You seriously managed to find a way to try and Rep Lebrick James and hype any part of his performance in this video. Hilarious you have to be monetized and influenced by Adam Silver to continue trying to build Leflop up in any way. Preposterous
That Jamal Murray shot was one of the most incredible moments I have ever witnessed in sports. The build-up to it...sheesh. Props to both coaches for not calling a timeout in the last minute and letting them play.
@@Sky_Watchers not at all. But they always step back, one or two games per series, to not make it even MORE obvious as it already is... And Lebron immediately complains that they didn't help. You can't make that sh** up.
Bro I literally went to sleep with the lakers up 20 I thought my bet was gone. My gf woke me up “isn’t that your team?” Looked and Murray hit the shot not even 5 seconds later😂
alas, the 4th quarter is the most important quarter in any sports game, and the lakers did not play well in the 4th. meanwhile denver was basically on a 12 minute run during that period. speaking as a lakers fan, when i saw the game was tied with about 2 minutes left and the nuggets were matching the lakers shot for shot, i knew all it would take was one miss and denver would win. and sadly they missed a pretty good look at the end there, which led to murray's dagger. objectively speaking, what a game. denver is the defending champion for a reason.
@@paulgastelum2143 you're right, Kawhi's shot was a game 7 winner. I was just talking about that split second i like to call the "quiet before the storm".
Honestly , I prefer these types of recaps. Great, dense highlights with just the right amount of story line. The quarter by quarter was a cool concept for day 1, but if you're able to get these types of videos out, they're a fantastic recap!
I completely agree, I don't think it's that the Goat didn't want to do this, but that he didn't have the time to do this for the regular season. He'd basically have to watch basketball all day everyday and work on these videos to be able to pump these out! At least that's my assumption.
it's insane actually how well put together this guys style of editing is done. in all honestly I believe this is an evolution in sports recap something the major sports leagues should take notice. I do not think once did this guys use live game play footage to tell this story and recap. I didn't see a score overlay once. it was all an other camera angle and a genius use of replay and slow motion footage to hype up this portion of the play offs. it still amazing to me how well he used his voice over in conjunction with game play commentary lined up perfectly to let us hear what was going within the game while showing us just before we hear audibly before the cinematic angle he chooses of that replay that is associated with it. pure genius NBA TAKE NOTICE.
I think you're the only guy who gave an in-depth analysis of the Cavs-Magic series. ESPN and FS1 doesn't even know that series exist since its all Lakers-Nuggets and Sixers-Knicks all morning. And when they needed a break, they talk about the upcoming NFL draft. Wild.
10:18 one reason I appreciate Jokić so much is fundamentally he’s rock solid. A player who does this move and travels a lot is Brunson as well as Poole. They establish a pivot foot usually via a step back. But in their step backs their foot further from the hoop is the pivot which makes sense. They step through lifting their back pivot, which is perfectly legal so long as the ball is shot before it lands. But they step through AND then jump off their established pivot foot, then shoot before they land. 100% a travel. Whereas Jokić here had a left foot pivot and spins around his defender to get him leaning. He then uses that space to use a very technical step through where his right foot steps and his left foot leaves the ground but he’s shot before he lands. Sounds simple but look close and most players get away with switching pivot feet which makes closing out literally impossible. Refs simply can’t spot clever footwork as well
I haven't watched the video yet ( i will when i finish work ) ...but I'm so grateful for the effort ! thank youuuu it's hard to follow the NBA playoffs when you live in Europe!! You the goat
I unsubscribed from all basketball pundits and major sports channels to just follow you. Such great , unbiased story telling of each series and matchup.
Understandably gutted. That was rough from Lakers perspective, ouch... I would be gutted too, actually I thought I would be gutted most of the game, but ended up in a high. Crazy game, wp Lakers
I like your Playoffs Day 1 vid, but the format for this vid feels much better for me. Hopefully this will be the format going forward. Keep up the goated work!
love the vid, i prefer like this were you cover each game one by one instead of swapping at half time to the other game that was being played. that was hard to watch this was much nicer! keep up the great work
Bro I wanted to thank you cuz your videos are the first to truly give me that same feeling I have when I watch football (European football) and I sincerely thank you for that ! You’re truly a goat !!!
have to admit I try to find the time every morning (in EU zone) to watch all 10min full game replays... but I will also find the time to watch your recaps , because they`re GOAT
When I was in the last year of secondary education (like senior year of highschool in the US) I wouldn't sleep all night to watch Nuggets play what was basically a play in game back then between Minnesota and Denver (last game of the 2017-2018 season). It went into overtime and after the game (Nuggets and Jokić lost) I went straight to school. I don't regret it even though Denver lost that game.
One thing not brought up here was how Jamal Murray struggled the whole night. The post interview with boys in the studio had a feeling of awe and triumph to it and Murray laid out exactly what all of us watching already knew. His teammates trusted him and he kept his big minutes going with very small mid range shots and layups to build his confidence up again. If you would've told him, HE would be the sole reason the nuggets would win the game even though he had a poor performance by his standards and scored no 3's, and that he would win the game with a small 2 point shot. He wouldn't have believed you. He's called blue arrow for a reason but he gave that up to win the game. Legendary performance... for a whole different reason.
Hey man I never comment but I just wanted to thank you for the consistency. I see you switch formats from time to time, like with the day 1 quarter by quarter format, but I feel this game by game format is the best one, where your storytelling really shines ! Keep up the good work ❤
Yo man. I love your content. I don't follow sports like that so I count on your summaries to know what to clip. It has saved me so much time! Thank you from a fellow creator (just a lot smaller)
I watched the Knicks game and the Nuggets game. Both were incredible, fun, impressive and captivating. That Knicks game was SO gritty, the rebounding and defense was insane. Brunson needs some breathing room to make more shots, he has been taking too difficult shots(still gets like 20 and the MVP chants is crazy😂). I can't believe the Knicks won with 2 threes, so ridiculous. Don't even get me started on Jamal's shot.... INCREDIBLE. Jokic 27, 20 and 10 insane as well. I'm loving this playoff.
The thing I love most about these videos is you describing how things go down so I don’t actually know what’s going to happen, I can’t watch games because of work or family
great videos, I love to watch these since I can't watch the games live because they happen at night. so It's good to see a recap of all the things happening
I take back what I said. @GOATiology, Your the best basketball content creator. Jimmy is the Goat at Statistics, but overall, you’re the GOAT. Every time I hear “Stay Goated” I get the chills 😂 🥶
Proof that the culture of the Knicks is what is going to win this series not just our stars. Even when our captain is playing like crap and we are missing our All-Star JuJu we pulled it off. And that Lakers game? Jus WOW!!! Very even coverage of each series.
Murrays game winner is even cooler when you know much he struggled that game. He was like 3/16 at one point, looked out of the game. Team told him to keep shooting and he hits that shot to win the game (as well as a another to keep them in it before hand). Not a game I'll forget any time soon
