My thoughts on the Nature Spell Vitamin C Brightening Face Serum.
My skin: Dry; Dehydrated; Redness; Dull; Sensitised; Mature (40+).
In order to measure any skin changes over time, I do use a small ring light to compensate for shadows and/or changes from natural daylight, thereby facilitating some level of consistency between videos. As a rule, I film without wearing makeup (eyebrows and lips aside) so that it's my actual skin on camera.

That's great! Just goes to show that our skin has individual likes and preferences just as much as we do!

Having used Skinceuticals CE ferulic and liking it rather then loving it I've never investigated other vit C serums. It's not a must have step in my rather lazy skincare routine. A serum I did try and enjoy was the Ordinary's resveratrol which I believe is an antioxidant. Hoping you are well? x

Hi Lynn, very well thank you. That's good to hear. I can't help but notice that the lazier I am with my skincare routine, the happier my skin seems to be. But I do think topicals can help - it's just a question of finding the right ones. I've not experimented with antioxidants or peptides such as reveratrol, CoQ10 or Matrixyl - I guess it's just all trial and error and being open to the results.

@@AnnetteGiroux I've often thought about topicals in general and I've come to the conclusion that because I don't engage in behaviors that damage skin like smoking, drinking, sunbathing my skin hasn't got the type of damage that these ingredients may help - I eat a lot of veg and some fruit ( and supplement somewhat) so I feel my skin is getting the help it needs from the inside out. The Ordinary's Buffet is very nice The one thing my skin loves is acid toners The journey is the fun bit though -

Ah, you put me to shame. I don't smoke, drink or sunbathe but my skin would struggle to identify an antioxidant from vegetables alone. But 100% agree - it's all about the journey!
