If the Kingdom of God is right here, both with and within us, we can never be closer to God than present, here and now. So, a key for finding spiritual life is to let go attachments to, or thinking of anything else. Where do I go when I meditate? I turn back from being absent. And, naturally, that is done by letting go.

I just want you to know that what you are doing for us is absolutely phenomenal. The words of wisdom so quietly spoken are truly a great place for us to relax and gain knowledge at the same time. This really brings me back when I was in a clinic for addiction an behavior problems, the number one rule in the group sessions was: feet on the ground, en relax your whole body. This was a way of getting close to yourself and your feelings

People, please, stop sending John all of these questions! If you have a question, just sit, feet on the ground, and experience the peace of the present moment. That is your answer to all of these questions. Some seem to mistake John for a counsellor or psychotherapist, dumping life's pragmatic problems on his doorstep. Take what is offered in these wonderful, simple videos. It is all the spiritual nourishment you need! The rest, is just noise.

My question is “How can people have SO many questions about something that is SO simple?” It couldn’t be more simple and yet people just don’t seem to see it. Also, another question is “what if John satisfactorily answers your question? What then?” They’ll only be satisfied for a few minutes before they produce another question!

Another wonderful video. The question about dealing with harsh words and judgments: never easy, and as John rightly points out, such moments can hurt one's confidence. Harsh words almost always reflect the inner state of the speaker, not the person they are judging. I'm still trying to really live this. We need to not react in such moments (something the ego is always willing to do), look on them with compassion and bless them.

Took me quite a lot of videos to really understand your concept of god (which I find quite interesting, a bit of gnostic ism in it perhaps). And I think that even without the spiritual things in it there s something about your philosophy and meditation that can help people "let go" as you say or be more focused on what's in front of them (as your dad would say if I may 😉)
