Man even that series had a few moments..People wanna say East wasn't as strong but look goin back, it was a dog fight almost every series especially with 1st round only 5 games

@@Bigedub101 It wasn't strong at all since the best teams were in the West, the 'moral' finals were usually the WCF, since the winner would beat whatever team made the finals from the East. There are some exceptions of course, the 2004 Pacers,2004-2005 Pistons and the 2006 Heat were very strong. Overall, the East may not have been as strong as the west, but it was very competitive. The East in 2001 was much more entertaining to watch in my opinion than the West, although it was great to watch that Lakers play.

Outside of Charlotte sweeping the Heat, the 01 East playoffs were LIT. East had a lot of comnpetitive series.

Shaq was massacring Mutombo my goodness, and Mutombo was a great defensive player.

When he was in shape, was the best.. Lakers could easily been just as dominant as Bulls .. And I'm a Bulls fan

@@justputdaniel1434 Yeah, nobody was stopping 2001 playoff Shaq lol. Talent wise they might have been the most talented team they would have played against during that 00-02 run. I don’t think they would have beat them though. I think it would have been a more competitive series.

@@brandonconforto315 i think it would have been similar to the pacers series was in 2000. Lakers go up 3-1, drop the closeout on the road, and win it all back home in game 6

I agree they would pushed the Lakers to at least 6 games.
