Interesting fact - this is the first time in forever that the final two teams are not loaded with 4 and 5 star blue chip talent. Michigan only 14th in the nation in Total Team Talent (WAY behind the big boys - Bama, Georgia, Ohio State, etc.) and UW even lower at number 26. Both Texas and Alabama LOADED compared to UW and Michigan. In these crazy chaotic portal era times, coaching matters almost as much as talent does now!

The play got blown up because Michigan's edge rusher literally pushed one of Bama's offensive lineman a good 2 yards off the line into Bama's backfield which literally caused Milroe to trip over his own lineman lol. I think you need to go back and watch that final play again my guy. I have never seen Alabama get dominated that badly on the line of scrimmage ever.

Michigans last 4 teans they faced are top 10 defenses. Thats why the ofrense has not put up 30+. But the first 8 games of the season they put up 30 plus every week. Washigtons defense is mediocre at best. Michigan can easily put up 35+ as long as JJ doesnt have accuracy issues

Pretty much all of you talking heads got the winners wrong for yesterday. I don't listen to many of you-other than a minute or two of the opening BS. If folks really want to learn some real things about playing the game go listen to Sam Webb's Michigan Insider pieces with Al Borges on offense and Vance Bedford on defense. Sam is a Michigan homer who you have to take with a grain of salt but the other two were players/coaches/coordinators who know their stuff inside out, backwards and forwards. Or you can waste an hour listening to some half-baked opinion.

Can the declare for the draft and the portal not be "open" until well after the bowl games are played? I'm wanting some incentive for main players to actually play in their bowl games. Michigan has only played Ohio State, Alabama and Penn State. The schedule it is ridiculously easy.....(apparently a lot of stat padding going on too, in the scandal) Penn State isn't an elite team... Not enough offense. The other two games were really close games.... Michigan hasn't been challenged enough to earn the moniker of the best team in the country..... I think Oregon and Georgia would match up really well to beat them, if they played. Washington is an interesting match up for them.... We'll see what happens

A lot of people talk about UW as though they are some program that nobody has ever heard of; Washington is one of the best football programs of all-time. If there was a historical top 25 ranking for all of CFB you’d see Washington solidly on that list.

Anybody look at Texas' win-loss schedule the last 4 years? They were crappy - and came from a mediocre conference. Alabama was similarly common but for Nick Saban have 4 weeks to scheme.

