"Torn" is far from her best song, but I'm happy she has a good attitude about the song that made her an international success. Many other singers can be snooty when it comes to being gracious about what got them to the top.
I know, but they didn't even record the song first. They wrote it and then other artists before Imbruglia recorded it. They may have recorded it eventually before Natalie, but let's be real: it's Natalie's song. She put it on the map and everyone knows her version. Songwriters might write the songs and even record their own versions of their creations, but to the public eye, the songs belong to the singer.
