This second 3 peat Bulls team is the best basketball I have ever witnessed, i mean this team operated like a perfect machine, it was scary, but it wasn't just a machine, it had Jordans flair and brilliance and creativity in there, it had Rodmans incredible hustle and mind games. It had The most solid support player in history in Pippen. He did everything for that team to help them win. And then the supporting cast. Those guys that filled in every other role were just as exciting to watch, because when they had success, the entire team loved it, and they all played to a higher level because they had Jordan making them better everyday in training and pushing them and boy did it pay off. Have not seen better basketball since. They could beat you so many ways. And whatever strength you had, they nullified it. I mean they swept the 60 win Orlando Magic out of the playoffs when Penny and Shaq were at the height of their powers. Shaq was unstoppable and hungry for a title after Hakeem Humiliated him the year before. But Jordan and the Bulls just humiliated him again. And Utah, those guys were the best and in their own right they would have won titles in any other era, but against Jordan and the Bulls it just wasn't to be. So many of those teams that they beat would have won titles in any other era, but the Bulls just didn't allow it. Houston and Hakeem did well to snatch up 2 titles while Jordan was away playing baseball.

With that kind of DEFENSE NO WAY TEAMS OF TODAY CAN JACK UP THREES!!!

Here in San Antonio a radio host put forward the idea of a three-on-three tournament with the proviso that the three players had to be teammates at the same time. That eliminated putting Russell with Bird. So one caller suggests that it stops with Duncan, Parker and Ginobili. They would beat anybody. So I called in and suggested Jordan, Pippen and Rodman and clarified by saying that Rodman would have Duncan talking to himself in two minutes and asking if they really believed that Tony and Manu would stop Jordan and Pippen? End of discussion.

I forgot about Jason Caffey giving these 96 Bulls some good play with limited minutes. But this team has to be one of or the best team of all time! Steve Kerr off the bench hitting 3's along with Judd Buschler and then Randy Brown off the bench with very good defense. When Pippen was hitting his 3 point shot and dishing out assists bringing the ball up the court to start the offense along with Rodman's rebounding and defense this team was just unbeatable. Ron Harper and the GOAT Michael Jordan at the guard positions with 7ft 2in Luc Longley and Bill Wennington at the Center position. This team had it all! Defense and plenty of offense. Then you got the best European player in the world at that time Toni Kukoc...."The Croation Sensation".... coming off the bench winning the 6th man of the year award this year in 96. MJ won the regular season MVP and NBA Finals MVP. Phill Jackson won Coach of the Year. I think Steve Kerr won the 3point shooting contest at that year's All-Star weekend. The Bulls went 72-10 that year as well and won the NBA Finals Championship. Then you have one of the greatest coaches of all time in Phill Jackson running the Bull's assistant coach Tex Winter's triangle offense???!!! Man forget about it! This team was like a well oiled machine! I personally have this 96 Bulls team beating the 86 Larry Bird led Celtics , the 87-88 Magic and Kareem led Lakers , the 89-90 Bad Boy Pistons , the 83 Moses Malone and Dr. J led 76ers , the 2000-2002 Shaq and Kobe led Lakers , the 94-95 Hakeem Olojowan led Rockets , the 2015 Steph and Klay led Warriors , the 2009-10 Kobe led Lakers , the 2017-18 KD, Steph , and Klay led Warriors , the 2012-13 Wade , Lebron , and Bosh led Miami Heat , the 2016 Lebron , Kyrie , and Kevin Love led Cavs as well as any of those 2000's and 2010's Tim Duncan led Spurs teams in a 7 game series!!! 😮
