If Officer Rex Engelbert does not receive the highest recognition for his actions that day it would be a travesty. He placed himself in danger, took clear and decisive actions, organized an entry team, began clearing rooms with purpose and continually directed fellow officers to push forward and clear and cover. He located the shooter and took immediate action and neutralized the threat. He used his training effectively. This man deserves the Public Safety Medal of Valor !!!!
"I knew what I had to do.... I kept walking toward the sound of gunfire...." Officer Engelbert saved countless lives that day. May God bless him and keep him safe.
This officer, as well as the two others he was with deserve the highest commendation available. Due to their valor and bravery, many lives were saved. I live in the Nashville area, and we can not say enough words to express our gratitude for what they did last week. They are humble about what they did. Many lives were saved. May all who responded to the Covenant tragedy have the peace and protection of God with them always. 🙏 💙❤️🙏
Just one small problem with these cops: It's all about the shoes, folks: 'Dead suspect' - wearing VANs Old Skool Flameprint sneakers 'Alive suspect' - wearing PUMA dark suede sneakers with large PUMA stripe ................The Nashville Covenant shooting is officially busted.
Loosen the tinfoil ya twit, body cam shows the heel label was vans going in, laces end above the swoop, not below like Pumas and lack of color flame is obscured by murder’s pant leg, and low resolution of body cam - like I said loosen the tinfoil cap ya looney troll
@Grym Reeper yes, I couldn’t help but compare his courage, sense of duty and obedience (when he cited he was told to wait in the back of the car for further instruction after it was over, which he did, despite wanting to stay involved) and slightly aloof reserve during the interview to that of a well-trained K9.
This guy is a regular ol' street cop and hasn't had to speak in front of the WORLD like this. This guy makes me wanna buy him a f*cking beer with his normality lol
“I definitely wish I had also deployed my rifle-caliber rated heavy plates when I found myself at the front of the stack.” Badass. I’m glad we have guys like this.
That young man is a true hero in every sense of the word. Same goes for the other officers with him...and the two school staff who stayed on scene to help. God bless them all also my sincere condolences to all the victims and family members affected 😩
As my Marine Sniper in Iraq, nephew, said there is a lot of responsibility in taking a person's life. I see he does not see this as a great moment in his career.
These Officers are Altruistic, the true definition. I don't have much to say, but I'm proud of the Officers that gunned down Hale. I respect that, we need more officers like them. God Bless, my Condolences the Victims and their Families. 🙏😭❤
@@andresfelipe3081 And they deserve sympathy too, for being cursed with such a disgraceful hellspawn of an offspring. If I were her family, I wouldn't need the sympathy. I'd just be upset that the relief of such a disgusting creature also cost the lives of innocent people.
@@DexWeapons The parents of Audrey Hale are the ones that don't want this information to be released to the public. They are having to move out of their home and the parents are not wanting to pay a lot of money to the families of the victims.
@@slapyoulikeimconnery55 I'm not justifying her actions. I'm for addressing and confronting issues. Clearly these issues they're trying to keep out of the spotlight, which will lead to more of this.. without us knowing how to confront it. She was a monster. I want people like her found and dealt with.
Have the highest respect for them officers no hesitation went right in clearing the school they Saved alot of people prayers go out to the families may God bless them and great work buy the officers that day
Nervous smiling: Am i happy i neitralized the threat and i’m a hero? Am i going to slip and say something dumb on camera? Do i act sad? He’s so nervous Either way A hero Did the job well
Non American voice here (Australian) There is no question in respect to this faultless police officer’s actions. A supremely and eminently, cool headed character who dealt with a catastrophic emergency correctly. There is a monstrous question in respect to the casual access of firearms. There’s the shortsighted: Guns don’t kill people… And there’s the rationale: People with guns do kill people. This is why countries with less casual access to firearms have less people being killed by guns. Pretty extraordinary.
Spot on! Imagine access to guns becoming as easy as US in populous countries like india. Everytime someone is depressed or has mental instability, thousands of ppl will lose their lives.
This is why the Australian government has no issues at all with locking up its citizens at will. I'd rather attend to the issues arising from too much liberty than those arising from too little liberty.
Does Australia have an open border (thanks to current administration ) to Mexico where criminals will always have access to guns? So your solution is to take away guns from law abiding citizens . That along with liberal policies that have castrated police is not good for general public’s welfare.
Fuckin HERO this guy is .... sad that the shooter put him in the position he had to be in but this is how police officers are supposed to act ... not like the cowards in Uvalde , Texas ...
@@RealNyeTheScienceGuy the lack of proof of a god existing is enough proof. surely if there was a god he would make himself known and not rely on a contradictory book
Knowing the kind of crazy people there are today, how they neglect the most important and sacred thing that is security in schools, how can they get in so easily?
1st target bypassed due to armed security. No 3M shatter resistent film on the doors. No action by those with the primary responsibility for security and now this poor guy has to live with that encounter forever.
No. Metal detectors are A: expensive, and B: that “person” shot through the doors and forced an entry. Metal detectors would not have stopped that attack from happening.
NOT 11 minutes! Was 4 minutes from when the first officers arrived until they put the shooter down, AND was less than 3 minutes from when the first group of officers went through the door until they put the shooter down.
It was a drill,....they had plenty of time. Their controllers were waiting to give the all-clear to make sure there were no other occupants in the building so that they could begin the drill.
He is very very young and is days away from this tragedy.....give him your prayers and your patience ...along with respect ...he deserves all that and so much more...he is trying ..but as someone with law enforcement and military in myfamily ..yes ..they all know the risk to their lives and the risk of having to take a life...yes they are trained ..highly trained ..but no one can prepare someone nor is someone prepared for actually doing it ...I am 62 ..give this guy a pat on the back not a judgement