We've seen this story before. One team gets lucky to even be there from upsetting a bunch of favored teams by barely a hair as an underdog only to get the beating they deserve in the natty game. All of the pre-game prognostication was nothing but post BCS aether. When MIchigan hit 1000 wins that's when they hatergate get turned up to a fever pitch. 10 years of bcs, BS saw the redistribution of recruiting influence and bulldogs influence and bowl dollars to the programs of storied that developed football programs that had winning traditions, that were done the old-fashioned - winning. Oh no, that wasn't good enough for the bcs, which is why the BCS ended up being under the radar of congressional ethics hearings if you recall. Alabama's dominance is purely contemporary, the the Alabama we know didn't exist before the BCS era, that's their taint. Along with pretty much most of the icc, and a few of the Big icc, and a few of sec schools, in a few of Big 12 programs. So the reason why programs that had winning traditions, are so highly incredulous of the SEC and they know it, is because of that nobody has a true deep respect for alabama, Alabama has been the unmerited recipient of BCS era interventionism. It doesn't matter what squad you're from, in the NCAA ranks, there was something foul and it wasn't in Denmark... It was right here on terra firma. Everybody hates michigan, but they hate them for the right reasons Michigan is the winningest program period. But now the shysters at the NCAA have figured out they got a big pile of money they can potentially play with... Of course all centers around advertisers what kind of drawers they can pull in, and what kind of bills they can attach for the TV time to promote the advertisers who paid for the spots, this is pure business so why people are losing their mind about why Florida State got the boot, they got the boot because they we're not sellable in a commercial venue where potentially tens of millions of dollars are on the table. Again, business is business. What I don't like is all the under the table BS going on, no team deserves that even if you deserve it, you don't deserve to project that on to the players who willingly committed for victory so they can potentially raise or should we say elevate their visibility to the NFL which is their goal, most of them. So this is potentially going to bring on innovations for undrafted coming out of the portal, the NIL silliness, ultimately I feel long-term, there needs to be an autonomy of the football program from the academic institutions they are attached to, as long as you have any kind of woke element that can influence football, and the football program is bringing in the beef, and all that fruit juicy nonsense is just siphoning off of it, there's going to be an additional taint on top of legitimate potential $$$ I think there needs to be some type of postseason game for undrafted to showcase their talent... For the NFL consideration, in all of this if you want to extend college football legitimately, it's got to be about the players. The more venues you provide for advertisers, how much they pay is now irrelevant, it's about exposure. That's what advertisers are paying for just keep that in mind. Michigan knuckle down improve why they're the winningest program in NCAA history, they're an academic school that means planning is going to be a big part of what they do, people can whine about so-called cheater gate with the sign calling, the NCAA had to back away from it for one reason, why because they had nothing that tied the potential malfeasance into a direct connection or correlation with Jim Harbaugh directly. So you have to walk away from that so what they did was what I thought was a bit scarless on the behalf of the NCAA was to allow the media to be the bully pulpit, and to an extent that's all had to do - look at social media went lit with the stupidity. It then became a mission for Michigan as a program to silence the naysayers, and put the focus back on the program instead of the politics involved with the postseason, and potential transfer portal fallout implications. Michigan did a stunning job in sticking to the script in neutralizing Jalen Milroe, he got sacked I believe seven times, not six, but times I think. Alabama was neutralized on the ground with even thinking they could successfully try to run the ball consistently, they followed my advice, haha and pushing the line of scrimmage back and closing the pocket to the point where Jalen Melrose could not use his legs, the kid to his credit has a cannon for an arm but it's not is not accurate. Michigan is going to have to tune their pass rush for Pennix... because Washington's receiver corps is good, pretty darn decent.. And if you have a quarterback that is athletic enough and accurate enough to get the ball to his receivers that's going to thin out the secondary. Michigan has proven that they have the ability to attack that and virtually nullify it, but when you were playing at the championship level, you got a double down on planning for the threat and be prepared to utterly neutralize it. Now having said what I said about alabama, Nick Saban is a system of a coach, he's not a raw player coach that developed coaching chops, he is the Bill Belichick of the ncaa, Bill Belichick in the pros is the model of a system in the NFL, you either fit their system or you don't play for their squad it's that simple. Which is why you see player attrition through these programs after committing, they realize that they're not going to really fit what's going on with that particular program. Which now brings to mind Josh McDaniels comment about talent in the nfl, under a program like his, tell it will get you fired - I have to agree with that. It's not about raw talent, it's what you can do with the raw talent when applied to a systemic form of play. This game with Washington and Michigan coming up in the cfp, this is going to be one for the ages, two teams that battle it all one through far more adversity than the other, the other with more natural talent that's been tuned to a specific system that works for them, this is going to be epic! This is a game where you truly get to sit back and go the team that truly wants it will plan for it and then play for it. May the best team win, but M Go go Blue!

No, it's not an all Big-12 National Championship. The Huskies are Pac-12 and will be until the game's final buzzer. Man, a least show some respect for the dying. The Pac-12 has a chance to go out as a national champion and you're trying to take that from the West Coast fans and alumni who have supported this conference for over a hundred years? College football is broke, and in a Bud Light moment, the Big-12 is saying "Here, hold my beer..." while we destroy a great conference. Don't be surprised if next year's TV ratings collapse on the West Coast as Pac-12 fans and alumni tune out as a way of saying we don't like this product.

Washington is pretty much one dimensional, and as good or great as that dimension is, Michigan can apply more pressure on Penix and cover the receivers better than Texas did.
