In this conversation, we confront a sobering reality: despite being part of the church, many individuals (including pastors) lack a foundational biblical worldview, particularly when understanding suffering. Join us as we discuss this issue. Make sure to share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below.

This video helped unburdened me from anxiety of being obsessed with the suffering of those I love. Accepting suffering as a reality of this life is a relief. I can be ok with things in this life not being ok. I listened to this several times and wrote out some notes I can refer back to. Thank you so much for sharing this perspective.

Currently dealing with my dad in the hospital because of a ruptured brain aneurysm. It has been by far the hardest time of my life. This video helped me ❤️

We went through that with my wife 5 years ago. There is hope and healing through Jesus Christ. Stand steadfast in prayer and faith.

I'm in agreement the way so many reacted to the last 4yrs with the "it's the end of the world" type of thinking when toilet paper. As some with severe disabilities and chronic illnesses I battle with more on a daily basis than most who were complaining about toilet paper at that time. I've had people shrug off what I battle like nothing but they freaked out over toilet paper which doesn't make sense. As hard as it is going through my life with trials and suffering I believe that in the long run it's better than to live a care free life that many others have. I have the opportunity to witness to many people through all that I go to whether it's my NP, drs and nurses in the hospitals or paramedics, church family and others I come across regularly because of what I go through. I get asked regularly how do I deal with all of the suffering that I do and that opens up the conversation for me to share my faith. I know that God is good all the time and working it all out for His glory, His Kingdom and my good. That doesn't mean that I'll automatically be healed or anything like that but that He is with me and sanctifying me daily and I know that one day I'll be able to be pain free and healed when I get to see Jesus face to face in heaven.

I got my first bidet when the tp shortage happened and very glad I did. I buy so much less every since and it's way more hygenic.

I was suffering I had just relocated out of state then my husband was threatened with losing his job at work if he didn’t take the medication. It was awful. Then my neighbor had a heart attack after getting the shot.

I know that I have felt tired since getting the vaccines. I shouldn't have gotten them but people pressured me. I have repented from getting those.

The Catholic Church does! Welcome it if called to it. God is doing something. Offer it up to Him, joined with the suffering of Christ. “Take up your cross and follow me.” May we live it.

I have dived into Catholic and Orthodox studies lately and they seem to understand suffering at levels I have never seen before as a Protestant. Honestly, I am beginning to believe that historical Christianity is Catholic.

Before you go further in that direction, would you consider watching Mike Winger’s YT videos on Catholicism? Also Mike Gendron’s ministry? Possibly having a more robust theology of suffering doesn’t outweigh other errant doctrines. Praying for you.🙏🏽

@nutricoach7947 I have already watched everything you suggested. I love Mike Winger! I have followed his stuff for years. Mike Winger made a pretty decent good faith effort in his videos. I was totally on board with him until I went further and started doing some research outside of Protestant circles. On the other hand it didn't take a whole lot to see the holes in Mike Gendron's stuff. He is passionately wrong about a lot and asking a couple questions of Catholics refutes him very quickly. He really doesn't know what he is talking about and he is doing damage to the Protestant position.

@@nutricoach7947 could you please elaborate on which doctrines you are referring to as errant. I have worked through a few and found I had a terrible understanding of Catholic teaching but I am sure there are things I haven't looked into yet.

Keep in mind no denomination is perfect, it can be a giant waste of time trying to find the perfect denomination. That's why in the Book of Revelation, the best church was the Church of Philadelphia (Brotherly Love). No denomination can compete with the holy Spirit and with Jesus, none. Same thing with pastors and elders, try finding one that does everything perfectly, knows all things, can answer all your questions perfectly, and knows everything about life and the church. Not gonna happen.
@jessebartunek3195
@jessebartunek3195 Месяц назад
@joeypchajek that is so true. I grew up in the church and really claimed the faith for my own in my teens. I don't need perfect people or denominations (impossible) because I have Jesus and he is perfect. In your opinion, why should someone not become Catholic but instead join X denomination?

Look to the church fathers for all of your answers. There is nothing new under the sun.
