This is incredible, was so excited to hear about it in the pipeline and the functionality exceeds my expectations. Perf calcs have always been the bane of sim flight planning for me, honestly thanks so much guys, from a long time Navigraph subscriber. 11/10.
Sensational. Finding a decent perf calc for any aircarft is so hit and miss but now I only need one. And people still whine about a Navigraph subscription, worth its weight in gold and should be the first thing you get if you are serious about this hobby.
This video looks and sounds great! I would love to know how to do it so I can make videos of my flights to share with friends. Do you know how to do this stuff @Can_y?
Great point and that would be fun 😀. But we'll keep doing our best in the real world at the moment :). Thanks for supporting us and for being part of our community! Happy flying!
This funcionality doesn't give us a trim value? And the speeds are too low. How is posible that a takeoff with a A339 which weight is 192 tons of TOW it give me 137kt of V1?
This video looks and sounds great! I would love to know how to do it so I can make videos of my flights to share with friends. Can anyone out there explain how to do this stuff? Thanks!
Thank you for the tool and the video, totally awesome. I have a question: instead of having a "Shorten Length" field for the runway, wouldn't it have been easier to have a TORA field and let the pilot plug in whatever TORA he's going to be using depending on the intermediate holding point he may be using ? Sounds easier (and more realistic) than having the user calculate a runway reduction length, no ? Thank you again, fantastic job ! Let me sub to this channel.
I know navigraph prolly does not work with FS9 (yes i still use it and love it. And will keep using it until someone realeases a saab 340/2000 for MSFS.) But i am thinking of buying it anyway. Getting ready to go to flight school i better start leaning to usue Sids and Stars instead of what i nomrally do is take off climb to cuise right off the bat and go direct to destination and land.. Lol.
One question: When I want to do an intersection takeoff, what value do I need to enter into the shorten length? Do I enter the amount I want the runway to be shortened by or the length of the shortened runway?
i have always been thinking about getting a subscription, this might tip me over. is the simbrief dispatch for planning and performance calculation also integrated into the navigraph app? thanks!
While the planning and performance are separate the Navigraph app integrates with SimBrief seamlessly. For instance your flight plan created in SimBrief will import into the app, so you will have your charts that your planned for your flight along with moving maps.
Hi! Currently the auto-populate button will fill in the runway from your latest flight plan, whereas entering an airport manually (without clicking auto-populate) will enter the current runway in use. The accuracy of SimBrief's runway in use might vary depending on the airport. For example, if there is an ATIS available for that airport SimBrief will get the runway from there, but for other airports it might be less accurate due to local procedures that we aren't aware always of. We recommend always double-checking what runway SimBrief has chosen against the current runway in use in the sim, just in case!
@@vdwaal In SimBrief, you can get the same runway in use data (assuming it is available for the airport in question) by clicking the cloud icon above the airport ICAO code. Then in the weather pop-up that appears, clicking the box to view runways.
So do we not need to use the performance tool in the PMDG tablet now? General question - I spend a lot of time in Charts selecting transitions and approaches but there's no way to get that info into BeyondATC for example or simbrief since BATC reads simbrief? Confusing. I know this questions isn't specific to the perf calculations but I'm relatively new and I dont understand if there's a way to have anything derived in Navigraph charts to be put into simbrief so that ATCs or other tools that leverage simbrief are in synch with what I want my flight plan to look like. I see you input your own weather. Is something wrong with the import weather button you didn't press?
Approaches are not planned in Simbrief, only the SID/STARS and enroute waypoints. Any SID/STAR that can have a transition to/from and approach is automatically accounted for by the preceeding/following waypoint before/after the procedure. If BATC is reading the OFP correctly from Simbrief then your transitions should work and, if not, then that's an issue with BATC and not Simbrief. If you want BATC to know exactly what approach you wish to fly, that is a feature BATC will have to add.
Looks good. Does it do all aircraft, like ATR for examp,e? Not sure why I would use it for pmdg or Fenix as their tablets already have the calculators. Also, any plans to put engine out procedures in? At the moment we need to use a different app for that
Thank you Navigraph for making Simbrief like a real navigation tool. who need a license to fly 😄 but thanks Team for making it more realistic and we are expecting more improvement in coming years, Wish all the best
I have one issue and maybe I am doing something wrong, when using Fenix or PMDG I want to be able to load my own amount of passengers or cargo not auto, none or full?
