If the jury were convinced by the film Edward Scissorhands that Depp had scissors for hands then that would explain why they didn't believe the injuries were consistent with being punched by a person with blades for fingers. Would the Jury thinking Depp was actually Edward Scissorhands be good grounds for an appeal?

This is my FAVORITE display of word salad nonsense, AND how it stuns the listener. Soooo many fantastic attempts to explain the nonsense, complete stunned speechlessness, trying to figure out what in the heck she meant, anger, frustration, physical reactions, trying to explain reality and logic to her, appealing to her better logic in absentia, and attempting to listen again for clarification. That's with them having control to stop her from speaking. Imagine living with someone dispensing word salad nonstop because you don't have a pause button to get them to stop. FRUSTRATION requiring multiple mega pints!

The most terrible is that when she said that, she really did think it was a good come back, a gotcha argument, and then you can see on her face in real time the moment she realizes how stupid it really was and that it was absolutely not how it sounded in her head. JD did not "convince" anyone that he had scissors for hands, he was playing a fictionnal character in a movie, none of this was real, and literally no one above the age of 3 thinks it was, none of the jury was "convinced" of anything, if the evidence presented to them, you know, things that were real, not fictionnal, like her injuries. Also, if any member of the jury, or any adult for that matter, was "convinced" that JD somehow really did have scissors for hands, then it means said person would be so heavily mentally challenged that they would never, ever, be allowed for juror duty, or even have a bank account, said person wouldn't even be able to take care of themselves and instead of sitting in a trial, would be sitting in a pool of her own urine in a random specialized healthcare facility. At the end, maybe this sentence reveals much more about the reality of her mental abilities than anything Dr Curry said during the trial.
