My dad grew up on a small island. He was told that fruits like limes and Lemons plus eating raw garlic almost everyday would keep his mouth and immune system healthy. Grown up eating raw limes and lemons and garlic and have had no cavities. I’ll be 30 next year. When I feel getting sick or having allergies I grab my limes and lemons and raw garlic and eat it up.
Nice. 😃I just got a lemon tree few days ago. I use good Olive oil to brush my teeth. It's way more gentle . But works right away. To remove plaque and tartar. 😁✨ your welcome.
1:12 Why is vitamin C so important? If you don't have enough vitamin C, you cannot make collagen. Vitamin C is essential to make collagen. 1:50 A big indicator to know you're vitamin C deficient is when you get bleeding gums. Anything like gingivitis or a periodontal disease is usually related in some way to a vitamin C deficiency. 2:05 Sugar feeds the bacteria that develop acids that cause cavities, inflamed gum tissue and plaquing and tartar. 2:20 What is tartar? Tartar is biofilms which is colonies of microbes that have band together and they develop these calcium shelters to hide from your immune system. 3:24 Without vitamin C you get really bad breath because of overgrowth of bacteria. Vitamin C suppresses pathogens including viruses, bacteria, yeast, fungus, mold and of course biofilms. 3:40 Vitamin C does the following: • Acts an an antihistamine • Makes active folate • Helps converting cholesterol into bile salts • Helps converting tryptophan into serotonin • Helps converting dopamine into epinephrine • Helps making adrenal hormone steroids like cortisol • Fights off infections • Decreases the duration of infection • Increases your resistance to infection 5:00 The ships develop these things called barnacles (collection of organisms) underneath them which makes them heavier and more resistant to friction hence needing more fuel to travel. They tried so many things to get rid these barnacles/biofilms. In 1990 this sailor had this brilliant idea when he was eating a sandwich that had red hot chili peppers. He wondered if chili peppers would kill off these barnacles. He found out that indeed they effectively kill off these microorganisms, so he developed a type of paint using chili peppers and it worked great. 6:21 Chili Peppers not only have certain active compounds that kill biofilms, but they're also very very high in vitamin C. 6:31 A byproduct of vitamin C is hydrogen peroxide which is another anti-biofilm chemical. In fact, your body makes hydrogen peroxide to protect against too many biofilms. 6:50 The top remedy for tartar: • Baking Soda: 1/4 teaspoon • Water: 1/2 cup • 3% Hydrogen Peroxide: 1/4 teaspoon • Non-GMO Ascorbic Acid: 1/4 teaspoon 7:42 Mix them all together and brush your teeth with it once a day a pit out the material. You're going to have one of the most powerful anti-biofilm compounds around. You can also add mints, peppermints, clove as a great essential oil. 8:10 The best foods for healthy teeth and gums: • Peppers: red, hot, mild, green • Green vegetables • Limes and lemons • Sauerkraut Thank you Dr. Berg Sincerely, 11 : 11 Meditation Portal Channel
I just had to come back to this video to let everyone know that I mixed up the solution and I have been swishing with it for about a week. Every now and then I brush with it, but for the most part, I just swish. Before I started, the plaque behind my bottom teeth was very thick. But I’ve noticed since I’ve been swishing I don’t feel it so much with my tongue. So I got a mirror and took a look - and it is almost all gone! This information has saved me from my next dental visit being a disaster. Thanks so much Dr. Berg! We can always rely on you for good information.💝
My dental appointment had been bad because of my plaques. After I swished with this solution two weeks before my last dental appointment, the report is so much better! So I know this solution works! Thanks to Dr Berg !
My grandmother lived to be 103. She brushed her teeth with salt and baking soda her whole life. She also had a little glass of orange juice every morning with her breakfast. Thank you for these videos. You are helping the world to health! Good job!!
