Undoubtedly the best channel giving wide and deep insight in to not only individual companies but the industries which they belong to. Wish I had come across SOIC earlier and used their wisdom in identifying companies with potential to grow instead of investing based on half-cooked information. You are king in making in depth analysis of both the processes and business models of chemical and pharmaceutical companies. No one comes nearer to you. Please keep it up.There is need for analysing the company’s management and resources put in sister companies/ subsidiary companies, I mean related company transactions etc. A little of forensic accounting audit also may be necessary before jumping into long term investments.
We do go through each and every line item in the Annual reports. Mafatlal is a very clean group in terms of corporate governance, Cfo/Pat questions fail to appreciate how a business works. If there was no cash flow, how would the business keep paying dividends and become debt free and fund the entire upcoming capex from internal accruals? same questions come in other export oriented businesses. Will make a video soon on how cash flow works :)
Excellent report , Two years back , I have purchased this share without much knowledge on business strategy of this company .. Now , I feel for the same ,, I will try buy at next available opportunity for long term holding basis
