Been a Mavs fan since 2006, and man do I wish I could've gone to a game at Reunion, especially a playoff game. That place just seemed so alive and rocking. Extry rowdy proud and loud!

U cant be great when u ride 2 superstars from day 1 Finley and Nash. He is incredible player but lux to play near them is like having 70% wide open shoot what Garnett or Malone never had. Finley was MJ , Nash was Stockton without defense.

2001 was their last realistic shot at the brass ring Spurs didn’t get their act together until March, Lakers had a shaky regular season until April, Blazers had toxic chemistry, Kings and Mavs were still unproven Utah was challenging for a top 2 seed as late as February. They barely made the playoffs in 2002/2003

You can tell what the difference between old school players and modern players here. Stockton gets knocks down on the floor several times and got up real quick. The modern players stumbles on the floor and will never get up or wait for their teammates to help them up.

This was Finley's team and 3 superstars in Dallas makes them very danger. He never carry roster alone to be great or did multiple things like other 2 way player.
