I make plantain salve now, but when I had a bad infection on my toe from scratching it on something in the chicken pen. It was starting to streak and it was before I started making salve, so I chewed a leaf, taped it to my toe and went to bed. The infection was pulled out, the streak was gone. I did it again that morning and by bedtime there wasn’t any infection left. The salve, I use for bug bites, diaper rash, any cuts, scrapes or sores. I have friends and family who ask for a jar, so I made extra last time. I love this series, thank you for sharing people’s stories. Shalom ❤

@@Delladaisy dry the plantain, put in a pint jar about 3/4 full and add sweet almond oil to half full, top off with castor oil. I let it work 2-3 months. Sometimes I strain it, add more dried plantain and let set another month or 2. Strain with clean cotton cloth in a strainer and squeeze out all the oil you can. I add 1/2-1 ounce approximately of tea tree oil and a few droppers full of vitamin E. I heat over very low temperature and add enough beeswax to make it set. You can use a spoon and see how it cools and if you want to use more beeswax or not. I’m sure there are other ways, this is how I do it. Hope that helps.

Heidi, it is great to hear these testimonies for people. We had jewel weed in Wisconsin, and did not know what it was until I sent it to someone I knew who knew a lot about wild herbs. About a year ago we bought a small overgrown property across the road. After years of neglect, poison ivy absolutely thrives over there, so there must be some jewel weed, too, but I haven’t been able to find it. I discovered Jewel weed last year (I have always known it as “touch me not” and had a good time showing the grandkids how the seeds explode). I was very pleased to find out that it is great for poison ivy and stinging nettles. I made a spray by infusing jewel weed in witch hazel for about a month, straining it and putting it a spray bottle so I can have it available year round.

It is very encouraging to hear these testimonials. My husband and I have had enough success with natural treatments over the years to have complete confidence in the validity of these stories. An FYI tip that I just found is that some ethnic markets may carry dried herbs that may be medicinal. There is an ethnic produce market in south Everett (Washington) that has fabulous produce and a huge variety of frozen meats and other groceries. I went there to find Star Anise in their dried foods section. This section has really expanded to include dried legumes, spices, cookies, tea, etc. from all around the world. In one display, I saw they have mullein tea! So, if one is trying to source an herbal remedy in their local, try looking in your local ethnic market! Imran's Market has changed hands a couple of times since 2018. During the pandemic lock downs, I found that they had an ample supply of baker's yeast in the 1 pound bricks when no other grocery could get any. This is an idea of another source to consider when trying to locate products that you can't find in your normal supply chain. Thanks Everyone!

I discovered Melissa essential oil years ago for my fever blisters. It is a very hot oil, but I use it neat at the very first tingle that is telling me I'm about to get a fever blister. Not only does it stop the eruption immediately, but I've found oddly enough that it prevents them from ever coming back in that same spot! I still keep it on hand, just in case, but I haven't had any for years now; after previously dealing with them all the time at even the slightest bit of stress!

A couple of drops inside eyes and on the lids nightly of hexane free fresh press Virgin Castor Oil will improve vision. If you wonder if it’s safe some eye surgeon’s apply it to eyes post surgically to prevent inflammation. It is also antimicrobial. It also is an ingredient in lash lengthening oils. It grows hair by opening the oil blockages in follicles.

I made a recipe that was shared for allergies and sinus. Its one part Goldenrod, one part Alfalfa, one part Stinging nettle. I made capsules double 00. I took 2 pills several times and i said out loud well this stuff isn't working. Immediately i heard in my head "Double it" so i took 4 capsules and it is working great. So remember it can be great but the wrong dosage may not work.

I am the person who submitted this testimony. I use microingredients black seed oil from Amazon. I would bet my phone auto corrected to micronutrients. I have been on the softgels for quite a while now. Still get regular blood work and still in the low normal range. I have noticed that, if I'm having a stressful week, I get run down and I bump up to 2 softgels per day until I feel better again. I hope it works as well for you as it has for me!

Maybe someone here can offer suggestions. I know no one here is a doctor, but probably have more knowledge than I do. I have neuropathy, hypothyroidism, gall bladder removal, prediabetic, hysterectomy, and am overweight. I don’t eat junk food. The main issue I have is gut issues. Every time after I eat, I start feeling bad. Nausea, sometimes achy, fatigue. I usually have to lay down to ride it out because I feel so bad. I am just hoping that someone can give me advice on where to start researching, or something that helped them. Mainstream medicine is not helping me. I hope this is allowed.

I cut out gluten and watched what other foods seemed to affect me. Just wanted to curl up in the fetal position after eating two or three meals. I started by cutting gluten, dairy, coffee, bananas, and nuts. After a couple years I started adding those things back and I can now tolerate all but the gluten. I had been to three ENT's, my regular doctor, an allergist and a neurologist and had been diagnosed with migraines (didn't really have headaches until I started the medication prescribed) and depression. I even had a sinuplasty, one of the first in my area. I do pretty well as long as I stay off the gluten and eat well.

You can do your own search on each. I'm 72 and aged 5 or more yrs after long covid. Lost so much muscle mass. In trying to use barbells and walking 30 minutes with weighted vest. But the barbells pull my shoulders and neck so bad l get very sore. And they are 2 and 4# weights. I keep getting back at it when soreness is gone