My Grandmmother mixed baking soda with a glass of water for indigestion, she drank gallons and gallons of the stuff and lived until she was 96, I miss my old Gran, she was an awesome lady such a strong person, outlived Pop by 30 odd years, they owned a tobacco farm in Golden Bay near Motueka NZ

Dentist here. Biofilms that form on teeth are not only natural and normal but play a key role in maintaining oral health, preventing decay, and periodontal problems. The goal is not to just remove bacteria out of your mouth (i.e. antiseptic mouthwashes can cause acute rises in blood pressure as the bacteria in the mouth produce nitric oxide, a vasodilator, vital for vascular health), rather to have an appropriate oral microbiota balance, which is disrupted by things like high carb/sugar diets and mouth breathing.
The biofilm has two layers. First is ,, good boy ,, protective one , second is ,, bad boy ,, harmful but until moment dentist is not messing with harsh cleaning, first layer of biofilm is protecting teeth.
A retired dentist here: you forgot another function of plaque in the mouth: ensure a high income to dentists. An arrow in the head was also quite normal for people a couple thousand years ago. For the rest of the community: eliminate added sugars and consequently oral and coronary and brain plaque.
I’m confused. Should I not be getting my teeth cleaned every 6 months? Is the plaque good for me? I am keto OMAD but I still get significant plaque behind my lower front four teeth. I find oil pulling with coconut oil helps, but I still get my teeth cleaned regularly. Is this bad for my teeth? No fluoride treatment, just clean and polish. And no x-rays.

My dentist, who teaches at Georgetown U. told me two years ago to mix hydrogen peroxide and baking soda and brush twice a week. My teeth are nice and white and he said my gums look amazing. I am 65.
I asked many of my dentists, what is causing this tartar buildup, and they always suddenly stopped talking or said something like drinking too much coffee could be causing it. Thanks for digging further ito this subject. It is not only extremely interesting, but also has practical value. Thanks Doc!
Tartar build up is dental plaque that has hardened on the teeth and can not be brushed off- it has to be scraped off (usually by hygienist). Dental plaque is a sticky film that forms on the teeth, which is made of bacteria mixed in with saliva and acid (bacteria produces acid when we eat starchy food) and some minerals found in our saliva. Everyone gets tartar buildup, but some get more than others depending on their home care such as how well you’re brushing and flossing. And also depends on the content of your saliva because some people have more minerals than others which causes the plaque to harden more. Hope this helps
I began having terrible tartar buildup while taking a new calcium supplement. I had never had such a problem before. I quit taking the supplement and replaced it with dietary sources and I added K2 to my diet (to improve calcium absorption) and the tartar has stopped. My hygienist even commented about it.
@Sherine abboud interesting. I was diagnosed with hypoparathyroidism 4 years ago (result of damage from thyroid surgery.) I take meds for it but find my calcium levels are regularly unbalanced. I've also noticed that sometimes I get deposits between my teeth rapidly, even if I'm flossing daily. So it sounds like it's tartar caused by (excess) serum calcium levels. I also have developed tinnitus and I put it to the ENT specialist it's probably connected to calcium deposits in the inner ear. He said he was going to research it as wasn't aware of the crystal composition! I'm having an MRI this week so he can see what's going on in the inner ear as referred for vertigo.
I sooooo appreciate the fact that you are still a doctor that informs and aren't a pharmaceutical salesman! I'd buy from you just because you are so informative. I do prefer natural remedies
He just pushes selling his own solutions though so it's not much different. You don't need to be buying his supplements if you are eating like he says to.
My grandfather never had a flu or cold in his life. I noticed it and asked him why. He told me he had lemon juice every morning. Also, when he later was in a nursing home, he and another resident refused the flu shot and were the only two who did not get the flu, and 12 vaxed residents not only got the flu shot but died from that flu. After my grandfather's death, I wondered if orhers had a family member who never had a flu or cold in their lives.
