I go for a nature walk at Skunk Cabbage with my Rolleiflex and Hasselblad X1DII. I shoot Ilford HP5+ and medium format digital. To see more of my work go here: www.toddkorol.com / toddkorol
Excellent as always, and nice to see such good results from a "stop along the way to my assignment" in addition to your multi-day treks into the wilderness. Particularly like the leaves in B&W. Speaking of which, I have just started experimenting with CatLabs 80 with my Wista 45-based on your video recommendation; pretty good so far. Thanks for doing these.
Good video Todd. I've driven by that place a few times on my way to Kelowna. I tried to stop there last year but it was closed to the public for some reason. I'll be driving by 4 times in July/August. So hope to stop at least once to get some shots. Hopefully something as good as yours.
I would like to more know about how you approach color balance settings on your digital cameras in situations like this as well as out on the prairie. Great video. Those big trees make the camera gear, and people, look so small - a wonderful place.
Nice placement of the highlights on the b&w shots. I have the same meter, but when I am shooting digital and film in same outing, I tend to get lazy and let my mirrorless camera be my film meter.
A lot of the times I just also want to see what it looks like in color. But then there was the mossy tree stump, that’s just a natural color shot. Thanks for watching as always!
Unfortunately the trilliums weren't in bloom. One plant, three leaves, one bloom every three years. Big and beautiful would look great in square format.
I see you develop your own film. I want to get in to that part of photography, Is there any good at home development kits you would recommend? I do only BW 120 film