Use Simbrief then load it into your FMC or MCDU once it is generated in Simbrief. This is basic, you can put any value in Simbrief for these quantities you are asking about.
@@tgmjrtgmjr8221 I have searched Simbrief for where to change the values, mainly passenger and it shows full, auto or none, won't allow me to change them?
Great point 👍. Since SimBrief only supports setting the total number of passengers or cargo (and not where in the aircraft they are located), it isn't possible for us to provide this. For example, the trim setting will change depending on if all the passengers are sitting in the front or in the back. Since SimBrief doesn't have a setting for this, we can't calculate a trim setting. However, normally most add-ons that feature an EFB will be able to provide a trim setting based on how you've set the aircraft payload.
@Navigraph - are you guesstimating your Airbus calculations for things like Flex temp and take-off speeds or did you work with Airbus on this because my understanding is that Airbus does not publish this kind of info in the public domain and keeps it confidential ? Your calculator generates quite different stats to, for example, the calculator in the fbw a320 NEO in MSFS
Since this is a simulator tool, we don't have access to all of the manufacturer data that real-world tools might have. All flight simulator add-ons suffer from this to some extent, which is one reason why different add-ons might give different numbers. But it's also important to know that different numbers don't necessarily mean that one is "wrong" and one is "right". There can be a range of different values that one could use for a takeoff, depending on which part of the takeoff is being optimized. If you haven't seen it already, I encourage you to watch this video from A330 Driver which talks about exactly this concept: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-POPpZRsSgGc.html
This is an awesome addition, especially when using the Flybywire A320-Neo and the other Airbus MODs. Thanks for the update. Money well spent for my subscription.

Really impressed at this, mostly because it actually works for GA planes and not just airliners! I also love the graphical depiction. Am I imagining things or has the ATIS format changed? I honestly didn't look at it in Navigraph much so this might not be true but it looked different when I pulled up NZCH just now to test. Almost looks more machine readable. Any chance this ATIS is maybe being exposed to others to read now? Would be great if something like Beyond ATC could read the ATIS here so as to have matching runway assignments.
Thanks, glad you like it! Regarding the ATIS, it looks like this one was added by an online VATSIM controller, not sure why it's formatted that way. Beyond ATC is also free to hook into the VATSIM API to get ATIS data such as this, no need to go through us for that!
@@SimBrief Ahh I didn't realize you were getting the ATIS from VATSIM. Unfortunately VATSIM has a ton of airports without ATIS so I thought you had your own setup for that :) No worries and thanks for this feature! Very nice for planes that don't have a calculator in their EFB and we don't have access to the "real" ones like SPS.
You guys are amazing. Especially since I have started flying into and out of much smaller airports with the ATR-72/42 in MSFS this function is invaluable :)
You guys are amazing. Thank you for adding this useful tool to simbrief. I’ve been looking for a good performance calculator that includes a variety of airframes but it doesn’t exist……..u til now! Thank you! Can’t wait to see what’s next!
Hi! Under the ”Landing Performance” tab, you can select whether to use rev thrust credit or not. This is toggled to on by standard, so unless you change this, it will account for reverse thrust credit.
@@tgmjrtgmjr8221 LOL :D First of all, you still need an Navigraph subscription to get the up to date airports data. Including an API opens possibilities for aircraft developer or VAs to include it in their EFB. Btw, they already confirmed that the will consider an API implementation. ;)

Thank you! Yeah - Jorge, Andy, Jens and Jason in the content team are really on a roll now. The rest of the Navigraph Team enjoys watching them too! /Magnus, CEO
We are so happy that you enjoyed our services and that you like this new feature. Thank you for your comment and the positive energy that you spread. Happy flying!
@@Max_Holton Typically you have to enter these numbers yourself. We do, however, include these values in the flight plan, so it is possible for a developer to use the SimBrief API and link it to the FMS of the particular aircraft your are flying. This might be adopted by developers gradually over time.
