I bought this bag because it is an excellent all-rounder and extremely well priced. I am 174cm, over 100kg, (5'9") and it both fits perfect and I can adjust it up and down with the straps. Strap height adjustment at the top on other designs comes at a price of extra weight which I don't want. I can comfortably carry up to 14kg 31lbs. The padding is excellent, there is no neck rubbing, waste belt works well, its just that the waste pocket are a little too small, can just get my iphone 7 and a snackbar in one. One option here is removal of the waste belt and then using an extra front bag with a waste belt (bum bag) for my camera, a drink bottle and some snacks. I personally have no problem with the small chest strap height adjustment, tho some might. Built quality is very high, so no faults at all. What did surprise me was how tall and narrow these modern bags are, compared to heavier backpacks from the 90's, mine were canvas nylon blend, and had a brain compartment, good bag but 2.3kg. I recommend paying extra for the dyneema version, just for extra security of toughness and rain proofness. I like the removable rain cover.Cost to NZ was $165NZ from Aliexpress, or $101 USD. Yes a drink bottle is hard to get at in the side mesh pocket without lowering the bag. I get around that with a bottle in the shoulder pocket, and one in the bum bag. Also, what is wrong with stopping to rest and drink every 40 mins or so? Overall I am very happy with the bag, think it was an investment in my outdoor life.

I own the the 60 litre. I bought it to try out before buying one for my other half. My torso is 22 inches. My wife 18 inches. For me the pack is perfect. For her the fixed (not adjustable) strap attachment points were too high above her shoulders. She believed it was still comfortable after loading the packing and taking a short hike but I decided to buy the 45 litre for her instead. This was a better fit. We are both happy with the packs. I am going to guess that the strap issue for Scottish Wanderer may not be his neck thickness but his torso length. The straps are no separating enough as the attachment points are sitting to high. I may be wrong but this based on my experience and I hope it helps someone.

Osprey in Large they just fit if you are taller and big. I'm tall but 220lbs and have big chest and wide shoulders and small 34 inch waist in comparison to upper body. So before anyone says to loose weight to make these crappy packs fit it isn't possible. The Osprey Exos in Large fits great. Osprey are good too as they don't shorten the smaller size one on the back down like my 38 Litre is the same torso size as the 58 in the same model. The 45 litre version of this Rock pack is even shorter on the back. A pack is something I would not skimp on, you buy the cheapest gas stove or even a cheaper tent that is a bit less than you would like but it wont stop you wanting to get out in the hills wild camping. and no one ever complained it took 45 seconds longer and 2 grams of gas more to cook dinner and a cuppa, or if the tent was a little small or not a nice colour. If you get a bad pack though you wont be coming back for more when you are hurting and have neck, shoulder and headache from a shity pack. Likely you will not want to go again for a long time.

Is there any advantage in going for the dyneema version vs the regulat nylon? Naturehike lists the dymeema version (1.31 kg) as heavier than the regular nylon (1.16 kg). Thanks.

Don't see the point my self mate I would get the cheapest one

I have the dyneema version and am very happy with it, knowing that the fabric is very tough, hard wearing and more water resistant. I tend to overload packs, so fabric strength is an issue. Happy with overall design too.

You are right, the straps are very close together, the thing is after people complain they will change it its like the banana, what you call it ripes with the customer realy you should tell them you will send back then maybe they will change faster and send you a better version,

Bought this and disappointed that it's not in any way a genuine 60L in size. Their own stated dimensions for the 60L multiple to 31L (I should have checked that), and the expansion bits are in no way adding another 30L when the main bit is full. I've measured it and filled it and it's nowhere near 60L (yes it's the 60L 1.2kg version). It's *much* smaller than another 60L pack I have, and is actually slightly smaller than a 40L pack I have.

Hey mate I am not an expert on backpacks and i am only going on from what I watched one day with go outdoors in England I think you may have a women's pack because the straps that are on that pack are made for a women's chest I may be wrong but do some research into it

Love to see others oppinions about this pack as I have also reviewed it on my channel. I am absolutely pleased with it, especially for that price. Backs are usually never adjustable at these kind of ultralight packs. They usually come in different torso lengths. That's what you miss with this one.

It's a budget pack with none of the premium pack features. Having the shoulder pads close together is good as long as they don't chafe your neck. Try wearing mock turtlenecks or a neck gaiter. Scapula width and angle adjustment is very rare; I've only ever seen it in Dana Design's Killer B series suspensions. The lack of suspension length adjustment is a cost and weight reducer but means you must buy in your size. The lack of adjustability on the sternum strap is just stupid. Front of shoulder and chest rigs are not typically used for water carry; they're used for navigation and communication tools, weapons and sunglasses.

If your not to happy with the backpack dont use it stuart especially it being tight on your neck that will be very uncomfortable on long hikes.👍❤❤❤🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I am 100% happy with this pack and I am an avid guy who is always in the alps. I know a lot of other people who are happy with this pack BUT these people are all under 1,85 and or not overweight. If you have a bigger body form I can see the problem with the straps. Solution? Get fit! But that's not the packs fault.

Yes your right it could be because I am over weigh it must be made for only thin people I will stick to my osprey 44l I think

If it hurts your neck that quickly, I'd consider that pack a total failure of design. What if you had to hike like 10 miles, you'd be toast!
