To imply that MJ was just gifted and didn't love the game is asinine. MJ might of loved the game more than anything else...Kobe is his copy...kobe emulated MJ in every basketball respect...why would you think Kobe loved this game any more than MJ...and MJ didn't simply walk away....i hate when people say that. He was dealing with the murder of his father, and likely blaming his own success for his death.

Thank you. Real, Impartial people need to start having platforms on sports because too many people have connections or hard feelings with folks and it’s keeping them from telling the truth/facts and, as a result you have an audience of ppl thinking one way because clearly the masses can’t think for themselves.
@theinktician
@theinktician Год назад
@@MrsKartier Ehh, the impartial people are the ones that cant accept this opinion. What h'es saying doesn't have to be fact - he can be wrong (and he's wrong a lot). But when you are the greatest, no one will be able to accept a statement like this when the question arrives. Other players' parents have died during their careers - parents that were closer than Mikes dad was, and they came back by the end of the year. Truth is, Mike got so good at ball trying to prove his dad wrong. By then he was already the best - so when his dad passed, he lost a purpose. That's what people don't want to look at. Because it hurts the perception of "Michael Jordan IS Basketball" that was marketed to us way back before there were documentaries. And make no mistake, the lesser players that work hard will never be talked about because they never reach the same level of success because the talent isn't there. That's true in every facet of life. There will always be people working way harder to get where YOU are at
@ajjamaal646
@ajjamaal646 Год назад
@theinktician you simply can't speak on what someone else loves or doesn't love...it's that simple...and you can't amass the accomplishments of MJ without loving this game. Imagine becoming successful and being able to provide your family the best life, then as a result of your success your father is robbed and killed...yes other players parents have died...duh...but there deaths are not connected to the success of their child.

For me, I came to competition through tennis not basketball so maybe I have a different perspective. When I was young and I was getting frustrated with tournaments I went to my dad and said "I don't think I love tennis anymore." He looked at me and said "Playing tournaments isn't about loving tennis, it's about loving competition." He only said that one sentence, but there was so much meaning in it and I think it applies perfectly to this conversation. You don't go out and run lines for 30 minutes because you love running lines, you do it so that when you get in that moment of competition you KNOW that you can look your opponent in the eye and be more prepared than them.
