From a 50 year Plus NZ fan............I have such a Hate/love relationship with the Ireland Team Hate them.........because they beat my beloved All Blacks (and that is because we are installed at Birth that NO-ONE beats our Team when it comes to rugby). Love them.....Because, as Kiwis, We have always have a sweet spot for Ireland, they remind us of us.......simple folk. dedicated, no bullshit and down to earth. If anyone deserves to beat the All Blacks it is Ireland .....their passion is obvious, they have learnt from years of defeat against my team and now they have finally learnt the secret of winning............. And it is a simple recipe. Many teams have lost before they even get on to the field.......they think about the awe, history and record of the mighty all blacks. BUT to win........forget all that, go out, believe in yourselves and always remember................. they are just men and will make mistakes if you play to YOUR strengths. This is why rugby is the best sport in the world! It is based on mutual respect and love for the game first and foremost! The fans of rugby are the best sporting fans in all games we may make fun of eachother in loving ways and critique teams when they need it but theres never violence or ill will toward eachother. Ive been a big fan of the all blacks for their strength, honour and passion for as long as i can remember ❤ all the love back from ireland 🍀🍀

Bundee Aki may have been born in New Zealand, but he's as pure Irish as anyone else is now. He faced the haka like an Irishman, sung "Amhran na bhfiann" and "Ireland's Call" like an Irishman, and played like an Irishman that night.

If I was big and hard enough to play rugby for England, (I'm not) I wouldn't allow the Haka to happen. I don't understand why opponents do. Interrupt it ! Don't allow them that advantage.

I often wonder if people commenting about the haka have ever stood in front of one. I got the chance to in NZ one year and it fired me up just as much as did them.

Its cuz, he sang it once before, and he got all cyked up and exited and then in the first 2 mins of game, he gave away a pen, and the team got 3 points, and the other team ended up wining, and he thought it was him who made them loose cuz of pen, so he has never sang the anthems since
The anthem was sung in Irish Gaelic. Ireland's call is not their anthem, they use it because some players are from Northern Ireland. Their actual anthem is A Soldier's Song when translated to English.

ireland is divided people from a place called ulster or the north of ireland are ruled by brittian and they reject the irish anthem the second song though is for a united ireland because in the 20th century ireland had alot of conflict between protestant from the north and catholics in the south
When in an all Ireland effort like rugby and cricket (includes Republic and Northern Ireland as just "Ireland") we sing Irelands call which combines the divided Catholics and Protestants in an all Ireland effort
