It's already starting to hit me. All these players still going strong in their mid 30's are players I watched as a young teen, when I was starting to love Basketball. They're going to be gone soon and it's kinda sad. But we're being left in great company. Ja, Zion, Tyrese, Cade, Paolo, phenomenal talent. I think the league is at an all time high talent wise.

@@W.S._Ortega yeah but I know what he meant. The legacy was passed effortlessly from Jordan to Kobe to Lebron. There’s no one who is naturally taking the mantle . It’s Giannis” league but he isn’t the personality that Lebron and Kobe were. He doesn’t inspire the same love and hate relationship with players/ fans etc that drove matchups and ratings the last 30 years. Enjoy it while it’s here because it won’t be the same!

just a reminder, Lebron might not have peaked in his mid 30s, as his HEAT days were just so dominant, but he did play his best basketball of his life in 2018 (reg season and especially in the post season which was the greatest playoff run by anyone ever...). Also at 35 he was the Finals MVP in 2020 and led the league is assists while still scoring 25...sounds like prime performance to me...

i feel like steph getting injured during the 2020 season was the greatest blessing in disguise. He was able to get an extended rest leading into the 2021 season, and which is why he probably exploded that season. While players like Lebron and Butler struggled in the 2021 season due to a shortened off season, Curry excelled since he had such a long period of rest

In the 1953-1954 nba season teams took about 60 shots, that meant 120 shots per game. So each game is 2,880 seconds (48 minutes) and divided that by 120 shots. The result was 24 seconds per shot. Adjust for today teams take about 88 shots per game, that means today's clock should be 30 seconds. Any thoughts?

Saying the Bulls' trio sans Derozan has "regressed" is a bit unfair. LaVine is playing fine - maybe not the same level as last year, but his numbers are only down slightly. And Vucevic's numbers naturally won't look as good compared to his peak in Orlando considering he's now a 3rd option and lots of younger guys are getting touches on the Bulls. You can criticize the team's performance, that's deserved, but the other two pieces of the "Big 3" didn't regress in the way the video had implied.