@shonnamay8331 he went Home before Covid in 20/21. The jabs were flu shots only. It was a bad flu season that year. However, in your context, you are sadly right!

If anyone wondering, Red Bell pepper has the highest amount of Vitamin C. (Twice as much as Capsicum). You can even tell by taste! Yellow and Orange come second in nutrients. Then comes the ordinary Capsicum, that's often the cheapest, but with the highest shelf life. Initially, all are green but they change color on ripening depending on time of harvest.
CAVEAT: Peppers are a "Nightshade" so should be avoided by those with autoimmune conditions!!......Alkaloids, and specifically glyco-alkaloids, are the culprit.
A helpful hint for "liquid toothpaste". I made my batch in a small widemouth jar where I can easily dip out a large rounded tablespoon of it. I then only dip my toothbrush into the tablespoon of solution and when I'm finished brushing, I use the rest that remains in the tablespoon to swish with.
Great! How have been the results? I tried making a small batch but then saw bubbles in it...eventually realised it's hydrogen peroxide releasing oxygen (degrading itself into water & oxygen )when kept in water solution for longer hours!
It seems like I'm the only one confused I've watched this video along with the other three that he recommended and I still don't see how you are adding a teaspoon of absorbent acid? If you don't mind me asking what are you using?

It was simple for me. I had so many dental issues in my 30's, 40's and 50's. Started keto and cut out carbs and sugar in my late 60's and the next time I visited my dentist for a cleaning there was almost no tartar and no sign of cavities. The last 5 cleanings have been the same. So when I was eating carbs and sugars, it didn't matter how often I flossed and brushed, I still had plaque buildup and cavities. Now it's gone done. Wish I'd known this 40 years ago.
I’m fed up since I was 15 I was told I have gum disease . I’m very diligent with cleaning . Flossing isn’t big over here , but I have being doing this for several years now. I spend the longest in the household cleaning my teeth yet I still have issues . I don’t get inflamed painful gums anymore . It’s just every time I visit the dentist she says it’s much better but book in in another 3 months . It’s just upsetting. She’s told me it’s most likely genetic since I’m doing everything she has told me and gargling a with a mouth wash for the gums (Corsodyl) Meanwhile my husband has discoloured teeth doesn’t spend so much time cleaning nor does he floss. He has a poor diet compared to me yet he has no teeth or gum issues ? So any ideas if I can do anything or is that it for me this is my life . Dentist visit every 3 months . I’m currently fasting the month, but outside of it 6 days a week I’m on keto
I really appreciate you providing this information. When I was a heavy drinker, I neglected a lot of aspects of personal health and hygeine, including taking care of my teeth. I developed many cavities along with tartar and plaque build up. I started brushing, flossing, mouthwash, and use of xylitol gum consistently. Within a few weeks, my dental health improved massivley. However, I still have some cavities, tartar, and plaque. I will be trying some of these remedies. Thank you!

@@defeqel6537 Yes, I was thinking the same about the enamel. When I was younger I eat a lot of acidic things and I did lose some enamel. Nevertheless, this is a good idea to kill bad breath.
I started putting some (vitamin c) I bought in bulk, in my daily bone broth & collagen. I said my teeth feel better but it’s hard to explain what I mean. Yes & my breath is better. Side note: I took my hair down (out of cornrows) after 2 1/2 weeks. I barely shedded any hair. Your hair can be an indicator of what’s going on in the body.
