Been a Mavs fan since 2006, and man do I wish I could've gone to a game at Reunion, especially a playoff game. That place just seemed so alive and rocking. Extry rowdy proud and loud!
@@user-bq9lh2eb6h38 was older back then. Part of it i think was the physical nature of the game would wear down the players that most didn't last past their early or mid-30s
U cant be great when u ride 2 superstars from day 1 Finley and Nash. He is incredible player but lux to play near them is like having 70% wide open shoot what Garnett or Malone never had. Finley was MJ , Nash was Stockton without defense.
@@goldenstatewarriors4011yes, but they made it past the first round round in 99 and in 2000 so they had some fuel left after that final. You can say this series was the finale of that era of the Jazz
Very hard to believe. But when you factor that John literally played with Karl Malone. Yeah it makes sense why lol. I’m sure the opposite hold true for Malone. What’s his career high in assist? Lol😂
2001 was their last realistic shot at the brass ring Spurs didn’t get their act together until March, Lakers had a shaky regular season until April, Blazers had toxic chemistry, Kings and Mavs were still unproven Utah was challenging for a top 2 seed as late as February. They barely made the playoffs in 2002/2003
@@PIP...33 both were 40 years and had bad roster . Any smart men knows best Jazz team was when Malone and Eaton were in team. Even Mailman said when Jeff left and Eaton retired, they lost the edge. Those 2 finals was only because of 2 GOAT levels but they never had chance because last good roster was with Malone and Eaton Stock and Mail.
You can tell what the difference between old school players and modern players here. Stockton gets knocks down on the floor several times and got up real quick. The modern players stumbles on the floor and will never get up or wait for their teammates to help them up.
The first home playoff game for the Mavs since Game 3 of the 1990 Western Conference First Round. Their first home playoff win since Game 6 of the 1988 Western Conference Finals.
Deym nowitzki moves is so smooth he moves like sg he is so fast for his position. Malone is also in good condition even though he's old age he still can compete with young guns like nowitzki stockton iq is far more than pg nowadays pure fundamental and his passing skills is unbelievable Nash is also a good passer with good chemistry with nowitzki both unbelievable duo
@@PIP...33 Saw that clip recent on YT, he had some podcast. Many players are biased toward their era but i must agree with Kareem, because Dirk is useless player without superteam. This was Finley's team and 3 superstars in Dallas makes them very danger. He never carry roster alone to be great or did multiple things like other 2 way player. Easy to score when others does hard or dirty work in defense while u rest. Doncic and Harden does the same,
@@andresdelportillo9917 We talk bout skills of 2 way and things what players can do, and u talk about rings ? Wtf are u 5 years old. Have u finished school?
Dirk has at least 3 rings with Nash there. They definitely beat Miami in 06 with Steve, and they would have beaten Golden State, San An, and Cleveland in 07. Then of course the championship in 2011.
1:12 HIS SIGNATURE. EITHER U LET HIM SCORE OR U EAT KNEE IN TEETH. INCREDIBLE STRONG GUY. U MUST BE ON GOAT LEVEL TO STAND INFRONT HIM OR DEFEND HIM IN POST.
@@PIP...33 LOL his signature, like his fadeaway foot lean kicked in mouth of defender. Adam Silver banned those moves (likewise Reggie Miller kick on 3's after release)
He is best PG ever. He have everything what PG need, incredible smart, best passer (most matter : low assist to turnover ratio example he dime 15 but lose only 2) , steals and he is close to 50-40-90. Other than that he is only PG in history who set screen on Shaq or Mahorn and other huge bigs.
@@Celtics6-0vsMonkeyJordan ZEKE IS INCREDIBLE TOO BUT I MUST AGREE STOCK IS BEST PG. I DONT LIKE CP3 BUT HIS RATIO IS ALSO HIGH. WESTBROOK PASSING IS USELESS ASSIST 10 LOSE 6. I KNOW I SAY PENNY IS EST TO ME BUT WE COUNT ONLY PURE PG NOT HYBRID.
@@PIP...33 I forgot something I love even more beside his obvious passing steals records and only PG screens, I love he never rest games. His DURABILITY!! I think if him and Malone load managed 450 games like Jordan, they would sweep Bulls 97 & 98 . Although Bulls had 4 HOF Jazz only 2
