This video is about my visit to the Naval Aviation Museum located on NAS Pensacola. This is one of the best aviation museums you will find! It's loaded with airplanes and from the early beginnings all the way to current times. You'll find many cool and exciting exhibits to explore and learn from as well. They have something for everyone here and yo spend spend half the day here easily and not see it all. I welcome you to follow along as I give you a general overview of what I seen as I walked around. Hope you enjoy and be sure to put this place on your list if you ever visit the Gulf Coast.

We're having a family reunion in Pensacola this July. Come to find out my wife's mom has family there. So we're going to rent a beach house and watch the blue angels.

I wonder if this was just another thing I missed whilst stationed at Keesler('80)? Wiki says, "The Phase II portion was completed in 1980"

Fantastic vid Adam. If you ever take a trip to the UK, check out the Naval Museum in Portsmouth, home of the Royal Navy. BTW our Red Devils will give your Blue Angels a run for their money LOL.

85 Miles to the East in Dothan Alabama (Ft Rucker) the Army Aviation Museum. 500 miles to the North Via I65 and I 75 is the USAF Museum. Within a week you can get the full picture of military aviation.

Also about 60 miles to the East just outside Eglin AFB is the Air Force Armament Museum. It is also very interesting with a lot of planes and armament on display.

@2:55, the first Naval aircraft to fly across the Atlantic...That plane is on loan from the Smithsonian and the National Museum of Naval Aviation was built around it. I highly doubt the Smithsonian will ever get it back. As for the Blue's themselves, duringthe national tour season, they always come back to Pensacola after each show. They perform a full airshow 'practice' run on every Tues. and Wed. at the NAS Pensacola, which is open to the public for viewing @ 11:30am directly behind the museum. Meet the pilots and their wives (who are selling souvenirs) and get autographs after the practice run. www.navalaviationmuseum.org/now-hear-this/top-10-tips-for-enjoying-blue-angels-practices/ I would suggest paying the fee and watching "The Magic of Flight", narrated by Tom Selleck, playing every other hour at the on-site IMAX Theatre.

Abom Adventures I love the smell of jet fuel in the morning!! 😜 Yeah, a bud o mine lives over on Ferguson Field, Skyhawk Dr. Locals land on the grass beside the runway (saves the tires) and use the pavement for takeoff.😜👍

They usually call them screws not propellers those are on aircraft. I mean there’s official terms and terms people use. And example would be the Huey helicopter it’s real designation is the Iroquois but nobody calls it that. That I have ever met and my father was in Vietnam actually he was on Guam as the EWO on a B52 . Can’t even remember how to spell stratofortress wow so used to spell correct I’m rustier than staubs 😂 get it . Ok enough nerd stuff. Anyway cool video.