I had a lot of tartar build up along with gum diseases for several years. I never visited dentist in those years because I had been bombarded with negative views of dentists by my family that they’ll destroy the enamel of the teeth. The first time I went to the dentist was when I was 31, that was one of the best decisions I made. Right after the deep cleaning, my gums bleeding stopped. I have been up keeping my regular appointments and taking care of my teeth well by brushing and flossing every night
Dental hygienist here... plaque is the white film that you can scrape off your teeth with your fingernail. If this soft plaque is allowed to remain on your teeth, it can begin to calcify forming tartar, also known as calculus. Plaque and tartar are two different things, however both harbor bacteria and can cause inflammation (red/inflamed/bleeding gums) Plaque and tartar can accumulate above the gumline or below the gumline and in between teeth. This is why flossing in between teeth and UNDER the gumline is important. (So many patients don't know you can do this until I show them proper flossing technique) You can remove plaque at home but you cant remove tartar at home, and requires a hygienist to "scale" your teeth to remove the mineralized deposits. This is done at routine cleanings. To reduce inflammation of gums (gingivitis) you don't have to oil pull (gross) or brush with this or that. You can simply brush with a wet toothbrush using a PROPER brushing technique (bristles at 45° angle to gumline) to remove plaque from the gumline. Get regular cleanings and establish good habits at home. I will say, I have patients that do all the things and still accumulate tartar. Some faster than others.
I am always sharing your videos with my family and friends. You are my go-to for health information. Thank you for such well researched and reliable information. Love you Dr. Berg!
I was privileged that my parents raised my siblings and I on the orchard with so many different fruits, vegetables, and animals like chickens, goats, and cows for raw milk and we just grazed on the orchard for the majority of our childhood. Looking back, I realize now how lucky we had been that my parents had given us the greatest gift of wholesome healthy life that came with endless adventures and organic experience as a child. My mom told me that I had no health or dental issue whatsoever but after we immigrated here, living on not so healthy lifestyle and food, I started having minor sickness, like cold and cavities. Growing up on the orchard organically had taught me where true healthy mind, body and value of hard work come from. No medicine can fix what nature cannot, there's always backfiring with modern medicine especially barbaric conventional practice of cutting off 'inflamed/infected' organs. We aren't lucky enough to be on the organic orchard as we had in the past but we do make sure to have plenty sunshine every day and vit C rich food and supplement if not accessible.
Great brushing formula. We were taught in nutrition class that refined sugar and vit C having the same base compound will fight each other to get into a cell and sugar always wins. Refined sugar is always bad. I get a lot of calcium build up on the back of my bottom teeth from saliva. Thank you for the info!
Wow Doc. Back to back home runs! Peppers are a MAJOR anti inflammatory, and packed with vitamin C. One pepper in particular, cayenne, is great for opening up nasal passages, and airways. It also has some great anti microbial properties of it's own. Thanks again Doc!
My teeth were literally rotting from the inside out. Several teeth simply fell apart while eating. I did some digging and read that long term studies found fluoride not only doesn't prevent tooth decay, but causes caries (along with other diseases like depression and Alzheimer's etc) with long term exposure. Apparently, you can't filter it out of your drinking water, but I stopped using tooth paste and started brushing my teeth with plain baking soda several years ago and so far haven't lost any more teeth. I just turned 60.
I bought a bag of sauerkraut a few days ago, I’m trying to get into the habit of eating it frequently. Because the dental clinics told me I have moderate bone loss and I’m doing all I can to STOP it once and for all.

Hi, everyone. Just returned from the dentist who said I needed a scaling because my gums are inflamed. I brush twice daily and even applied baking soda. The dentist also claimed I had a high buildup of tartar. Perhaps I should increase my vitamin C because I don’t get enough of it. Yet something seems odd because if I am brushing and using baking soda regularly, then I shouldn’t be dealing with these issues. Would greatly appreciate the feedback, because I’m tired of having to make my dentist and her staff rich. Thank you.
I'm 47 years old now go to the dentist every other year. Still never had a tooth ache or a cavity, or any dental work. They barely need to do any dental teeth cleaning, I'm just genetically lucky on this one.
