I've been so depressed lately, I didn't wash my hair for over a month. I have 3c long hair. All I would do is eco style the heck outta ther front and put it on a bun. Long story short, I spent a whole hour in the shower yesterday detangling my hair..Self care goes out the window when depression comes into one's life.
i totally relate to you. lucky enough i have my mom to help me detangle my hair but when you’re in a depressive episode it’s hard to maintain honestly anything. wishing you the best

I don’t know what’s going on with me anymore … I’ve been so stressed out wit school and life I cry a lot sometimes for no reason and sometimes for multiple random reasons people always ask me if I’m ok and I tell them I’m done cause o don’t know what to say … I haven’t done my hair in a long time I don’t remeber the last time I did it I’ve been brushing it back with water and leaving it in the same bun … mind you my hair is frizzy, damaged, and long as hell and it feels knotted idk what to do anymore …
True facts‼ I always conversate with myself because, no knows me better than me . Stay positive, get dress even if your not going anywhere. Do your makeup or just put on some lipstick 👑👑 to give yourself a boost.
Thanks mujeres!!! I personally just braid up my hair I'm letting it grow out and I know if I don't keep it braided I'll keep cutting it like I have in the past.
I have a question. When you take a shower does the moisture from the water give your hair that moisture you need then all you have to do is apply a sealant?
Hey Octavia! It depends how hot and steamy your shower is. Sometimes we do allow the steam to provide moisture but our shower ventilates a lot so the steam isnt enough for decent results in our house! However if you dont have the energy to go all out this is a great idea to give a bit of moisture and add a sealant. it would be extra helpful to wet your hair slghtly and then egt in the shower so that its easier for the steam to penetrate. hope this helps 💕
Lady Crystal try Deep conditioning (add organic oils to the conditioner )every 1- 2 weeks with heat . Deep conditioning literally transformed my hair. Find a good hair care line that will strengthen and moisturize your hair . Shea moisture intensive hydration line is great. Also trim split ends help too.
