@@majstter7420 After the Polish Uprising during Russia's imperial era, Poland and Lithuania were forced to use Cyrillic. It was an attempt to russify these two nations but it failed and they clung to Latin. The Soviet Union didn't attempt to enforce the Cyrillic script. I used one of the versions Russia tried to enforce.
No, and I hope you don't mean it. It's painful to remeber to all Lithuanians. Our lands were taken, everything was taken and our grand grandparents were taken to Siberia into camps and many died on the way there and many died there. If you believe that any country were happy in soviet union or just talk about it as a 'meme' learn the real history.
I just want to point out that if you think ussr was better than any other communist country it isn't true. Only the people who lived under Russian Communism know the truth because what Russia told the world wasn't true (Propaganda) and they kept alot of details hidden. That's why it might look like it had benefits to it but it's just not true, trust me. Ussr took all the lands from my grand grandparents and they escaped to a hidden place to not be deported to Siberian camps. And there are alot of more worse things than you know. And sorry if some of my words are incorrect or doesn't make sense, I'm dislexic and it's hard for me to write, but I support Lithuania and other baltic countries because my relatives had to experience everything. My goal is to open your minds to the mindset of countries that truly suffered. Thank you.
@@vladimirratedr4409 Thats the reality bro, longest partisan war in european history was in baltics after soviet occupation, lasted a whole decade. We were recently free from tzarist Russia, so imagine russians coming again, taking peoples property, crops, land away and forcing them to work in collective farms. People who opposed or just had more property were deported (couple hundred thousand, significant chunk of the population), imprisoned or killed. Thats just the reality these people saw, they were not intrested in communism, we did not need it, it was forced on us. Heavy alchololism started to spread as many just lost their lifes, their way of living under the soviets, that corrupt shitholle wasnt that good. Happily decades later we were the first to seperate from the empire, eventhough soviet tanks crushed 13 unarmed youngsters in 1991 after unsuccessfully trying to overtake our TV tower, it still fell and we are free.
