Rodman is the kind of guy that if he's on the other team, you hate him, but if he's on yours, you love him., Brickowski fell into every single mind game trap that Rodman laid down.
I miss this Era of the NBA. Never a dull moment. Games action packed. Much respect to Dennis Rodman There will never be another rebounder like him. 💖💖💖
@@Marcos.R.Morales I think that's what made the game interesting. It wasn't just about taking a ball and throwing it in a net, you had the chance to get in your opponent's head.
I remember watching these games with Jordan , Pippen , Rodman and the rest of the Bulls . Rodman surely did his part . He was the master of the flop . He knew how to draw the foul . Ge got into the minds of his opponents. It totally frustrated them ! Rodman was a very physical player . He deserves alot of credit because he definitely contributed to the wins .
I remember watching the Bulls at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. Rodman was the entertainment, he laughed, he played extreme defense, and as a spectator, you waited for the next action of Rodman. He was great!!!
Dennis Rodman the X-Factor 100% potent in getting in the heads of the opponents physically and mentally which really takes a toll on the other team.. He doesn't mind not getting all the accolades as Jordan and Pippen. Truly a legend..
Bulls fan my whole life. So blessed to watch 6 championships. My age was 15-22. I watched 100s of those games with my dad and friends. They are a part of me. ❤️
As a Blazers fan during that era I never liked the Bulls or Jordan but as I've gotten older I've definitely grown to appreciate what they did and how great they were. Rodman cracks me up, love watching these highlights
Topnotch sir and there's no other yet whom we can compare with him. His IQ is higher than Jordan and its the reason why Michael took him to make more rings. There are videos clips uploaded in youtube where Jordan and Rodman talking at the bench, perhaps discussing a game plan when it is needed. What I like him most? He is always all in every time he is on the court.
Dennis was the type of player you loved to have on your team, but absolutely hated to play against. The constant cheap shots, flopping, etc. would drive any player crazy.
Yeah Rodman was so much more than a cheap shot artist or a flopper. He was hands down one of the best defenders AND definitely the best rebounder I ever saw.
Rodman knew the game of basketball, he know how to initiate problems to ever big man on every team and Rodman will do something because he knew you going to react and that's apart of his defense
Rodman was allowed in that series. Kemp would've if could destroyed Him. He got away with so much being the worm then. But as much as I like Rodman He deserved some fists to His Chins for His actions. Rodman was a great player but these finals was out of line. Would've been happy to see Kemp share a fore arm shiver to Rodman's Chin as what He did. Don't matter though......this was the Bulls most historic team with Michael and company.
I use to hate Rodman as a Detroit Bad Boy. But as a Bull, I grew an enormous admiration for his disruptive strategies and tireless hustle plays. He was so fun to watch. He even made rebounding exciting to watch.
Loved Jordan's artistry and the battle level of Rodman and Malone. The four tumbles Rodman and Malone engaged in around the 5 minute mark of the video is a clinic on how basketball should be played...giving it everything you have for a title! This video can also be used to teach young people the value of giving 100% effort in everything you do! What a wonderful video :) Brings back tons of fond memories of the Jordan years!
That niqqa Dennis is a perfect example of someone throwing rocks and hiding their hands 😭😭 that shit is so funny 🤣 he hit first then get hit & look at the ref like “You see how he doin me ?!?” 😭😭 Genius
I thoroughly enjoyed Rodman's style of play and love of the game. He was so refreshing to watch, he never had a chip on his shoulder, even with all he had to deal with. Class Act dude!
Dennis Rodman is a very smart guy. I watched him live at the time, and he was always calm. Frank Brickowsk called him out for crushing Dennis before the game, and that was the team's strategy. It was clear that they wanted to piss off Dennis, who was dominating the inside defense, and take advantage of Shawn Kemp. In the end, however, it was Frank Brickowsk's exit that set the tone for the Bulls to win the game. The scene at 8:13 is one of my favorites, as Dennis asks George Matthew Kar, "How's it going? Did your plan work?" It's as if he's talking to him. George Matthew Karl must have thought Dennis was just a crazy guy with a flashy haircut. At that point, Seattle was sure to lose. Teams that underestimated Dennis have always lost. Dennis Rodman is a very smart guy.
@@Vito_Caligiuri lmao draymond at least has some uses as a captain and an actual rebounder and defender. Pat bev just “runs around the court doing nothing” to quote russell westbrook.
Rodman lived in their heads totally rent free. Walton saying Jackson should take him out of the game was one of the worst takes I've ever heard. Rodman was a genius here. He knew exactly what he was doing and Seattle fell for it hook line and sinker.
exactly hes not fouling them either, and when he does foul them, its always low key and subtle to where the refs cant see it or wouldn't really notice it. Remember he got those 2 rings in detroit basically doing the same shit.
When you are great your light shines bright no matter how great the players are around you. Dennis was one of the funnest player to watch in league history. He was the best defender ever hands down.
It's amazing to me that a guy with so many obvious mental and emotional issues can play such incredible mind games . Pure genius if you ask me but I have no idea how he was able to do it.
I dont think Rodman has any more “mental and emotional” issues than the next person. When i watch him in interviews he seems very level headed. He’s a fantastic dude.
