Ughh I hate Reggie Miller I’m from nyc! I remember when he made 2 three pointers and two foul shots in 18 seconds and beat the knicks!! I mean look I played college ball I can respect him. Iconic playoff performances against the Knicks and the Bulls in the playoffs. Didn't like him during the Bulls dynasty, but after that, began rooting for him especially in the 2000 Finals against the Lakers. And I even shed a tear in his last game. His dedication and competitiveness is among the greatest, and he is the Mr. Pacer.

Miller's charms include threes and clutch strength, but personally I like his loyalty to the Pacers the most. The trash talk with Jordan was hilarious. . @MrMagnaniman
@MrMagnaniman Год назад
@@th3joker9000 As a fan from "small market" Indiana, I can attest that you couldn't be more wrong. There is great benefit to THE FANS. Reggie Miller, specifically, is idolized and respected here because he stuck around and devoted himself, completely, to our team. There probably aren't that many millionaires that can have others buying drinks for them all night, whenever they go out, but Reggie Miller, in Indiana, is one of them.
@th3joker9000
@th3joker9000 Год назад
@@MrMagnaniman Well ofc you'd say that you're a fan of the team he played for and he's an all time great playing for your team, a team that's incredibly boring. You see Indiana never had a huge fanbase even today, and Reggie was probably the best player y'all had which was the only thing that made indiana entertaining, and he wasn't really a superstar. And they aren't a huge market either so they really can't attract superstar talent. If Reggie was smart he would've joined up with Ewing to compete for titles.

Steph Curry's success has added a lot of value to Reggie Miller's career. The Pacers always had a pedestrian roster, but somehow kept winning 50-60 games each year (and even making it to the Finals). It was kind of peculiar how they won so much. Now that we're seeing how much impact a long-range off-the-ball shooter has on 5-on-5 basketball, Miller's/Pacers success makes more sense.

The Pacers finally had the team and the decks cleared and due to piss-poor security and general thuggery by Detroit fans and players, the season was ruined. reggie moved without the ball like nobody i ever saw. steph is kinda like that, but reggie was the OG of non-stop off ball movement. and he was insanely clutch. that game against my knicks when he scored those points in the last few seconds - i fucking HATED him!

I had to watch Reggie at UCLA beat my home town college team every year and he really was, like Magic says, just stone cold from the start of his career: always wanted to make the clutch play. We HATED him as fans of not-UCLA but an amazing player and a great person.

Very good choice of a player and very good quality of a video. Compliments and thanks 👍 Reggie and Indiana deserved a title in late 90's / beginnings of 2000's. In 1998 they gave the biggest problem to the Last Dance, and actually they were to beat them until to 5 minutes to the end of game 7. In 2000's Finals, they had pratically won game 4, when Kobe went off in the last minutes and then in OT: Lakers didn't have any other hope that night and Kobe hadn't ever reached such level earlier in his career. It would have meant to tie the series on the 2-2, with still another game to play in Indianapolis, with all the inertia and those great supporters I don't remember why they lost to Knicks in 1999 .....but at that time, Pacers were better than newyorkers and probably of the eventual champions Spurs too They had a great team also in the mid of 2000's .....they fought Detroit so intensly, and in 2004/05 they seemed to have all the cards to win the title ....when the Malice at the Palace happened, and that destroyed their season and, all considered, their cycle. That was the last year for Reggie Miller, who had to retire without a ring

Always found it funny people rating Ray Allen higher. Ray Allen can’t accomplish the third of what Miller did if he was the main franchise player and not number 2 or number 3 option.

I still remember the playoff series against the Knicks where he scored 8 points in like 6 seconds. Knicks were up 8 with like 30 seconds left. I go to the bathroom, come back and the game is tied. I'm like wtf just happened. 😂😂😂😂
