Hi Deren! This is Alex from the video. Thought I'd answer some questions that you and others have had. I really appreciate you doing this video! Not sure why your video/audio is desynced - it worked fine on my end. I'll look into it for future videos. Thanks for the kind words about the RNL! We really believe that the RNL is integral to the future of the sport and could even grow beyond the NNL some day. The sharp reduction in athletes at the World Championship is obviously because we don't want to have too large of a gathering while a pandemic is going on. I believe a certain number of athletes with the highest points will also move on, but I wasn't sure what that number was when I published the video and didn't want to announce an inaccuracy. Back to normal in Season 7 (I hope!). Points-based systems are gaining a lot of traction, and it's something we're well aware of as a league and are going to be using data from the RNL season to see if it's something we could integrate in some divisions for the NNL. (Obviously, spoilers to the end of the video, Elite division will stay one-and-done.) There was a HUGE increase in the % of adults & masters that wanted to finish the course compared to last year, and with Elites out of their division I think this is a very positive change. The skills at Worlds needed some work, but overall I think the people that did it enjoyed it. Chris is big into athletes showing off their skills, and I hope that skills qualifiers give athletes more bang for their buck as well as showing off their, well, skills. We can talk privately about why Pro Series hasn't gotten off the ground. I hope the Pro Tournament will be enough of a "nibble" for the athletes and fans. I left some further comments on Reddit about skills and the coaching certification. You're always welcome to hit me up if you have any questions that I can't comment on publicly :)

Alex! What's up Man! I'm all about The Ninja Life. Anything Ninja Warrior related, I'll talk about/try here on this channel. So you'll probably see more of these for any and all updates. RNL- I remember what is was like when I first started Ninja and I was looking for a place to start or test the waters. So I definitely can see the upside to this division. Point base system - Obviously the UNAA is notorious for this and those that like the point based system will prefer it. However I would caution the NNL with transitioning to that. Personally I know some ninjas that don't like the point system and prefer the 1 and done. Mainly because it mimics the show (some of which are beginner's) But reading more into it, it would seem as the elite division would what the NNL has been doing and then masters and regular NNL ninjas would possibly be moving to the new direction of points/allowed to finish the course style. (at least that what I'm understanding) Skills - if people want it, you should definitely provide. I personally didn't really see much gain from it. But that's probably because I didn't fully understand the rewards as an athlete. Unless we failed I didn't really want to give my all on a skills comp and possibly hurt myself before my run. However I will say that you guys are doing a fantastic job with it all. You will have lots of bumps along the way, but that's what happens when you're trying to pave a new road in unexplored land. Keep up the awesome work. Thanks for watching and taking the time to address some of these concerns. Looking forward to this season 🤙

I wish this was set up to where we could comment as you talk, so the comment could be directed at specific topics. I still love it though. Hearing different perspectives and getting excited about competing together in the future seasons.

You can pause the video and comment as much as you'd like. I make it a point to respond to comments as best I can. But this season truly is a different one. Guess we'll see what happens.

I kind of like the regional ideas and I think it should be incorporated into the regular season. The finals for the past few years have been overwhelming because of the large number of competitors, I think it will seem more like UNX with the best of the best competing. I can see why some people wouldn’t like it tho.

I did not think about how this will be similar to UNX. That's a good point! I like that style of the UNX, but unlike UNX I think NNL is looking for Max participation with competitors. I think they are trying to move into a giant setting. However I would agree with you, it was definitely overwhelming. I think stage 1 is more of the, "let's weed out the best of the best" and stage 2 and 3 would be where the real challenge and entertainment happens.
