Definitely worth diving in Biz. Dan McCafferty is such a tremendous vocalist and they have some classic rock songs in their catalogue/ Please Don't Judas Me, Telegram, Turn on Your Receiver, This Flight Tonight are just a few
Those of us who are rockers and grew up in the seventies love Nazareth. This entire album "hair of the dog" is awesome Biz, as is most of their catalog including the razzmanazz and loud and proud albums.
Great Reaction! Nazareth has many excellent tunes, definitely worth a dive.. A few are "Beggar's Day", "Expect No Mercy", "Revenge Is Sweet", " Telegram", "Somebody To Roll", "Go Down Fighting", "No Mean City", and "Down Home Girl".. thanks.
My favorite song by Nazareth! Love it! I wouldn't call this metal, but it's definitely a hard rocker! I'm gonna say this is their heaviest song. I got to see them once around 78, or 79. They rocked! ☮️🤘🤙
It's not exactly metal, as metal wasn't really a thing when this came out but it is super heavy and I would say it's kind of like pre-metal. An indication of things to come. I had this when it came out on 8 track and it was one of the albums in the mix as my buddies and I went country cruising, getting stoned and jamming tunes.
Greatest band to come out of Scotland (my opinion) 1) This Flight Tonight 2) Broken Down Angel 3) Moonlight Eyes 4) Gone Dead Train 5) Dream On 6) Winner On The Night I could go on and on….
Great reaction! I would suggest Changing Times as the next song from Nazareth. I just consider them a rock band, I've been listening to them since the 70s.
I always like (please don't Judas me) off of this album. Check out (homesick again) and also (telegram) off of ( close enough for rock and roll). It's soft or follow-up album to (hair of the dog). I'd put this under the Hard Rock genre.
I got to see this group back in 1975. They are outstanding live. Also the album, Close Enough for Rockin Roll is great ,front to back . Listen to the song, Tellagram first song on the album.
Pretty much every song on the album HAIR OF THE DOG is a greatest hits song.🔥My personal favorites are the title track and on a slightly more deeper level, you can't go wrong with Please Don't Judas Me 💪. They have other good songs on other albums; This Flight Tonight for example is worth a listen, but H.O.T.D. is pretty much a greatest hits album and their most popular.
This is some of the very first hard rock/heavy metal. I used to listen to this in the Army at some of them jungle juice parties. Drunkest I ever been in my life. Wild days
I'm so glad you are getting around to Nazareth! Great Reaction! Folks below mentioned a lot of good Nazareth material for you to check out, like "Beggar's Day", "Please Don't Judas Me", "Telegram", and their cover of the Joni Mitchell song "This Flight Tonight" which is a real banger. One that I did not see mentioned was "Morning Dew" which is AMAZING!
Unless that would be annoyas UN LASS, you just want a good b j, you're my email. Yeah, alright, go ahead, get you a whiskey drink in a moment😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Whiskey Drinking Woman off the same album is awesome s well!!! Something about them Scottish singers with the gravel in their voices! Dan Mccaffery Bon Scott and Brian Johnson all three killer vocalists!
Bizmatic, you really had to be in the 1970s to understand this music as a man.age was no factor in those times.this group and many others was always singing of women.and as I had mentioned age was no factor because you could be 12 years old and have a beautiful 17 year old cheerleader girl like I had.the 70s was crazy man.
Glad to see you doing this one. Most people only listen to 2 songs (Hair of the Dog and Love Hurts) and never get to the jewels like this!!! Definitely dive in - Some suggestions: "No Mean City", "Razamanaz", "Expect No Mercy", "Changin' Times".....
