National Arbor Day Foundation Commercial (1986) 

Here in 2023! One of the best commercials during my childhood!

This comemrcial aired up until the early 2000's. I remember it vividly.

I once saw this during a commercial break from Nick Jr. on CBS.

He perches on the branches, lives among the leaves. Friendly Carly Cardinal, talking about trees. Sometimes people take for granted, about the best things ever planted. But they should be enchanted, should appreciate their trees! Trees, trees, Carly's Arbor Day Foundation, spreads the word across the nation about trees! Trees are terrific!

This commercial was on TV for a long time , I remember seeing it every day as a kid watching cartoons in the 90s

I remember watching this commercial during Saturday Mornings Cartoons, and the animated tootsie roll commercial as well. The 80's were awesome!

I remember this commercial from when I was little. I always loved it.

I remember seeing this commercial a fair bit during Disney's One Saturday Morning on ABC when I was a youth. Although it was the shortened version.

45 and still can remember this damn commercial. Can barely remember my checking acct. # tho.

This used to be on One Saturday Morning all the time!

They played this commercial all the way into the late 90s and early 2000s! I remember seeing it all the time on One Saturday Morning and Kids WB.

The "ha-ha" at the end gets me every time.

80's kids got parented by so many mascots. This guy, Woodsy Owl, Smokey the Bear, McGruff, and the red cat who looked like a captain and talked about reading. Then there's "The More You Know", "One to Grow On", and School House rock clips. Yet the government didn't think we had educational TV. Ha!

This came out the year I was born and it played all throughout my childhood (and into my teenagehood). Unfortunately they kept shortening it more and more, the last time I saw it ,they cut it down to the last 10 seconds. Need to make room for all those fast food and car commercials I guess. :(

All I could remember of this was 'trees trees its something something its the arbor day foundation..." Been stuck in my head for over twenty years!

This has got to have a record for a longest running commercial. I was six in '86. I now have a 4 year old niece. She's seen this commercial air on tv.

The voice actor of the cardinal, is the same one who did Shiner, on "Biscuts" cartoon.

Really ? The first time I remember ever seeing this commercial was in 1997 and I was born in 84....how did this slip past me.

@alexandrabarbie1 Yeah I remember this commercial as well and it was played well into the 90s and I was in sixth grade when it came out back in 86.

That bird's singing is slightly off from the music and his voice sounds strained. Clearly, he came to work drunk.
