Charts 8 displays NOTAM for over 7,000 airports across the globe. In this video we’ll show you how to display NOTAM in the Charts application.
The definition of NOTAM is "Notice to Airmen", or "Notice to Air Mission" (FAA definition). It serves the purpose of informing those who are involved in flight operations about irregularities and any potential hazards and conditions that could impact the flight. The notices that go into NOTAM are not known far enough in advance to be publicized by other means. Examples of information that a NOTAM can provide is hazards such as parachuting activities and air shows, closed taxiways and runways, obstacles, military activities and radio navigational aids that are unserviceable.

I switched to Charts recently, An I am liking it so far. But 1 thing i miss from flight plan go is the ability to doodle on the various charts. I could draw a red line over a taxiway thats NOTAMed closed for example. Or a yellow one thats NOTAMed with construction nearby. Is there any plans to bring a similar feature to Charts?

Hi there! You will find all charts if you select *Airports* (ATC logo). Then search for a Airport, select *Open Airport* or *Charts* We have organized them by *STAR, APP, TAXI, SID, REF.* I can also inform you that we have plans to put in a draw feature so you can mark NOTAMs on Taxi charts, unfortunately I don't have a date. but it will come.

If I think right, I suppose you tested this new functionnality just before realising it, so reasonnably, let's say in January...... exactly when the FAA NOTAM System Collapsed, grounding hundreds of flights. Am I the only one to see the link here ?? (just kidding)