My Grandmother brushed her teeth with baking soda her entire life. She used to smile for me & say "look, pretty white teeth & I've never had any cavities". Couldn't argue with that!😂
I've been making my own toothpaste for 10 years now and my teeth are amazing.. got my dentist looking into it herself.. I use a 1:1 ratio, 1 cup baking soda, 1 cup pink Himalayan salt, mix distilled water until paste, then add 10 drops of peppermint or any essential oil... AVOID FLUORIDE LIKE THE PLAGUE... that's a whole different rabbit hole
Yes for 30 yrs been using baking soda to brush my teeth also make up solution of salt and baking soda for mouth wash, now 67 teeth are same as a 25yr old according to hygienist. Also never had a root canal cause I had a tooth ache about 15yrs ago and just gargled with high salt/baking soda every 30 minutes after 2 days all pain gone, no problems since. Tooth paste is full of sweeteners which bacteria love, also causes morning breath, only use a dab in morning to brush teeth, then rinse with solution. Never too late to improve oral hygiene.
Bleeding gums is also a sign of diabetes. My dentist has correctly told several people they might be diabetic because they had bleeding gums with no visible problems with oral hygene. Turns out he was correct each time he suspected diabetes.

Best home made mouth wash: Add 2 tablespoons of black seeds and 2 tablespoons of whole cloves to 800 ml of water in a pot. Boil it covered for 5-10 minutes, no more than that. Keep it covered till it cools to prevent evaporation. Strain it, then add 150 ml of apple cider vinegar then add water till it reaches 1 liter. Trust me, this is the best mouth wash I have ever used. Hey there! Thank you for the video, Dr. Berg! I have a question on a similar topic. Could you make a detailed video on tonsils and how to cure (if it's possible) chronic tonsillitis. My guess is one should be on keto, include raw garlic daily and most importantly do prolonged fasting every month, because autophagy must be the key. Anyway, any advice from a professional like you is highly appreciated. Cheers from a sane part of Russia!
I had severe tonsillitis a few years back. I took some clean fresh ginger, chewed and swallowed it even though it was very painful and burned. I felt so much better in just a couple of hours. The next day my tonsils went back to their normal size.
I would start with using your index finger to "express" and massage your tonsils frequently. Really get in there and dig around the back of your mouth with your fingers, use Listerine and/or salt and baking soda, and clear out all the gunk and debris. Keep them clean, and gargle with warm saline (salt and baking soda) several times a day.
The scary thing about listening to Dr. Berg is that I'd listen to him over any Dr./Specialist; if I had a serious ailment, he'd be my 1st, 2nd & 3rd opinion!!!
Thank you so much for this video, this helped so much. Every time my mom is cutting onions or anything that includes vitamin C I grab a fingerful and eat it. Thanks again Eric!
Thanks for this updated video! I can fully attest to this. 3 months ago my teeth and gums were bleeding sore... multiple teeth lossening... no brushing or mouthwash por ANYTHING I was doing helped. Then I came across your video on teeth and cod liver oil and also vitamin C (several videos I think) and started implementing it. It took about moth to come around completely... but in the first 2 weeks progress was noticeable and encouraging! I REALLY did not want to go back to my poisener... I mean dentist... and get more mercury and fluoride. I knew toxins in my mouth wasn't the "cure". So long story short, about a month ago one molar that had been loose for almost a year came out... Sounds bad I know... it was... but... It was the one that was HALF mercury fillings. That was the last straw, after that my mouth has been in excellent health! Gums are tight, no loose teeth, no sore or bleeding gums. So, I implemented cod liver oil for omega 3's and the like... but most importantly, I went from taking 6 -10 1000 mg ascorbic acid a day (which became less and less effective over time) and started making the lemon blueberry juice mix (whole lemon and blueberries in water blended (yes peel on)) as well as eating more salads (ESPECIALLY with raw peppers, eating more raw sauerkraut and kimchi etc etc. Basically balanced the Vitamin C in my system back out. With all the food and health changes I do still take a few ascorbic a day... but only 4 at 500 mg. I know a little long winded, but restoring health properly is a journey... this is a small chapter in mine. :) THANKS SO MUCH DR BERG! Your information truly saved my teeth and health!
