I was just about to buy that Dove scrub. I’m so glad I didn’t because I usually use the Tea Tree and I like the granules in that. But to buy Dove and you can’t even feel the granules so you know it ain’t exfoliating nothing. Thanks Rae💜
It's a hard hold, so be careful. You should be able to get a full week out of your wash and go with it. Let me know your thoughts after you try it. Thanks for tuning in.
I'm with you on the Tree Hut scrubs. They smell so good and the texture is spot on! I'll have to try that Olay Body Wash. We're getting through these products, aren't we! Happy New Year!
Hi Rae. Loving your channel. I enjoy the reviews that come from a ‘mature’ person like me :). Wanted to let you know that although I was NOT. a fan of the flora and curl shampoo and conditioner, I LOVE their curl activator, leave in and gel! It’s actually some of the best I’ve used (in the colder months!). Just an FYI!
Thank you and thanks for sharing your experience with Flora & Curls. After not caring for their shampoo and conditioner and then having a bad experience with one of their employees, I just said "no, not for me." I appreciate you tuning in sharing feedback.
Hi Rae, my hair didn’t like Flora &Curl either. I brought it early last year, only used it once and my husband finish off shampoo/leave in as favor for me. LOL.. As you pointed out no slip, what so ever. I still had bottle of rinse out and just begin using it for DIY Henna Gloss few months back.
For the Dove body scrubs, they have a rating system as to how course the granules are per jar. The mango one is a 2, you might like the brown sugar and coconut butter one better. It's ranked as a 3.
I love Sensodyne. I started using that more so in the last year. Thinking it’s definitely going to be my toothpaste of choice moving forward. It’s a different level of clean for sure and I love the ones that also include the gums. It’s funny how the things that excite you change as you age. Lol. I love both Tree Hut and Dove. I don’t use either as a last step, but they definitely get chosen for different levels of exfoliation on different days. I enjoyed the lifestyle shares. :)
Yeah, I don't use the scrubs as a last step either, that's why I said, when you go to wash, I don't need those little granules under my nails scraping up sensitive areas. 😬😳😂. Anywho, you are right, age can definitely change your way of thinking about things. Thanks for tuning in.
I have some of that Dove scrub that I have not used yet! I'll have to see if I like it! I have emptied the Nourishing Co-wash from Design Essentials. I love it! It is more of a moisturizing co-wash.
I like Kushae Feminine Wash (blk own, created by a blk female obgyn). Great for those who are sensitive as well. Olay has a skin firming body wash too.
I couldn't believe that I found the hold it styling gel 8oz at Marshalls for $6.99!!!!! And I made sure to check the expiration date and it was 11/2022. They also had some other products by alikay naturals for amazing prices, I was really shocked.
How do you use up your products so fast? In my house it's only me and I'm having a hard time getting through my beauty supply store(that's what I call my stash). I think in 2022 instead of remoisturizing mid week I'm going to co wash and maybe that will help.
I do my hair twice a week when I wear wash and go's, so that helps me use product. I rarely remoisturize my hair unless I am wearing a twist out. Thanks for tuning in.
I like ancient cosmetics. I take there bath bomb and crush them in a baggie. A scoop goes a long way. I love the blueberry peppermint set.. I like the oils, I bought a few scrubs, but it’s better to buy oils and mix with sugar, I also use the oils in shower, I add some to the butters to soften them up.. prices are great, but the scent don’t last at all..
That's a great idea...to crush the bath bombs to make them last longer; never thought of that. Someone else said that they really like their oils, as well. Maybe I'll circle back around and try some of their bath oils. Thanks for tuning in.
Thank you for this idea! I don't take baths, but was gifted a few bath bombs from Lush for Christmas. I'll crush them and use that for my foot soaks. Thanks again!