Dennis hacia el trabajo sucio, pero lo hizo de una forma tan buena que solo se puede resaltar de buena forma lo que hizo en sus años de juego. Grande Dennis eras uno de los q hacia ver el basket de los años 90
@@willgoble9843 Rodman came off the bench 37% in his career. He was a rebounding specialist and only scored 7.3 ppg for his career. Yeah, he was a role player.
Definition of a role player.... "A term that refers to a player who plays a supporting role on his team, and does it well and willingly. A role player can either be a bench player who is a solid performer in the minutes he gets, or sometimes, a starter who plays a very specific role on the team." He's not the first role player inducted into the hall of fame and he won't be the last. Dennis Rodman was an amazing rebounder, a superb defender, and contributed to the growth and popularity of the NBA. I'm glad he's a hall of famer. He deserves it.
Not only could he defend and rebound , this man knew how to get on your nerves . I know his teammates loved him , the boards belonged to him , plus the best at getting you kicked out , what a great teammates back in the days when basketball was basketball.
No you’re right about that. No way the league is letting an alcoholic run rampant like that through the league now days. He’s an absolute embarrassment.
As Phil Jackson was crazy about Rodman's actions, he understood that having such a player is almost the same as having Jordan or Pippen on the team. Dennis was destroying the opposing team, they're getting into their soul, they're confused, they're furious, they can't think about the game, I don't think about Rodman. A great player.
@@edwin2769 flop sometimes while other times taking and giving out hard fouls; diving for lose balls in the stands; playing great defense and getting a high number of rebounds against actual centers. Flops were a tool in his arsenal that he used but he was still extremely effective without them; can you say the same for harden?
Me too. He was actually one of the first basketball players to get me interested in the NBA. Watching him dunk at the time was something else I never saw before. Loved using him and Payton in nba jam lol
Rodman's mind games and defense was a BIG part of the Bulls 2nd 3Peat success and at @8:45 even the Sonic Fans enjoyed Rodman antics🤣🤣🤣... back then as a basketball fan this was must see tv💪💯 #TheGoodOleNBADays
Chicago bulls was best team in this period of life! I was born in 1988 ans then in 1997-98 i was study in school, was skating on my skate-Blind, was skitchin my agressive roces-Khuti, and of course watching NBA and other more! It was a good time! school years, nostalgie! Scottie Pippen, Rodman and Jordan! When watching this video i see members from childhood and it is warm to my heart!)) PEACE from Moscow City))
I've always loved Dennis Rodman. I'm now a great grandmother and I used to love watching him so much. I think they used to call him"THE WORM", please let me know if I'm right. 😇😇
@@ecokanjukuoh4772 Jordan won 3 rings before Rodman and averaged 37 points before Pippen. Some of you need a reality check. Jordan was Jordan before all of them.
@@air2373 Of course you'll defend him your name is air 23. 😂 if you know the truth Jordan was relying only to rodman and pipen as they were his wings if there weren't wings Jordan was useless it was just the limelight focus on Him becaus he had ability to steal, steal fame. 😁
@@ecokanjukuoh4772 Jordan dominated the league in the big man’s era without a dominant big man in his team. Rodman was way past his prime in Chicago, especially his last year. In 1997 and 1998 finals Malone just destroyed him. I give Rodman the props for the 1996 finals and his overall contribution for the second three peat, but his best years were in Detroit. Pippen was also pretty much finished after the fifth ring. He turned from sidekick to role player fast in 1997-98.
The real finals mvp dudes mind games and defense and rebounding took Seattle out of it rodzilla 👏🏿 7:34 Rodman made sure he wasn't getting sub out and resume to stare at frank 😂😂
Yes! Jordan didn’t have a great series but his first full season back and they won the title on Father’s Day. Jordan’s dad was killed a few years before, there was no way they were gonna give it to anyone other than Jordan
@@krlm2280 Stop please. Michael Jordan was the team"s only elite scorer, and the Sonics entire defensive strategy focused on stopping Michael Jordan. Gary Payton ( DPOY 1996 ), Hersey Hawkins and Detlef Schrempf played defensively against Michael Jordan. Despite this, Michael Jordan averaged 20-Points more than RODMAN. This is a very big difference. *Michael Jordan= 27.3-ppg. FG-41.5% 3P-31.6% FT-83.6% 5.3-RPG 4.2-APG. 1.7-spg,* *Dennis Rodman=7.5-ppg. On the defensive, RODMAN was unable to stop Shawn Kemp. *Shawn Kemp= 23.3-ppg. FG-55.1%* - Guarded by RODMAN. Michael Jordan played excellent defense against Gary Payton and Hersey Hawkins. Before talking about a basketball do at least a little research.
Rodman He's the kind of player who gets on the nerves of the other team, and I think in basketball a player like this benefits the team, as the mistake counts as penalty shootouts.
I used 2 love how Dennis would have the whole arena off balance. The refs, other players, the crowd didn't know what he would do next. Especially after a call
Dennis is, was, and forever will be the greatest menace of all-time. He is a master of the mind games, hustling for the loose balls, and a defensive-minded athlete.