@@abdulqureshi5851 both powdered and tablet.... update today, have not used ANY ascorbic supplementation for 2 months now... no side effects... gums and teeth still good.
I brush with coconut oil and activated charcoal with a pinch of baking soda. My teeth feel super slick and clean like I just had a dental cleaning. I also rinse with full strength hydrogen peroxide. No more plaque or bad breath 💗
Another fruit that packs in more vitamin C than an orange is pineapple. Having pineapple in any form can help boost your daily required amount of vitamin C. One cup of chopped pineapple pieces contains about 79 mg of vitamin C.
I'm glad you made this video. Knowing that vitamin c turns into hydrogen peroxide on some level is very interesting. I have been using and recommending a few drops of H2O2 in the mouth while using baking soda toothpaste in order to keep plaque to a minimum and fresh and breath. In general it promotes great oral health. Some people may feel a sensitivity to it at first like me and I did it just 3 days a week to start. Now it's a daily and I haven't needed to see a dentist for a cleaning in just about a decade. Even my GF who was a dental hygienist was shocked at how little calc I had when she looked. If you stop to think about it, tooth whitening products have a combination usually of baking soda and peroxide and gel form. However, mixed with your toothpaste it will also gets between your teeth and benefits your tongue, gums and cheeks killing bacteria and other germs.
They taught us in schools back in the 80s that vitamin C was critical to gum health and deprivation of it caused scurvy. Are you sure you went to school AND paid attention?
@@Beef_it_to_be_fit Don't be silly..They didn't teach us as much as Dr Berg has done back in my time - in the early 00's...I had no idea Vitamin C had more roles to play in the body, not just prevent scruvy..I'm sure that everyone who went to School was taught about scruvy at some point.
@@robinpresleywoodward They taught us in history class that between the 16th and 18th century sailors died due to a pandemic of scruvy due to them not having enough fresh food supplies. And, the pandemic only subsided once they started eating Vitamin C rich foods...I must admit my wording in my first post wasn't the best, made you's think nobody spoke about Vitamin C in my school. I will change my original post slightly.
One thing I found to be excellent against plaque is CLAY toothpaste. It removes plaque but keeps the "good" biofilm on your teeth and greatly reduces tooth sensitivity. Just my 2 cents.
@@abdulqureshi5851 I'll be honest I don't know of specific sub-types of clay that may be used. I can tell you that the toothpaste I use is called "Gennadent Forte"; I've had great results with it and my teeth feel much stronger now (no more sensitivity issues for me). Edit: ...and yes, it really removes plaque! After 2-3 days of usage I've had obvious improvements.
Instead using all these useless alternatives. I would recommend to put dilute amount of H2SO4 in the Doctors already given Formula. I bet you would get a clean white teeth within a week. You won't even believe how awesome your teeth looks after 2 weeks.
I do oil pulling with coconut oil, or sometimes just plain olive oil. My gums stop bleeding within a week, and when I stop the oil pulling my gums stay good for a few months after. They bleed heavily when I don't do it and nothing ever fixed the issue, but it's amazing how efficiently the oil heals them!!!
Hi, feel free to oil pull but the most important thing is to brush twice a day for two minutes and floss nightly. If you are doing this and using the correct technique, oil pulling is unnecessary, sincerely a dentist.
Me too - I had a thick, stubborn bit of plaque that always filled a small gap in my bottom two central incisors until the dentist scraped it out each time where upon it would build up again immediately - after a couple of weeks oil pulling the plaque started to crumble and came out on it's own and has never come back. Thanks for your remedy Dr Berg but a teaspoon of coconut oil is much easier for me. 🙂
@@MJforever5690 if you pull pull you don't have to floss. Oil Pulling works on your lymph system & pulls funk from your teeth. Spit in toilet then rinse with warm sea salt water then non flouride & cinnamon chewing stick... Or brush with plastic toothbrush.
