This was the message that touched me most. Wednesday my son didn't have the Holy Ghost. He told me that this message got to him the most. Thursday night he received the Holy Ghost and Friday afternoon he got baptised in Jesus name.
When we were talking he said he kept reading Acts chapter 2 over and over for a few months before NAYC and listening to preachers from previous NAYC. This just shows if you are hungry you will do whatever it takes to receive the Holy Ghost.
It is usually pronounced as you say, namely with an "i" sound as in "igloo," but it isn't any more of a big deal than one choosing to say po-TA-to instead of po-ta-TO, to-MA-to instead of to-ma-TO, etc. Don't let the devil distract you with that triviality, vrubio.
So many Apostolics that could go actually change that city if they went out into that city and just shared the gospel, healed the sick, and cast out demons...unfortunately its not really taught in to these apostolics. The early church was different than this ..if you really want to know how to be more of a practical disciple than "hearing a good sermon" go check out The Last Reformation The Life movie on YT. Yes, I believe in Jesus name baptism and recieving His Holy Spirit but then what? These signs shall follow them that believe..in my name they shall...you have the Holy Spirit stop waiting on 30 years of sermons/bible teachings ..GO!
If we need a movie on YT to motivate us then there is something fundamentally wrong with our prayer life. If we are connected and plugged into the Power through old fashioned prayer and we read our word with hunger THEN the spirit will lead us and those things WILL happen. I feel I understand that you are referring to how complacent the church as a whole has become in this modern age which is why it is so important that we stay a peculiar people set apart for the work of the kingdom. Yes we need to stick to our roots and lay hands and heal and be fearless in stepping out in faith that God will do these things through us via the power He has instilled in us... But please be careful what spirit you say things in and let us NOT belittle good anointed preaching as that is part of the 5 fold ministry God established and we HIS people NEED this as well to be strengthened and to grow. If you meant it in love then I apologize but I have to say it didn't come across that way.
