I was also happy when my dad said to me if you wanna sing, sing country your voice suits that, and if you wanna do it more we'll get singing lessons for you. Wasn't that intrested tho, I just like singing for myself when I drive to work (about 30 min ride for me)

A special on the family was televised and may be here on youtube. They lived in the grossest conditions. Eventually had to move because of so much disruption to the neighborhood, not to mention the odor from the house. They continued to encounter trouble. Sad for the young lady. He parents have ruined her. That is child abuse.
I really respect Simon for the way he reacted to those upset parents. If I couldn't sing I would want my parents to tell me instead of giving me false hope.

Jonny was actually not bad at all, it was just his whole appearance and persona that put the judges off. If I heard his voice on the radio or something I wouldn't think anything bad of it. Be a good Christmas voice.

Felt bad for the jockey because Simon really did want to recognize that she was trying and wasn't very confident. Simon does take a little pity on those who may not have the best voice but still have the courage to try. What he hates are the people that can't sing and come in with this huge belief they're amazing and even diluted beliefs.
I don't know if the viewers got why they were laughing at her when she said she was an apprentice jockey. She is huge; jockeys have to be super short, light people who weigh as little as possible so as not slow down the horse. So, her glaring lack of self-awareness, coupled with the awkwardness of the dress choice and singing was too much; and they go a case of the giggles. I think someone is feeding into her delusion by allowing her to be an "apprentice" jockey as not to crush her spirit, knowing full well there is zero chance she will ever be a jockey. She seems like she has serious mental and social issues.
She didn't say she was a professional jockey. She said she was an apprentice jockey which means she probably excercises the horses. She's too big to be a jockey.
anorourke very true. A lot of parents and friends do that. You can be honest without being hurtful however people are gonna be offended by what u do or how nice u try to say something. Unfortunately some people need to be told a lil harsh so they can get it. But its all love and correction but most people can't take it

anorourke yeah a lot of parents do that to their kids..because they are biased like u said. I believe every person has something they are good at. Figure out what your kids are good at then pursue it...but dont give them false hope. Amd dont force them to be what u want them to be..The truth might hurt in the beginning but it heals as well. Thats why I like Simon. He can be a bit rude at times...however...you shouldn't come on the show if u simply sing..embarrassment can easily happen

yes! I get angry when I see Louie or Sharon laughing at contestants. Sharon's in her 50s, and by now should have some self-control. It reminds me of high school, and is mean-spirited and very immature. These people are nervous enough without idiots laughing like hyenas at them!