Came back to say I’m loving this recipe. I’ve grown completely intolerant to mint. I’ve made my own but never with a ascorbic acid. I used a couple drops of clove. Perfectly refreshing and cuts right through the coffee mouth too. Gargling is also a great practice to thin & drain sinus secretions
we use hydrogen peroxide for wounds and its heal so quick but its so painful on the wounds and make bubbles .. I think it can burn the mouth if u use it in the mouth.
There are times I think we still live in the Dark Ages of medicine. Plaque doesn't require "scraping off" if it doesn't form in the first place; and brushing/flossing doesn't have much effect on plaque. I had an epiphany years ago that the key to eliminating plaque was to reduce the growth of bacteria which is absolutely necessary for it to form. We began rinsing our mouths thoroughly at bedtime with warm water mixed with Sodium Bicarbonate(food-grade baking soda) to create an environment hostile to the unfettered growth of bacteria by meddling with PH. We also began disinfecting toothbrushes after every use with hydrogen peroxide. We haven't had any issues with plaque or cavities since that time! It's amazing that such a small change in hygiene can have such a dramatic effect. But it's unconscionable that modern dentistry doesn't understand, or promote, proper hygiene. Edit: And get rid of commercial toothpaste that's loaded with Sodium Saccharin! That is, unless you want to promote bacterial growth and tooth decay while you sleep.
@@pammi100 We just rinse the toothbrush with water after each use, and then spray the bristles with hydrogen peroxide before returning it to its holder. And rinse with water immediately before using it again, although HP is often touted as an ingredient in toothpaste. The small brown spray bottles of hydrogen peroxide are cheap and easy to find.
@@Green-bp2lm Half a teaspoon mixed with a quarter cup of warm water. Swish this mixture in the mouth at bedtime for 15 seconds before spitting it out , and don't rinse it away afterwards.
I have always used sea salt and baking soda in my mouth wash and brush with it. My teeth feel great, and have that proper "slippery feel", but I am going to try adding Vit C and see how that works out. Before I learned to take better care of my teeth I had 2 root canals and my gums tend to be sensitive and bleed easy around them.
I use baking soda to replace commercial deodorant for few years now. It works even better than deodorant as it is more lasting even when doing heavy physical activities and I sweat a lot. I also took a pinch in case of acid reflux but I don't do this regularly.
As a pharmacist I see a problem for this solution. Must be made everyday, new to be used once and fast. The reason for this is ascorbic acid is very fast oxidized.with contact with O2. So try not to store the solution,.
Captain Cook first used Sauerkraut ... He also took with him 'Sour Krout', that is sauerkraut, cabbage fermented with lactic acid bacteria. On Cook's first Pacific voyage in 1768, the Navy wanted to trial the efficacy of sauerkraut in combatting scurvy. The Endeavour was provided with 7,860 pounds of sauerkraut, a ration of 2 pounds per man per week.
Thank you, Doctor! I carry a bottle of lemon water with me everyday. Simply: Freshly squeezed lemon juice poured into a gallon of water; keep refrigerated. Btw, I haven't gotten a cold since the pandemic started in 2020, and I've been wearing a mask everyday {on the trains, and at work.} 🙏🏾 ❤ from NYC!
Xylitol toothpaste, without flouride has worked wonders for me. It changes the Bio film in the mouth. Native Americans used the birch tree bark to chew on, it has been found that the birch tree has natural xylitol.
The in-betweener brushes are so awesome. There are multiples sizes depending on how big the spaces between your teeth are. I brush, floss, and then use those brushes, and it is amazing how significantly less bad my breath is in the morning.
True. I've just booked an entire bloodwork for vitamins, minerals, hormones etc to see what my levels are. Everyone should do that every few years at least.
