Yeah that's what I say get rid of the scoring title of the greatest in the NBA history let's give it to someone else LeBron doesn't deserve it hey wait a minute he do deserve it because he has it but who cares get rid of that scoring title give it to my grandmother she's the best, people always talk and think their opinion counts and they never played The game worth nothing people put themselves on pedestals and then worship themselves when his son breaks LeBron records he'll be so happy, hypocrites are everywhere
Bill Russell played on absolutely loaded teams for the 13 years he played, in a league where there were only 8 teams. Russell didn't have to score and could focus on rebounding because he had on average 3 and as many as 5 reliable scorers on his team at once other than himself. Bill Russell played with a team loaded with perennial all stars for 13 years and they were essentially the same guys because there was no free agency for players to opt to go somewhere else. The only all-star and reliable scorer Jordan had for his championship run was Scottie Pippen. Guys like Orlando Woolridge and Charles Oakley could have developed into a second option but he only had those guys for 1 or 2 years before they got traded. Jordan wasn't playing with a de facto all-star team like Russell did for 13 years. You can't say a guy who won 11 times in 13 years has no case for being the GOAT without looking crazy. However, considering the circumstances for which Russell and Jordan won, I say Jordan has a better case.
Hakeem was a beast, his game during his prime was unmatched, Shaq, Robinson, Ewing couldn’t guard him and the all forever what if Jordan hasn’t retired after the first 3 peat …. Would MJ have been handed his 1st and 2nd finals loss
I’ve never seen a star flex at female opposing fans like he gonna do something. He cry’s and flops more than a futbol/soccer player. He blames everyone else, tries to arm chair GM his way to success, and on and on and on.
The Portland Trailblazers often get ridiculed and mocked for being a "joke of a franchise," so if you're the main reason why they even have a Championship, you easily belong in the top 50. Put some respect on his name!
I was such a fan of Webb that I would study him and began mimicking his playing style in my early teens... he literally taught me the game of basketball
2 3 peats for Pippin there’s only one other person on that list all. Not magic not bird not Isaiah not LeBron nobody else. And you’re in the Hall of Fame a lot of NBA players would love tohave what Pippin has.
That Mavs vs Miami finals after "The Decision" and the Wade, Labron, Chris Bosh Miami introduction in Miami was glorious. I Loved Petrovic, I have his card on my altar next to a photo of my mom. I would have liked to have seen Prime Arvydas Sabonis. For the longest time I thought Akeem Olajuwon was the best foreign player I had seen but he won his championships while Michael was playing baseball. Dirk won his against Prime Labron and Prime Wade.
Met Chris, and Antoine Carr one night at a restaurant in Old Sacramento......turns out Chris owned the place......both were really nice, funny dudes....
You are certainly entitled to your opinion, however LBJ'S greatness shouldn't be questioned by something that everyone on today's NBA does and has been doing for some years. If you look at his achievements, does Kobe really come close? Let's not forget that Kobe had quite good talent around him, and when he didn't, he struggled. Lbj for the most part of his career had less than ideal teammates. Every player has shortcomings, but the question is, did he manage to get the innumerous accolades by flopping and complaining? The answer is no. And I know I'll get flak over what I'm saying, but if your reasoning behind why you decided to do what you did is the flopping and complaining, well no current or future player will ever be on the top 5. 😂
Let's keep it real black people are the most athletic people on the planet it's just a god giving fact especially in the game of basketball but there's always a anomaly in anything and that was pistol Pete maravich Walt Frazier is one of the greatest defensive guards of all time when Pete dropped 68 against the Knicks he made the next guards look like they did not belong in the same game scale for skill-wise there was no better basketball player black white or any other color better than pistol Pete and there will never be another white player better than pistol Pete
When you have fired more than 5 coaches, transferred multiple teams to run after rings, gives up on your teammates when you're the needed the most, in your whole career... Man-up.. accept some accountability man... MJ & Kobe didn't do that... they don't make excuses!... They take the last shot!... They take the risk.. and deal with it! They do whatever it takes to win!... Not because you broke their records... you will not come even close to them because they poured all they have and yet all Lebron has less RINGS than them...
#jamalcrawford I'm a hawks fan. I always enjoyed seeing the energy you brought. I watched many of your games. Thank you for helping bring the hawks to at least respected level viewing. You always balled out. Love you man.
Shaq called Bill the greatest big man that ever played the game. Bill Russell, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Walton when he wasn't hurt. So many great players. 2 NCAA championships, Olympic Gold, 11 NBA championships in 13 seasons as a player, 2 as a coach. He stands alone at the top. He said that professional athletes don't get paid to play, they get paid to win. I reckon he earned his money.
Bobby Knight, who'd coached MJ at the '84 Olympic trials, urged Blazers GM Stu Inman (an old pal) to take Jordan. Inman said, "But we need a center." Knight yelled back, "So play him at center!" Inman didn't listen, and the result is a jaw-dropping scene
If you never watched Sabonis whistle a behind the back a assist from the top of the circle...oh my! He was like a 7'4" mix of Bird, Magic, and Ozzfest. Pure joy to watch.
With the exception of Duncan, I can’t definitively say any of the power forwards of that era were better than CWebb. He got robbed of some of his prime years, but he was a top 5 player in the league for a bit and had the Kings in title contention. A couple bounces go their way, and they would’ve kept the Lakers from being a dynasty. Undeniable talent and one of the best passing bigs ever
