRICE YOU PAID. WELL ARREST ME CUS THATS HOW I FEEL. QUALITY HIP HIP.