@@jimwest7107 - isn't it hard to get the most detailed blood test for all possible problems/deficiencies because insurance doesn't want to pay? that's what i heard. there are 5 or so levels of tests
In order to get 3% peroxide you have to go to a herb or vitamin shop because the peroxide in the drug stores or grocery stores isn’t 3%. Thank you so much for these videos, you are the best!
Hey Doc, what are your thoughts on Chlorine Dioxide / CDS? It too works wonders on totally removing bad breathe. I'd love to see you do an episode on it. THANKS
I use chlorine dioxide and when I'm drinking it I swish it around in my mouth before swallowing it and I can tell the difference it makes for my teeth. Helps with sensitivity.
I use chlorine dioxide as a mouth rinse and take it internally. I changed my diet to keto a year ago and started on the chlorine dioxide, which cleared up Candida overgrowth and more. As a mouth rinse, it got rid of infection I’d had in my gums for many years. Teeth, which were beginning to get loose, became tight and stable again. Infections of the gums can cause serious health issues. Watch the documentaries, “Quantum Healing” and “The Universal Antidote”, for more information. It kills viruses too.

Dr Berg. I've always been a dental health nut with regular cleanings, and I always had significant tartar build-up at every cleaning. About 2 years ago, I started avoiding high-oxalate foods (spinach and almonds). At my 5 cleanings since cutting oxalate, I have had ZERO tartar buildup. Calcium oxalate is one of the minerals that cause build-up (and kidney stones).
I am a dentist and you are completelly wrong. Dental tartar contains ZERO calcium oxalate ( wich is found in saliva). Calcium phosphate is the main mineral found in tartar along with withlockite, brushite and hydroxyapatite.
@@bogdanbosoi1483 Thanks for your insight. Different than what my dentist told me. Regardless, I know 50 years of brushing and flossing daily with heavy build-up changed when I cut oxalates from my diet. Last week I had my 5th 6-month cleaning in a row with no build-up (2 1/2 years). That said, saliva has oxalic acid. Maybe oxalic acid plus enzymes account for the build-up. Also, you may not be 100% correct. Per The National Library of Medicine (Pub Med), "Oxalic acid was determined in human saliva, teeth, tartar, and in animal teeth. Saliva from dentally healthy male subjects contained 0.10 +/- 0.09 mmol/l (n = 41) and those of dentally healthy female subjects 0.18 +/- 0.17 mmol/l (n = 40). Oxalic acid in tartar from 16 patients was 3.3 +/- 1.2 mmol/kg tartar. In human teeth, oxalic acid was 1.0 +/- 0.3 mmol/kg in milk teeth (n = 12) and 0.9 +/- 0.6 mmol/kg in permanent teeth (n = 60). Human teeth were sorted into age groups and into molars, incisors and premolars. In animal teeth, oxalic acid content varied widely. The formed calcium oxalate is proposed to be a 'physiological' protective mechanism for teeth." That could account for my situation. Maybe I'm an outlier. I would suggest anyone with heavy buildup try cutting oxalates and seeing if it works for them too. Hopefully, they will report their findings here after a couple of cleaning cycles. cheers
Acid could mess with your enamel. Much better, do it with buffered vitamin C - sodium ascorbate. And use waterpik to reach areas under gum and in between teeth. Good luck.
My dentist told me to take all b with c when i was a kid. I had horrible gums when i was a kid. Bleeding all the time. It fixed it. Pretty impressive recovery.
Also K2 helps reduce the hardened plaque (calculus). As for vitamin C, I wonder if synthetic works better than natural since it’s primarily ascorbic acid 🤔
@@Man86324 FYI, I’ve researched Non GMO brands of vitamin C and found that any that have QUALI-C certified ingredients listed, are actually derived from non GMO corn and manufactured in Scotland. Dr’s Best brand has it and is quite reasonably priced. 🌽
Dr. Berg I love your videos so much. You explain so damn well. I like educating myself on health and could listen to your videos all day long. Also there is no ballast. Your videos are straight to the point.
