It's all about the sounds. MLB uses parabolic mics on both sides of the batter to catch the 3d sound of the bat crack and one behind the catcher to catch the glove pop and umpire.

Dave strikes me as someone who should be a Denver Nuggets fan. Young uber-talented roster, and Denver is a pretty eclectic city with a great bar/pub culture. Since Daz is a Nets guy then Dave could also be a Milwaukee Bucks fan to keep the Office Blokes rivalry within the same conference. Mike should roll with the Miami Heat considering his affinity for Miami with some of the past reaction vids. Plus they’re also a solid team.

Love it! It’s called “being wet”. Sometimes if you’re on the court you can hear someone say “that’s wet” when it leaves their hands because they know it’s going in. Steph Curry is part of the “Splash Brothers” because the sound the net makes. So if you’re shooting and you know it’s going in say “wet!” It’s old school shit talking lol

Charlotte Hornets are an exciting young team to watch Dave, and they aren’t an overly popular team kind of a under the radar team that aren’t the absolute favorites like the Brooklyn Nets are, I’m a Pacer fan so i do think the Hornets would be a good one for you to go with

Free agency is almost over and the hornets are out of cap. Mason plumblee will be the starting c now but the kid Kai Jones we just drafted has crazy upside at center so there's hope.

In middle school, I fired from just off the court and nailed one one handed, but we still lost the game 26 to 80. We were completely outmatched, but I was proud as heck of our team for trying and me for that shot at the end of the game

yeah even the greatest shooters like Steph Curry only hit about 42% of their 3 pointers. If you can shoot above 40% from 3, you're generally considered an elite shooter, depending on volume. Most of the NBA shoots i'd say around 33-40%.

Sidenote: the shot clock resets anytime the ball hits the rim. If the shot clock is running down you have to shoot and at least hit the rim. If you shoot and miss the shot clock keeps running normal. If the ball get deflected put of bounds by the defending team the shot clock resets to 15 seconds. Im sure you dont care about the super specific rules but thats how it works.

Just remember, when you blokes go to shoot. If your right handed, your left hand goes on the side of the ball, as the guide hand. Your right hand pushes through. Snap your wrist as you release the ball.

A small but crucial part of the shot clock that I didn’t hear mentioned was if the offensive team gets a rebound after the ball hits the rim (orange part connected to the net) the shot clock resets to 14 seconds. So in theory, a team could have possession of the ball for 2 minutes if they miss a shot that hits the rim and rebound the ball, the shot clock would reset.

Y'all need to do a Steph Curry highlights compilation. His best 3 on every team, buzzer beater compilation, ball handling compilation, etc. Also, yes they are very skilled but there's a WIDE range of different skills in the NBA. Many players just straight up suck at 3 pointers, and a "good shooter" is someone that can hit 30-38% of their 3 point shots.

Once upon a time, there was no shotclock. Teams started to slow the game beyond enjoyment. They started toying with a shotclock after that. It's 30 in college. They also added offensive rebound rules where the clock only resets to 14 (NBA) or 20 (NCAA) to lower the possibility of a team possessing the ball for an entire minute.

Being a shooting guard in HS and specializing in 3 pointers (Which in HS aren't quite as long as NBA...) this makes me happy. I was over 50% for my HS career, but at a bit less than 6 foot and little other skills, I wasn't a college or NBA prospect. I can still shoot at 42 years old, but I still suck at everything else compared to decent players.

Once one team scores the other team has 5 seconds to inbound the ball back in play and they have 8 seconds to get it across the half court and total of 24 seconds on shot clock to put up a shot from anywhere it can be a 3 point or dunk or layup

If a team plays a team that likes to run, they will install a new net. The newer the net the longer it takes for the ball to exist. Might be half a second, but it buys the shooting team a half a second extra step back to defend.

Curry plays for my local team the Dubs aka the Golden State Warriors and Dame Dolla aka Damian Lillard the best shooting PG not named Curry is from Oakland where I live and played HS hoops at Oakland High which is just down the street from me! Its no surpise thsr Dame, Curry, Trae Young, Harden and Kyrie show up multiple times in this compilation! They are among the best 10-15 players in the league right now!

you get 24 seconds to get a shot off from possession, and if you get an offensive rebound it resets to 14. The ball has to atleast touch the rim on a shot taken before the clock expires or it doesn't reset and you turn the ball over. In college basketball, the shot clock is 30 seconds, so a lot of times you see young guys in the NBA struggling to keep up with the pace of the game in their early seasons.(college basketball is also played in 2 20-minute halves, instead of 4 12-minute quarters).
