@@RedScotland Like I’ve already mentioned, we’ve brought in some excellent young talent, and we’ve proceeded forward with our first major signing Polish defender Maik Nawrocki , am sure there will be a few more coming in , we haven’t spent much , but look at the quality of the first four signings, yes we need a replacement for Jota , a goalkeeping a left back and a out and out striker , so there’s no need to panic, we’ve got a formidable squad 🍀

@@Darren.ftk. am not assuming anything, I’ve seen enough to be confident they’ll hold there own when there introduced into the fold, Marco Tilo looks a handful going forward and has a lovely touch accepting a pass , driving forward, he’s got great technical ability and balance and turns on the burner when he needs, Norwegian DM Odin Thiago Holm is one of the best young players to come out of Norway,, and we all know how good Norwegians are , so let’s see how the gel into the squad, 🍀

Quite happy with the work so far too David. Think we need a striker though and debate over LB and GK too.

Jim - hows it going! I think (and hope!) that the biscuit tin mentality at Celtic Park is very much a thing of the past. Hopeful that we'll get a few more solid signings in over the next few weeks. Think we're in good hands with Rodgers back at the helm, and though a lot of folk didnt want him back his talent as a coach has never been in question. Just out of interest - what school did you go to Jim? ;-) I've got faith that you'll make it up this year and if you do we'll be sure to grab a drink and a catch up! Cheers!

Yeh its become a bit of a dated term. That said though we do need a couple of more signings of proven quality if we're to have any impact in Europe.

He's got certain qualities and incredible pace. Does lack certain technical ability though

Maeda couldn't hit a cows arse way a banjo, he scored a hattrick in preseason.....wow, 2 were tap ins and he missed a few great chances in that same game. His finishing isn't good enough , if he's our striker in the champions league then we'll score less goals than the last time. We need quality , not 10 projects every year while losing our best players and making profit for our directors

Think Hart may have another big season in him David but definitely need someone in to compete with him and potentially replace him over time,

@@TheCelticExchange Possibly guys, but im just not Joe Harts biggest fan and never also was Starfelts , i believe he Hart is good in the dressing room for morale but its good players and goalie on the park we want . AND too many times between the sticks Hart just doesnt go up for high balls in his box when i feel at times he should ..but not his strong point possibly and it aids if a goalie has 2 good centre backs in there also aye . But i just feel Celtic could now do at the start of this season with better between the sticks with Europe in mind ..i recall Forster saved our bacon a few times in Europe and just feel we need in a goalie who can do a fine job for the team And its time for a NEW beginning this season for me likes with also a new goalkeeper bought in ..But if not then i wish Hart well in goal though isnt my fav goalie to depend on . Possibly the young cback from Poland shall come good for us ? time shall tell and i do prefer a cback from Europe over Asia i admit . A Striker maybe also we can do with a guy with some experience though Maeda shall give his all and who knows how he shall do ? has some experience with Japanese Int team and like guy ok just gets on with his game with no fuss . Abada im a fan of him and he for me in the Bobby Lennox mould quick and a danger to any team and always liked Abada . Im not Rodgers biggest fan and feel he shouldnt be at Celtic but it is what it is and we go on and as for Tino in the pod i agree with him in that should sign players in the positions they play in and not this Rodgers saying hes Versatile as for me this is cheap way around not signing a player or players in the position they actually play in ..Im a firm believer in getting in players for the position they actually do play in and get a player in a position in which needs needs made stronger . Sad Jota one of our best players is away likes but it is what it is and we have to move on and try get in some talent in need for Chamos league and possibly Europa .

Had high hopes for Kobayashi Danielle - and think he should still be given a bit more time - but it just hasn't worked out for him so far. With a bit of luck we'll see Kwon, Yang & Rocki tomorrow, but completely agree we need new bodies at Striker and GK. Striker a real priority tbh - especially with Kyogo shoulder injury and the Asian Cup.
